    Jason McMurray Backcountry Snowmobiler

    Jason McMurray Backcountry Snowmobiler

What risks are you willing to take to ride more often?

It takes effort and a certain level of risk to live a perfect lifestyle.

What are you giving up if you don’t live your dream lifestyle?

We all know that life has certain risks. Just driving down the road is a risk of life and death in certain circumstances. We don’t normally think about the risk though when we travel and focus on the risk of injury or death when we are out riding and enjoying our passion. There is also a level of risk with occupation as well. And somewhat recently, we’ve learned that most jobs aren’t secure… so what’s stopping you from living your perfect lifestyle?

Today we sat down with an awesome sledder out of Canada. Ontario to be more specific. He’s been mentioned on the podcast before and it was awesome to get an opportunity to sit down and chat about his lifestyle. Jason McMurray is a talented rider that has pushed himself to figure out how he can manage sledding for 40 or more days a year with a strong career and balance a family. He’s making it work. The lifestyle we all want takes risks but the rewards are high as well. Stoked to see where Jason is taking his journey next.

    Enjoy!

    Marcel Michitsch One Legged Racer

    Marcel Michitsch One Legged Racer

What challenges keep you from riding?

When you get injured, do you quit?

Honestly, this is a tough discussion to have..

There are many ways to get injured, right? Some are simple falls but can have devastating results. Others are crazy instance crashes and you might walk away with a minor damage. Then there are those crashes that happen for you and your life is turned upside down… that is truly the time you can decide to quit and be done completely or decide to become somebody different and push yourself to another level. The choice is completely up to you.

So many surprises came from today’s podcast. There is so much information to talk about in such a short amount of time. Marcel Michitsch is always pushing himself to find his limits which keeps him extremely busy in his life! He’s decided to push himself more and not let his life challenges slow him down. From many podium wins to great social media content, Marcel is a fantastic guy and we are stoked to share his story with you. OH and you might know him as One Legged Racer.

    Dustin Phares Moto Trainer

    Dustin Phares Moto Trainer

Social media can be so time consuming, right?

It seems that if we are thinking we are watching a video for a min or two..

We find ourselves hours later still scrolling through stories and reels!

There are some individuals out there that make great content or are extremely talented and their content is hard to pull away from. Seems as though that is the mission of these platforms.. Right? But seriously there are some extremely talented athletes and they can captivate audiences with their talents. So it’s hard to pull away in person or online.

When I originally chatted with Dusty Phares, he told me he was talented but I was skeptical for sure. “You should see me ride dude. I’m FAST!” is a statement I hear regularly. So when I hopped on Dusty’s instagram account, he showed his talent in just a few videos! He is stupid fast and talented and has been racing for a really long time. From his young years racing to his track training, Dusty is a great athlete and works really hard on himself and what he wants to achieve in the industry.

    Enjoy!!

    EP 31 James Cantrell

    EP 31 James Cantrell

A play on the triumph and losses in performance and life.  The Talent Tank podcast will navigate the inner workings of lifestyle, lives, family, teams, careers, programs, and technology in and around the offroad motorsports industry.  What breeds success with your Talent Tank on full, failures when its on empty.  From the journey to the Starting Line to take that Green Flag, on to exploring trials and tribulations on and off the track in pursuit of victorious achievement and the Checkered Flag.

The Johnny Knoxville of Ultra4 Racing hailing out of the great state of Kentucky.  None other than the Madram11 sponsored UTV driver James Cantrell @j_cantrell502 sits down for a dive into The Talent Tank.  This guy is currently in Ultra4 National Championship UTV title contention, so we got him to take a quick break and talk about life, hard work, race prep, or lack of race prep.  Making sure you are having a good time, and how to properly load a trailer and change a tire.

    After the Checkered Flag-
Here are six basic steps you should follow when loading a trailer, including parking on a level surface, loading heavy items first, following the 60/40 rule and tying down cargo.

    • Always load on a flat level surface
    • Emergency brakes applied (trailer too if equipped)
    • Chock the tires to prevent rolling (it’s best to chock the last axle). If there are multiple axles on the trailer, chock the last axle
    • If observing stay away from the vehicle, and do not approach the loaded trailer until the implement is in park with the brakes locked.
    • If the vehicle or implement rolls or shifts while loading … DO NOT PUT YOURSELF IN DANGER.
    • Trucks, trailers and equipment can all be replaced … you cannot.
