Matthew 15:29-31 The Messiah's Healings
If you’ve experienced the oppression of spiritual forces of darkness, or chronic disease, or permanent disabilities, or lingering illness or painful injury, you’ve experienced the truth that this world is not as it was created to be. Decay and death have entered in. Miseries abound. And what we need is the healing and hope only the Messiah can give.
I. The Messiah’s healings overflow to Gentiles, v29. II. The Messiah’s healings confirm his office and calling, v30. III. The Messiah’s healings provoke the worship of God, v31. IV. The Messiah’s healings aren’t finished.
God's Loyal Love
Learning the Psalms can be a helpful way to learn how to pray. In Psalm 13, King David asks 4 times, "How long?" He moves from feeling forgotten by God to seeking God and having confidence in God's steadfast love.
11 - Why doesn't God always answer prayers? (2 Corinthians 12: 1-10).
The 11th episode in our series, Questions of faith, looks at the question: Why doesn't God always answer prayers?
When Your Prayers Feel Unnoticed by God
Today's episode is in response to a listener's question: What do you do if you've prayed about something for a long time and just can't sense any clear answer or direction from the Lord?
God Won't Give You A Stone: Reflections on God Sees Brokenness as Beautiful with Kathryn Wilson
Hi! I’m Karen Hall, Host of The Hero Within Podcast. Thanks so much for being here!
Like Kathryn Wilson, host of the podcast Unstoppable-J_o_y, I felt confused and frustrated. I knew God had the power to do anything, and I’d seen Him perform miracles for others and in my own life. I wondered why He wouldn’t grant me my righteous desire. In this episode, I reflect on Kathryn Wilson’s episode “God sees brokenness as beautiful,” and I share my own wrestle with God.
I discuss how my faith and trust in God grew during my wrestle with Him.
In this episode, you are going to learn:
*Like Kathryn, I also wrestled with God.
*What I learned about the lame beggar who waited 40 years to be healed.
*We may feel abandoned when the heavens are silent.
*God promises that when we ask for bread, He won’t give us a stone.
*The scripture I memorized as a girl that has been a theme for my life
*How waiting upon the Lord became a sacred place
*How the Lord did deliver me and blessed me with the greatest miracle of all.
I know you, too, can have this same miracle in your life!
Wishing you lots of love on your own hero’s journey,
xoxo,
Karen

Why Won't God Answer My Prayers?
Sometimes when we pray nothing changes. Does that mean God isn't paying attention to us or doesn't care? Confusion about prayer has many people walking away from Jesus. Why won't God answer our prayers sometimes? Let's dig into this question on this episode of The Rugged Truth Podcast. Watch now!
God's Truth can endure any attack and answer any question. It's rugged. Our grasp of God's Truth has to be just as rugged in a skeptical culture. On The Rugged Truth Podcast, Dr Bryan Fergus answers real questions that real people are asking about real life with God as he helps listeners develop a rugged faith. The Rugged Truth Podcast is committed to helping people develop a biblical worldview through in-depth analysis of how God's Word impacts our understanding of the issues of the day. Complex theological and doctrinal questions are answered with Scripture and common sense reasoning. The result is a firm grasp of God's truth that allows followers of Jesus to both comprehend and defend their faith in today's skeptical culture.

Episode 428: The Pain of Unanswered Prayer
145 – Why Doesn't God Answer My Prayer?
145 – Have you ever wondered why some prayers get answered and some don't?
Personally, I believe all prayers are answered, just not always according to our preconceptions. There are times when we think our prayers have not been answered, but we just didn’t realize that the answer was, “No,” or something different from what we were expecting.
Is it ever God’s will that someone not be healed or a problem not be solved? Unfortunately, too many Christians have been taught this very thing. I did a couple of episodes on this topic:
- Episode 29: Is it Ever God’s Will You Are NOT Healed when You Pray?
- Episode 98: Is it God’s Will for You to Be Healed?
When you have prayed every way you know how and someone is not healed or a challenge lingers, it is all too easy to think, “Well, I prayed for God’s will to be done and they weren’t healed. So, it must be God’s will this person wasn’t healed.”
But if you start your prayer with even the unconscious inkling that it might not be God’s will for someone to be healed, you cannot pray with the same authority Jesus did.
In this week's episode, I talk about some of the reasons our prayers don't seem to be answered or heal the way Jesus healed. Here are just a few:
- It has to do with our motives
- Undetected fear or sin
- Our lack of faith and spiritual vision,
- And sometimes disbelief and opposition from others
Take a moment for an honest look at your motives. Surrender to God all your carefully constructed plans for your life, all your preconceptions, personal goals, and aspirations. Just for a moment resign your will to God’s.
There’s nothing to fear because God’s will is always good, and so much better than anything we could come up with for ourselves. God will put you in the path that glorifies Him and blesses mankind the most. Be like a little child. Put your hand in God’s and trust Him to guide you.
Hold your life up to the standard Jesus set in the Sermon on the Mount. This is not about beating yourself up because you’re not doing everything perfectly.
Always acknowledge how much you’re doing right. But ask God to wash away any fear, uncertainty, or sin that may cloud your clear spiritual prayer-vision.
Quietly but with boldness: acknowledge God’s supremacy over all the lies of Satan; rejoice that God has revealed the remedy for all evil through Christ; claim and exercise the a

Is God Listening? – Dave Deuel
“Suffering can feel like a darkness that blinds us to God’s presence. In the dark, you can stand next to someone and not even know they are there. Suffering can do that to us spiritually. Although God is always close by, we can feel alone.”
What do you do when you beg God to help you and it seems like nothing changes? You ask for relief, but circumstances remain overwhelming. You plead for reasons, and it feels like God is silent.
Is God listening?
Today on the podcast, Crystal is sitting down with Dave Deuel to talk about God’s attentive ear in the midst of unplanned, life-changing situations. Father to Joanna who has Down syndrome and is now in her 30s, Dave and his family have walked through challenging seasons of disability and mental illness. Listen as he shares how suffering has shaped his understanding of God, and he offers practical ways that you can press into Christ in the midst of your hardship.

29: Experiencing God's Faithfulness with Amy Satterfield
Sometimes it seems God isn't answering our prayers. This quote by Anonymous might give us some insight: "When you're going through something hard and wonder where God is, remember the teacher is always quiet during a test."
My guest, Amy Satterfield, spent years praying for children. Many unsuccessful attempts led to desperation and a crisis of faith. Why wasn't God answering her prayers? Why was He silent? Was this a test?
During her lonely and empty times, Amy experienced God's presence through His Word. His faithfulness to His children was written on every page. Slowly, Amy realized surrendering her desire to have a child led to an acceptance and appreciation of God for who He was and not what He could give her.
As her heart changed, her prayers changed too. She discovered His plans for her life - children or no children - were the vesy best plans for her life. After five years of waiting, God answered Amy's prayer to have children. While her children are answer to prayers, she knows those years had another purpose: surrendering to God allowed her to experience God's faithfulness in all aspects of her life.
Maybe you haven't struggled with infertility, but I bet you have struggled at some point in your life with why God isn't answering your prayers. Amy's jouirney of experiencing God's faithfulness might help you when it seems your prayers aren't being answered.
