The Son radiates God's own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command." Be encouraged to take some time this week as we are entering into a new year to ask God what He would like you to do this year. 

A new year is a great time to re-dedicate your life to Christ. If you have never given your heart to Jesus, you can today!

Romans 10:13 says, "for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” The greatest miracle of all is salvation through Jesus Christ. It's simple. Just come to the Lord in prayer, believe Jesus paid the price for your sins through His death and resurrection, repent of your sins, and confess Jesus as your Lord and savior. Have you ever had times in your life where you wanted to go back in time and re-do things? In these times, It is the God of restoration that comes and reminds us that YOUR BEST DAYS ARE RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!

So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten” (Joel 2:25). Did you waste years of your life? You may think, “I could have done so much more with my life. We all want to make up to God our lost years, to make amends and repay Him.

Paul said, “Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:13-14). You may feel pangs of remorse for your wasted time, and memories will keep you humble, but in God’s eyes, your past is a dead issue. Your loving Father says, “Forget the past and press on to what I have promised you.”

When you’ve walked through a season of pain, you have to pay attention to what you allow to play in your mind. Instead of dwelling on the negative thoughts, go back to what God said. What He promised will come to pass.

Lamentations 3:21-23 says, "Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning."

Sometimes we look at the place of emptiness as a place to run from. But we should look at that place of emptiness with the attitude of surrender to receive an infilling of God. 

I love how the Message translation describes this in Mathew 5:3  "You’re blessed when you’re at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule."

This week on the Legends series, we are examining Elisha

Elisha didn’t have a grand beginning, in fact, the biggest part of his life was waiting and dreaming.

He spent most of his young years, looking at the rear end of an ox. His life may have started out this way but he ended up with a double portion of the anointing of his mentor, Elijah.

Elisha would say to you: “When you wonder if your life counts… give your best wherever He puts you.”
