Over the past few years we have had the privilege of sharing many stories on our show. Some were stories told by household names, others were about lives lived in quiet spaces. But today’s show is about a man that anyone who has followed our podcast from the beginning will be familiar with. Dr. Byron Bitar was a mentor of Pastor Nate’s when he was in undergrad. And Dr. Bitar was a witness to the world in his life and continues to be so in his death.
Today we had the honor to have Byron’s wife Gail, and their son Brandon as guest on the show. So join Tom, Nate, Gail and Brandon as they discuss Byron Bitar’s life, death and legacy.

Her journey is one that I like to think is unique, having been married twice, with one marriage ending in divorce and the second marriage, unfortunately, ending as a result of the passing of her husband.
Dr. Patrice talks about feeling as if she was a single parent during the time when her 2nd husband was sick, and her continued process of grieving while raising her now 2-year-old daughter. I encourage you to take a listen and please comment your thoughts on this particular episode!

In part one of this episode, I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Patrice Martin, a mother of 3, who shares her journey of being a single mom twice over.
We discussed her thoughts on the perception of a single mom, and some of her specific challenges in raising her now-adult sons, to now raising her 5-year-old daughter. Her journey of single parenthood is a unique one and her overall outlook of where she is in this journey is a testament to the faith that she has in God.

Episode 5 Dale's Angel
Angel Anderson is the widow of Dale.
He was an amazing driver who was well loved at home and on the Ice Roads to Canada's diamond mines north of Yellowknife NWT.
Angel talks about living life with no regrets and the legacy of Dale.
She is in the process of writing a book that will help others who have friends that have lost loved ones. Recognizing that all deal with grief differently, she brings forth great ideas on how to bring help to the suffering.
