Also known as the Tamam Shud case but for most of us we know it as the Somerton Man from Australia who was found dead on Somerton Beach on December 1st 1948.

With recent events, this man was finally identified and the case was partially solved.

They now know the identity of this man. 

With so many twists and turns and the amount of intrigue since it first came to light in 1948, I was surprised it had remained unsolved for all these years but now that the case is solved, it gives us a better understanding of this man and who he was.

We want to just say, one more time a huge sorry to Michelle for butchering names and places.

An unidentified teenage girls body is found naked in 1980 alongside an Interstate highway, 35 years later a mysterious picture surfaces...

Who was the young woman known as Walker County Jane Doe, and what lead to her badly beaten body being found near Interstate Highway 45 in Huntsville, Texas.? Today on the Solvable Mysteries Podcast, Juras and Glenn review the troubling case of an unidentified young woman who did not fit the profile of a runaway, yet found herself in the town of Huntsville, Texas on late October 31st, 1980.  She had not identified herself, but left some clues in terms of conversations she had with witnesses in Huntsville, as she asked for directions to the Ellis Prison Farm nearby.

The young woman, later classified as an unknown "Jane Doe" by Walker County authorities, has stumped investigators ever since.  She died a violent death, had been assaulted in multiple ways, yet seemed to have come from a middle class, caring home and did not fit the typical runaway teen profile.  Despite this, no one has ever claimed her body, and despite the best efforts of investigators and online sleuths, there are no leads as to who Jane Doe was, or who killed her.
