Our Heavenly Father is proud of His children when they live and abide by His Kingdom principles. The challenge is that His Kingdom principles are often paradoxical in nature. On the surface, they seem contradictory, but when exercised we see that they lead to His Kingdom growing and advancing just as He intends.

Jesus' invitation into the Kingdom of God is an "all in" type of proposition. Though this Kingdom is good, it requires that we give our all. And for some, giving their all to something they can't see fully yet feels a bit uncertain.
Fortunately, Jesus doesn't expect us to go into this blind. He's revealed some Kingdom distinctives so we don't walk into this "sight unseen."

What does it really mean to be a Christian? What is the defining attribute that moves someone from being Jesus-affirming to a follower of Jesus? Every Sunday people fill pews and stream content online claiming to be "Christians" but are really Unsaved Christians. People who prayed a sinner's prayer were baptized, read their Bible apps, give money to the church, volunteer at the church, and maybe even teach Bible stories, but are spiritually dead. Not only that, but they miss the joy that comes only from a real, deep, and meaningful relationship with Jesus. Today we look at the one attribute required for salvation and New Life in Jesus by looking at the story of a man who thought he knew but missed it - Simon Magnus.
