    Surrounded - 141

Do you ever wake up in the morning and feel like you're already surrounded by problems, by pressures, and by predicaments, that are left over from the night before?

    Anybody?

I've been there and I am sure you have to! It's in those times in our life we can feel completely alone. It's in those moments that we have a tendency to question God and ask Him if He is really there. And sometimes, that's ok.

Sometimes the question arises in our minds, "does God protect and insulate us from our problems from the inside out or from the outside in"? The situations we are in sometimes makes us feel defeated. We can live in that defeat if we don't understand how God comes alongside us and helps us fight our battles.

It is not your situation that determines your courage, it is how you see your situation that determines your courage.

This week we study a little story in 2 Kings about Elisha. He was surrounded by the enemy, and they wanted to take him out, but Elisha saw into the issue and understood his help was there from the Lord.

There Are More With You Than Against You

There Are More With You Than Against You

What does it look like to be one who trusts God completely despite contradictions from every imaginable source? Shirley lays out the process that’s necessary for each of us, including “eyes wide open” to clearly discern between good and evil plus the answer to an ancient prayer modeled by Elisha the prophet that God would show His servants there are more angelic helpers working and fighting in their behalf than there are demonic interlopers attempting to kill, steal and destroy.

You're Missing Part of the Story - 131

You're Missing Part of the Story - 131

We all have a story. We all have baggage. Sometimes there are parts of our story that we wish we had never had to go through. We always have to remember the things we go through in life are just scenes. It's all of those scenes that in the end puts together the big picture.

But what if God took those bad parts of your story and used them to give you a blessing later? Would you be ok with that? Sometimes it is the scenes that we would have chosen to skip that eventually brings us to the blessing God wants to give us.

We discuss that this week on Connecting the Gap. Please visit our website at www.connectingthegap.net and subscribe to our podcast on your favorite platform. Also, please share as that helps to get God's Word out and that is what he has called us all to do!

We are praying you all have a blessed week!

Dynamic Touch | with Apostle Cindy Jarrett presents | Obey | Part1- 2023

Dynamic Touch | with Apostle Cindy Jarrett presents | Obey | Part1- 2023

Today's message is taken from Genesis 22: 1-13.

Apostle's message looks at the flesh, and how it is not willing to obey God.
It's never easy to obey God. When God says to do something you MUST do it NOW. If you think about it again, then you won't follow,  so jump up and do it.

It's okay to leave others behind, even though it's hard.
We start out with God being obedient. When we go with God, we MUST obey HIM nevertheless.

Elisha had to run from King Ahab because he was obedient. Job served God and obeyed him, despite all his children dying. Jonah didn't want to obey God and ran, he was fearful.

WHEN THINGS GET TOUGH WILL YOU FORFEIT GOD?!

What is it that your flesh doesn't want you to lay down? We have to lay down pride and bitterness and obey, now let us join Apostle Jarrett for part one of today's message.

Sent To The One - The Leper

Sent To The One - The Leper

Following from last week’s message, titled Sent to The One - The Widow, we will continue to go deeper into Jesus’ words that He declared when He was in His home town of Nazareth. When a generation had come and gone since the days of Elijah and the widow to whom Elijah was sent. This was now the days of Elisha. The situation was this. There were two kings. The king of Israel and the king of Syria. As you listen be blessed, empowered and transformed in Jesus' name!

    Marching our March of Faith

    Marching our March of Faith
Israel's sin resulted in her capital city being sieged by the Syrians and experiencing serious famine. When the king repented, Elijah prophesied that within 24 hours, the siege would be lifted and Israel would possess abundant provisions. However, this promise could only come to pass if God's people believed His Word and acted on it. We see how God brought His Word to pass through 4 heroes of faith, namely 4 lepers, who rose up at twilight, and marched their March of Faith to the Syrian camp. When the lepers acted (marched) on the Word of God, then God’s power was released. When the 4 lepers marched, God’s army marched with them, and as a result, the enemy fled in terror and victory was assured! It was only when they acted in faith, walking on the Word of God, that Heaven marched with them, resulting in total victory and abundant provision. Likewise, for God’s promises to be fulfilled in our life, we must rise up out of passivity, and do what God tells us to do, and march our March of Faith. When we arise and march our March of Faith, walking on the Word of God, we are not marching alone, because God and His army will march with us, causing the enemy to flee in terror before us, and bringing us into the full possession of His promise. If the 4 lepers could do it, then so can we!

Seven Ducks in a Dirty River

Seven Ducks in a Dirty River

With a little play on the words, Gary and Rick talk about the healing of Naman the leper. He was a high-ranking official in the Syrian arm that came to the prophet Elisha for healing. Like many today, he thought that his salvation would come through some great deed or effort all his own. What he learned was that coming to God requires humility of heart.

He also learned that we do not get to choose our own path to God. We don't set the rules. Instead, we must submit ourselves to Him even when we don't understand and it doesn't seem to make sense. God's way is always the right way.

    1 Kings 5

1  Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.
2 And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman's wife.
3 And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.
4 And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel.
5 And the king of Syria said, Go to, go, and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of raiment.
6 And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Now when this letter is come unto thee, behold, I have therewith sent Naaman my servant to thee, that thou mayest recover him of his leprosy.
7 And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh a quarrel against me.
8 And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.
9 ¶ So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha.
10 And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.
11 But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.
12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.
13 And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?
14 Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
