    Triton: Building Solana RPC Nodes

    Triton: Building Solana RPC Nodes

    Is an RPC node necessary?

In this episode of The Next Billion podcast, George Harrap engages with Brian Long, co-founder of Triton One. Triton One is one of the first blockchain infrastructure providers for the Solana blockchain.

Brian also oversees the validators.app website and the Block Logic validator, one of the first validators on Solana.

George and Brian dive deep into Triton's history and how the Step app was associated with it from the beginning.

Their conversation covers the Solana ecosystem's current state, recent developments, and the use of cryptocurrencies as regular money.

Brian then illustrates the necessity of RPC nodes and how they are used in actual digital systems. Their discourse finally leads to how more projects are operating their own validators and what that means for the blockchain.

The Next Billion podcast talks to Solana builders that are helping onboard The Next Billion people into crypto.

Listen to George and Stepan's unfiltered, and raw perspectives here and on Spotify at https://open.spotify.com/show/2ELv0CtYJYwcsqb9CdUMJi.

Episode 371: Hervey Bay Squid With Tri Ton

Episode 371: Hervey Bay Squid With Tri Ton

Squidding is ever popular right around Australia - and today's ALF guest Tri Ton has been a keen "Egithusiast" for a couple of decades. And why not? It's fun, they're tasty and are a sustainable fishery.

I really enjoyed this interview because I definitely learned a couple of things from my guest - and I thought I had a reasonable idea when it comes to squid. Always great to learn new stuff!

Politically Motivated Cyber Attacks [ Bostonred Network version]

Politically Motivated Cyber Attacks [ Bostonred Network version]
Since 2011, Iran has worked to establish itself as a prominent aggressor in cyberspace, alongside China, Russia and North Korea. Evolving from mere website defacement and crude censorship domestically in the early 2000s, Iran wasn’t pursuing cyber capabilities with much urgency, experts say, until it was revealed in 2010 that a joint Israeli-U.S. Stuxnet worm sabotaged nuclear centrifuges at Iran’s facility in Natanz Cipher Brief

Cybersecurity isn't easy, but simple principles still apply. Accountability is one, cooperation another. They are the cornerstones of security and resilience in any society. In furtherance of both, and after careful investigation, the U.S. today publicly attributes the massive "WannaCry" cyberattack to North Korea.

The attack spread indiscriminately across the world in May. It encrypted and rendered useless hundreds of thousands of computers in hospitals, schools, businesses and homes. While victims received ransom demands, paying did not unlock their computers. It was cowardly, costly and careless. The attack was widespread and cost billions, and North Korea is directly responsible.Wall Street Journal
