 I got a chance to interview Katherine from Balloons Concepts FL. We spoke about the balloon artistry industry, how it relates to weddings and how to create a beautiful/unique design for a ceremony or reception.

Balloons are incredibly versatile and, in the right hands, can be used to create just about any theme, scene or backdrop you have in mind, from princess carriages, flower wall photo backdrops to life-size bride and groom sculptures that really do look like the actual bride and groom. 

The best balloon artists tend to have a great deal of creative flair and like nothing better than coming up with new ideas and new designs to reflect the theme or colour scheme of your event.

It's important that your balloon artist understands the principles and elements of design. Have you ever looked at something like a floral arrangement or table centre piece and thought that it just didn't look right, but you didn't know why.

That's because there are some basic principles that all good design needs to adhere to and if these principles aren't observed, the design looks 'off' and visually unappealing.

So make sure your decorator knows about the principles of design (unity, harmony, proportion, scale, balance and rhythm) and the elements of design (form, line, space, texture and color), otherwise you may be disappointed with the result.

Canvas prints decorate and add a personal touch to your home. But it’s important to carefully choose the photo you want printed. Not all photos look great when they are printed on a large canvas.

First, you MUST choose high resolution images

It’s best to start with a high resolution photo so that the photo won’t lose detail or sharpness when it’s printed onto a large canvas. The best way to ensure your photo is the highest quality possible is to use pictures professionally taken by photographers.  The ones that your sister took on her cell just wont cut it.  Yes!  Even if she has an iPhone 10 plus plus

I want to cover something that is absolutely something to think about for every bride planning her big day. Do I have to wear makeup on my wedding day?

This question has probably run through your head hundreds of times. It seems as though every bride is glammed up for her big day. Social media and different wedding magazines show the prettiest brides with flawless foundation and perfect rouged lips. As you scan different looks, none of them quite suit you, or they may feel over the top. 

If you are not a makeup wearer, then the ins and outs of wearing and applying makeup may
seem overwhelming. There are tens of foundations and hundreds of eyeshadows to browse through before you pick the right look for your dress and hair. Wearing makeup can sometimes seem essential to brides getting ready for their big day, but it doesn’t have to be.
