#204: What it Means to Own Your Choices

#204: What it Means to Own Your Choices

In this Monday mindset episode, I am interviewing 3 young girls, Ava, Avalynn, and Avalina.  I have worked closely with their moms in the past few years and these girls have frequently heard the words and messages of “ownership, own your choices and radical responsibility”.  Join me for this incredibly special episode as we chat about the meaning of Own Your Choices Own Your Life. This is the beautiful ripple effect of making an impact and sharing the lessons from our stories.

    In this episode we discuss:

    1. What the words “owning your choices and radical responsibility” mean.
    2. How important it is to use your gifts and the impact they want to make in the world.
    3. What they have learned from their mom’s by watching their behaviour and choices.

    #201: Intentions Not Resolutions

    #201: Intentions Not Resolutions

    #201: Intentions Not Resolutions

In this mindset episode, I am talking about intentions, not resolutions, and the power of scripting.  Before you start planning for 2021, it is important to do a self-assessment of 2020.  What were your wins, what accomplishments are you proud of and what lessons did you learn?  This exercise in scripting that I describe in detail is all about intentions and not resolutions.  Resolutions focus on external rewards and that can create anxiety, are not always achievable, and don’t reinforce the habits required to sustain long-term changes.  Intentions focus on long-term change, achievable and sustainable, and focus on the habits that create the results.

    #145: Are You Really Stuck?

    #145: Are You Really Stuck?

    #145: Are You Really Stuck?

In this mindset episode, we are talking about the words, “I am stuck”.  We use the words saying being stuck on a regular basis and the words themselves keep us stuck.  We are putting ourselves in that situation simply by the words we are using. Here are a few thoughts and tips to see if you actually are stuck, PS you are not.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    1. Ask yourself what you are fighting? What do you know and what is it that you don’t know? Are you living in comparison, go internal, and ask yourself the questions to see specifically what it is that is leaving you feeling stuck?
    2. If you are in the middle of making a decision and you are contemplating all sides of the decision, I encourage you to re-listen to Episode #103, The Energy of Making Decisions, https://apple.co/3iAMzUA
    3. Ask yourself the tough questions, such as what is it that you are truly afraid of? Keep asking the question until you can get down to the root of it.  Look at what isn’t working in your life and break down why it isn’t working?  Maybe the change you are looking for is only a couple of decisions away.
    4. Be mindful of the story you are telling yourself. Contemplating one difficult decision does not mean you are a complete failure, so don’t take a massive leap and tell yourself a story that just isn’t true.
    5. Remember that growth can be painful, change can also be painful. Nothing is as painful as staying stuck in a story or a life that is no longer serving you.  You staying “stuck” also doesn’t allow you to use your gifts, and someone is praying for a solution that you are holding onto.

    We Have To Love

    We Have To Love

    Episode 91

Thanks for tuning in Folks! In this episode I am focusing on a very important passage of scripture in the book of Luke about Love. As we face a very trying time in our lives with the Covid-19 pandemic, people being murdered and so much more. In this message I discuss the many issues going on in our world right now and offer hope from the Word of God. The current situation where the Black gentlemen was killed by the police officers was truly tragic and such a sad situation and very uncalled for. And yes there are many murders all over the word every day but it’s always rougher when it hits close to home. Pray folks but not only pray it’s time to think of ways to impact the lives of those around you in any way you can. My prayer is that this episode will open your hearts and eyes and get you stirred up in the Word of God and cause you to make a difference right where you are at. God Bless and Love to You All.

    Who's Controliing Your Chess Piece

    Who's Controliing Your Chess Piece

    Episode 90

Thanks for tuning in Folks! With so much going on in the world life can get confusing. Some of us are learning more about ourselves as well as those who we live with. If we are really honest we will even admit that we realize that we have some things in our own lives that need to change. In this message I want you to focus on who is controlling your chess piece. Most of you have heard of the game chess where two people strategically control specific game pieces to beat the other player by trapping their King in a position called check mate. I want to encourage you today to not let Satan control your behavior instead let the Holy Spirit do the guiding.

It’s not an easy time right now for many around the world, but we have hope in Jesus Christ and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit we can overcome this pandemic and continue being a light in this world. The World needs you right now, no matter what your gifting, your calling, your talents. Just like chess pieces you have something that you are better at then I am. Use it to reach people and impact the lives of those around you. Not only during this Covid 9 mess but even after. We need you Brothers and Sisters, the World Needs You. God Bless Love to You All and I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

#123: Impact Yourself. Impact Your World. with Hilary Gauld Camilleri

In this episode, I am speaking with my friend and incredible photographer, Hilary Camilleri.   Hilary has taken my photos for the past 5 years and she truly has captured my emotional journey, including the picture for the cover of my book. I am so grateful to have Hilary on the podcast and give her an opportunity to highlight her story of impacting others.

Following a rewarding career as a Sales Representative and Territorial Manager at Labatt Breweries Canada, Hilary transitioned to a career in photography, opening One for the Wall in 2008. Since then, she has used her considerable knowledge of business and sales to grow a very successful enterprise, photographing over 3,500 families in Southwestern Ontario in the last 11 years. In 2011, she began to branch her business into commercial and corporate photography, creating imagery for promotional and marketing purposes, as well as executive and professional profile portraits. Hilary has quickly become known in the thriving local business community as the first choice for both natural light and studio light photography. Alongside her corporate work, she has also created a strong portfolio of actors, singers, speakers, and other arts and entertainment professionals, who are drawn to her dramatic lighting and creative composition. In 2018 she was awarded the K-W Oktoberfest Rogers Woman of the Year in Arts & Culture. Hilary loves living in the dynamic community of Waterloo Region and is proud to share her passion for entrepreneurship, volunteerism and community involvement

    In this episode, we discuss:

    1. Embracing all of our traumas and difficult experiences we have had in our lives and learning how to use them to become more enlightened human beings.
    2. When we do the internal work on ourselves and commit to the process of learning and loving ourselves, we can truly step into our gifts to create an impact in the world that we are capable of creating.
    3. How society can lean into this pause and experience of covid19, and how can we come out of this time as stronger leaders and humans.
    4. When your work is tied to your purpose, you are standing in your gifts and that is when you can make the biggest impact in the world.
    5. Everything happens for a reason. We aren’t necessarily supposed to understand or make sense of the reason, yet there is always something we can make of our challenges and our story.
    6. Hilary recently created an Instagram page called, My Four Walls and it is a global diary on thoughts and spaces during isolation in the 2020 pandemic. Found on Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/my.four.walls and she will be on City tv on April 7th at
