    I have a lot to be grateful for in my life when it comes to my family, marriage, jobs and more. But then there is the whole “almost dying thing” that really caused me to look at the world a little differently and make the decision to do something more with this life I’ve  handed. Today I want to provide you with a mindset shift and inspire you to look at things a bit more positively, as hard as that may be sometimes. I believe your self talk is the key to changing your relationship with food, not the food. Join me and let’s dive into these topics:

    • Things that made gratitude easier for me.
    • Dealing with the pressure, real or imaginary, from yourself and others when losing weight.
    • “The touchers” and not being in control of how your situation makes other people feel or how they are processing.
    • Various forms of gratitude practices you can explore.
    • Learning to celebrate and be grateful for every small win or step you take in your weight loss journey.
    • Tough love and beating yourself up is not the way out.

    044 When You Gain It Back

    You are definitely not alone if you’ve ever lost weight and gained some, or even all, of it back. In today’s episode we will be disrupting the shame that is so important we learn to let go of! I’ll be sharing some of my personal story during a time I experienced all of those painful feelings of shame, humiliation and failure, what I learned from it and tips on how you CAN combat that negative mentality and overcome it. Let’s take that small step forward together. Tune in to hear more about:

    • The one thing that matters more than your reason for gaining it back.\
    • Validating your feelings, reflecting and using the 3A Way.
    • The challenges, insecurities and humiliation I experienced during my time in the hospital dealing with pregnancy loss, weight gain and physiotherapy.
    • The only way to get past humiliation, is to do something that makes you feel proud of yourself.
    • Setting low bars and celebrating little wins to drive out shame.

    So often people know WHAT to do, but they fail to follow-through.

    Time and again they brush it off as laziness, a lack of motivation, or a lack of willpower.

    This couldn’t be further from the truth.

    The fact is laziness and apathy are feelings, emotions, caused by thoughts. Your thoughts cause your emotions. Your emotions drive your actions. Your actions create your results.

    Can you imagine how much more weight you could lose in 2023 if you knew the exact thoughts that were blocking you from losing weight?

    After years of coaching women to lose weight, I noticed that there are some VERY common, yet often unrecognized sneaky thoughts that hold them back from losing weight and gaining health.

    Once they broke this thought pattern, they were able to gain freedom from food, body comparison, apathy, and low motivation.

    You may think that losing weight in 2023 will be all about being more strict with your diet and exercise.

    But have you considered that while eating clean is great, THINKING clean is even better? Many people struggle to lose the physical weight because they fail to recognize it as a SYMPTOM of mental weight.

    You cannot lose your physical weight (for good) if you don’t first fix the thoughts that lead to the emotions that drive your eating and behaviors that control your weight.

    Trying to lose the physical weight without also losing the mental weight is like driving with one foot on the gas and the other on the break. You’ll burn yourself out and feel like you’ve gotten nowhere.

    Losing weight and getting healthy in 2023 is going to be a lot harder if you continue these 8 things you’ll learn in this episode

    111. How to Stop Negative Self Talk With Jane Tornatore PhD, LMFT

    Three of the biggest barriers to long-term weight loss I often hear are: negative self-talk that leads to self-sabotage; a lack of healthy boundaries with little time and energy to focus on yourself; and frequently putting the needs of other people above your own - at the expense of your own health. 

    Dr. Jane Tornatore has a PhD in Family Social Science and Family Therapy. As a recovering perfectionist, she knows the pain of being bogged down by old beliefs, feeling responsible for everything, and never quite measuring up to expectations. 

    Through her own ongoing inner growth work and exploration, she continues to discover the freedom and peace that come from questioning old beliefs, being gentler on herself, and living more from her heart, not expectations of others or old beliefs.

    Habits of action come from habits of thought. If you want to lose weight for good, learn how to use the law of attraction to manifest better health. Losing weight, maintaining weight loss, and getting healthy doesn't have to be hard. That is a limiting thought you’ve been telling yourself. 

    The key is to learn how to use the law of attraction to keep your focus on your desire, not the lack of your desire. This will create positive thoughts, emotions, actions, and results.
