Intelligente Illusionen – Was sind kognitive Verzerrungen, Michi?

Intelligente Illusionen – Was sind kognitive Verzerrungen, Michi?
An wen? Das hört ihr zum Ende der Episode. How to Update Your Product’s Design to Meet Users’ Expectations

How to Update Your Product’s Design to Meet Users’ Expectations
If your product is out there for a long time, it may get old in terms of its functions, capabilities, and relevance for the user. There’s nothing wrong with that—the world nowadays changes extremely fast, and so do users’ needs along with aesthetic trends.

When done right, a redesign will refresh your product in the eyes of users and ensure their loyalty. However, if failed, a redesign can get it in trouble.

Ramblings of a Designer ep. 124 - Zane Milakovic

Ramblings of a Designer ep. 124 - Zane Milakovic

Today we talk about development, design and product. Zane, a former game designer, made the transition back to web development 11 years ago. He has spent most of his middle career helping Fortune 25 companies upgrade their digital experiences, and bridging the gap between design agencies and technology teams. He has recently focused on looking at technology and products end-to-end and how technology and end-user experience can define and drive product development and go-to-market strategies. As a father of two, he spends most of his free time with his two girls exploring the many Indiana trails. At least when he is not playing video games or watching superhero movies/tv shows

Meet Emily, Who Makes It Possible For Anyone To Create Apps For Amazon Alexa Or Google Assistant

Meet Emily, Who Makes It Possible For Anyone To Create Apps For Amazon Alexa Or Google Assistant
Emily Lonetto makes it easy for anyone to create apps for Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Her company, Voiceflow.com, is bringing democracy to the mushrooming industry of voice assistants like Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant.

Until now, only advanced coders could create apps for voice assistants, but Voiceflow has created a template where any creative person can script out a dialogue for their voice app and then Voiceflow automatically writes the code behind-the-scenes to make that app chat with users simply and beautifully.

I love Voiceflow because it knocks down the fortress that previously contained only coders within its walls. Now, we all can create beautiful voice apps easily, and make our contribution to voice-driven computing. That’s diversity, that’s access, and that’s creativity.

Thanks to voice assistants like Siri, Alexa and Google Assistant, soon we will talk to our computers as easily as we talk to our fellow humans. Speech recognition is rapidly improving, and we can look forward to a seamless experience as we work, watch video, listen to podcasts, or do errands hands-free: moving from our phones to our cars to our homes.

The technical term for these voice assistants is VUI or voice-user interface, and the “wizards behind the curtain” who create the voice experience are known as VUI conversation designers,
content strategists, or UX/UI writers. This is a very exciting, rapidly growing career and I want you to hear from the industry leaders.

I dream of the day when we can talk to computers as easily as we speak to each other, and computers will become much more powerful, convenient tools than we can imagine. Join me in learning from the experts of this burgeoning field.
