    Sean Tufts

    Sean Tufts
His first go around at the University of Colorado was a success: Senior Captain, Big 12 Championship, Honor Roll and drafted in the NFL to name a few. In Sean Tufts second stint at CU, not only did he compete his MBA and was class President, he became the first former football player to also be a Ralphie Handler.

Sean is a Colorado native who attended Cherry Creek High School and had his choice of colleges. He opted to stay close to home and don the Black & Gold in Boulder. He was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the 6th round of the 2004 NFL Draft and played off and on for 3 seasons due to injuries. He was 3 games shy of getting his NFL pension, but no teams were calling so Sean hung up his cleats.

After getting his MBA from CU, Sean took off in the real world. In 2011, he was on Forbes’ 30 under 30 list in the Energy category for his start up wind business. These days he’s in cybersecurity, raising two boys with his wife and is President of The Buffs4Life Foundation which provides help to former CU athletes and alumni with medical bills and access to mental health resources.

YCBK 134: Hundreds of Colleges/Universities Show Financial Warning Signs
In this episode you will hear: (09:15) In this week’s news segment, an article from The Hechinger Report, “Analysis: hundreds of colleges and universities show financial warning signs”, by Mikyung Lee.  The prospect of lower revenues forced by the pandemic could lead to a wave of closings of schools that have already had their fair share of declining enrollments and weakening support from state governments.   (35:30) We are in Chapter 134 of 171 Answers and we are discussing the areas where admissions counselors are not, or cannot be totally honest with students when it comes to money.   (56:45) This week’s question is from Kristin in California. She wants to learn of the application process for and finding a nursing program that is a good fit for her daughter.   (01:11:29) Mark continues his interview with Lisa Przekop, Director of Admissions at UC-Santa Barbara on ‘How the 10 universities of the California system makes admission decisions’.   (01:19:24) Recommended resource: the book, “Hacking Elite College Admissions”. Gaelle Pierre-Louis, a former admission officer at Georgetown takes us behind the scenes to share what selective schools look for and how they make admission decisions (01:31:19) College spotlight: Tufts in Medford, MA ()   Don't forget to send your questions related to any and every facet of the college process to: questions@yourcollegeboundkid.com If you enjoy our podcast, would you please do us a favor and share our podcast both verbally and on social media? The Junkman with Ethan Tufts of Hello Road

The Junkman with Ethan Tufts of Hello Road

It's a movie about the guy making the movie that references his other movies. H.B. Halicki gave us the classic movie "Gone in 60 Seconds." That gave him enough movie to film himself crashing cars over and over again and show off his collectibles while a flimsy "plot" happened around him.

The Junkman - It's a bad movie, but it's still kind of fun to watch. Joining James and Sid for this episode is Ethan Tufts of the Hello Road YouTube channel.

There are almost too many cars to cover in this malaise-era movie, and most of them get destroyed. The stunts are thoroughly reckless and you can see plenty of places where stunt drivers almost died, so, yeah - fun to watch. Kind of.

Make sure you subscribe to @ReelsandWheels on Stitcher, iTunes or Google Play and leave us some feedback!

Check out Ethan's YouTube Channel, Hello Road while you're at it - it's more than just driving interesting cars - it's interesting destinations in those cars: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCASdNl0eESlmjmCVJ2U0D7A

    Episode 3: Feline hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

    Episode 3: Feline hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

Dr. Kelly Diehl discusses feline hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with Dr. Elizabeth Rozanski, a veterinary researcher and clinician with the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. The ailment is the most common form of heart disease in cats, where the muscle in the heart itself thickens to the point that the heart can no longer function correctly to pump blood through the rest of the body. Ultimately, this can lead to heart failure. Dr. Rozanski details this problem and her Morris Animal Foundation-funded research, which looks at ways to train veterinarians to screen cats for the disease.
