EPISODE 39: “You’re Cerebral Palsy Hacked, What Now?” with Anna Merrill Hello and WELCOME to the “You’re _______, What now?” Podcast! I am your host, Marci Nettles. I have had a lifetime of opportunities where I had the choice to Breakdown or Breakthrough... did I always make the “right” choice? Nope. I did however find a way to continue moving forward until I was able to see there was a path through my chaos into joy. This Podcast may become your light in the darkness, as you listen to the stories of people I consider “heroes.” Each one had a point where they too had to choose to either Breakdown or Breakthrough! In this episode you will hear an incredible story of a young girl whose mother had to make a difficult decision, leg braces or a wheelchair for the rest of her life... her mother chose the braces and even though she had significant pain as she grew, she became a teacher, got married, had a family of beautiful children and is now a warrior for inclusion for ALL! 𝘼𝙣𝙣𝙖 𝙈𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙡𝙡 loves people and gives lifestyle prescriptions including Connectedness, Resilience, Movement, and Nutrition to help others avoid medications and surgery. Activating their bodies to work at their best! Her motto is Everyone Happier and Healthier! Anna graduated from ASU, in Education and Art, has attended several community colleges and BYU, continuing education. She runs the Exploring Art program in her community, is a published illustrator, and continues to teach in the school district. Anna and her husband, Loren Merrill, coach the NPC college basketball team and run Special Olympics Unified in the White Mountains. They love their 6 children, three of which have cerebral palsy.
