Ordinary Steps For An Extraordinary Wealthy Life w/ Candy Valentino

Ordinary Steps For An Extraordinary Wealthy Life w/ Candy Valentino
Remember who you are. Remember that you survived 100% of your worst days because you’re still here…” This week, my guest, CANDY VALENTINO, and I will talk about a subject near and dear to everyone’s heart. That subject is MONEY. How to MAKE IT. How to KEEP IT. The kind of MINDSET you’ll need. And whether the accumulation of wealth is WORTH IT or not. I want you to hear Candy’s story because she started out like most people…with little more than GRIT, DETERMINATION, and unwavering CONFIDENCE. Candy is the REAL DEAL. She’s been successfully building businesses since she was 19. And doing so with NO DEGREE, NO CORPORATE BACKGROUND, NO MONEY, and NO INTERNET ACCESS! Since then, she’s built and sold businesses in service, retail, e-commerce, and product manufacturing, creating a vast real estate portfolio as a flipper and investor. Pay close attention because in the hour we spend together, you will get a TACTICAL MASTER CLASS in creating wealth and using it for GOOD CAUSES from a woman who has become an important author, investor, philanthropist, and more. Much of what we talk about is how to position yourself mentally for financial success. You’re going to hear why Candy advocates for thinking of yourself as a business owner instead of being self-employed. That leads us to the psychology behind LIVING BELOW YOUR MEANS, why RELATIONSHIPS are critical and need to be nurtured as much as possible, GOOD DEBT vs. BAD DEBT, INVESTING LEVERAGE, and why SIDE HUSTLES should be an essential part of your success formula. Many of you also wonder if PLAYING THE LONG GAME and all the SACRIFICE is worth it. It’s no secret I think that’s the case. You’ll want to hear Candy, and I discuss what that sacrifice means, the problems money solves, and more importantly, the problems money does not solve. You rarely get an insider’s education like this, and the best part is the only cost to you is to PAY ATTENTION It’s an INVESTMENT you won’t regret. Learn more about your ad choices. 3 Daily Practices of Successful People & 2 Ways to Improve Your Relationship with Money

Today, I am bringing something new to the table. With my good friend, Lewis Howes of The School of Greatness podcast, we’ve decided to join our heads together to talk about conversations that are uncomfortable, pressing on taboo topics, a bit thought provoking, and sometimes awkward to discuss openly. This is a space where we try to answer questions many of us may have thought of but didn’t have the opportunity to freely seek for answers.

So, welcome to the first episode of the Awkward Therapy Conversations. Lewis and I address the doubts surrounding our spirituality and becoming successful. Can we aspire to be wealthy and be spiritual at the same time? Do we have to give up success and wealth to deepen our spiritual intention? Introducing "Persona: The French Deception"
Introducing the true crime podcast Persona: The French Deception— the story of Gilbert Chikli, one of the greatest con artists of all time. What does it feel like to pick up the phone and scam someone out of $50 million? Host and award-winning journalist, Evan Ratliff, investigates how Chikli successfully duped some of the world’s most powerful people into handing over their fortunes. He explores how Chikli evaded the law for years and became a Robin Hood-like hero. An Open Discussion on Motivation & Embracing Risk

An Open Discussion on Motivation & Embracing Risk

Money, motivation and embracing risk are the three things that Rob talks about in this engaging and enlightening episode. He talks all about what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur, what you need to do to create motivation, learn to love yourself, manage risk and do what it takes to build and live the life you want.

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

    • There are things you don’t need motivation for. Things you are intrinsically motivated to do. Pinpoint what these are and harness them.
    • Money buys you health, freedom and choices. So money can help you live the life you want.
    • Money isn’t inherently evil or bad. Money just amplifies what it is used for, money can be used, and is used, for so much good in the world.
    • Not having the need to please people is good for success. If you can work on any people pleasing attributes and learn to love yourself that will help you on your journey.
    • If you continue to solve problems, then you will continue to be rich. Your reward for solving a problem is a bigger problem and this must be seen as an opportunity. If you adopt this mindset then you will be rich.

    BEST MOMENTS

“There are things you do that no one has to talk you into doing”

    “Money can fuel good”

“If your passion isn’t your profession, then you’re doing the wrong thing”

Gerald Ratner: Losing £500MILLION During One Failed Speech

Gerald Ratner: Losing £500MILLION During One Failed Speech

In this episode, Rob speaks to former CEO of Ratner’s Jewellery, previously the UK’s largest jewellery chain, speaker, entrepreneur and author Gerald Ratner. They talk about his infamous speech and discuss and debate Money; what it is, how it’s changing and why it’s important.

To hear Rob’s very first interview with Gerald, go to episode 16 on the Disruptors Podcast, he was one of the first people Rob interviewed when he first began podcasting!

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

    • After the infamous speech, Gerald Ratner lost half a billion. He says that people can learn from him and what he lost. When it happened it was devastating but he is now the happiest he has ever been. Some things really do happen for a reason.
    • What hurt Gerald the most after the downfall, is thinking about all the work he had put into the business over the years and that it had all been taken away because of one foolish joke he made. He also feels sad that people thought he had contempt for his customers, which couldn’t be any further from the truth.
    • When Gerald was making millions, money didn’t matter to him. He had enough for anything he desired and his real passion and excitement at the time was reserved for the business. This changed when he lost half a billion. He admits that you don’t know how to appreciate money until you no longer have it.
    • There is nothing worse than being a failure and there is nothing better than being successful. We are put on this earth to work, challenge things and to compete against others. In business, you get the best brains. Successful business people do not spend their time trying to convince people they are brilliant, they just get on with things.
    • Gerald does not believe money is evil. It’s important, making money takes skill and intelligence, you can do incredible things with money and make such a positive impact. No one should feel guilt for having money.
    • You need entrepreneurs to generate profit to pay for services. The private sector supports the public sector. The government could learn a lot from entrepreneurs and businesses.
    • Life is about balance, with work, money, tech and everything else. Spending 14 hour days at work for example, isn’t good for anyone.
    • School is about training your brain. Teaching you to use it and to learn. this is how it aids you for the real world.
    • You can’t be a wallflower is business. You need to be out there in the world, people need to know who you are and this translates onto social media too.
    • Money doesn’t make Gerald happy. He of course would rather have money than not but you have to know how to use it and how to live the rest of live. On its own it’s not enough.

    BEST MOMENTS

“To make money, you have to use your brain”

“If you call one of your products crap then people think all your products are crap”

“I believe the finest brains are in commerce”

    [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]

#209 BITESIZE | How to Create a Happy Life | Professor Paul Dolan

We all want to be happy, but what truly brings us happiness is often not what we think.

Feel Better Live More Bitesize is my weekly podcast for your mind, body, and heart. Each week I’ll be featuring inspirational stories and practical tips from some of my former guests.

Today’s clip is from episode 54 of the podcast with behavioural scientist and author of the books ‘Happy Ever After’ and ‘Happiness by Design’, Professor Paul Dolan.

Paul believes that happiness is subjective and if we free ourselves from the myth of the perfect life, we can each create a life that’s worth living.
