Forgiveness doesn’t mean what they did was right nor that I am excusing the offense. Forgiveness means I will no longer remain imprisoned by the offense. That’s too much power to give to someone concerning my life. Forgiveness is for me, not my offender!

Some may say "I'm not going to forgive you because they wronged me. They don't deserve my forgiveness. You hurt me therefore you deserve to suffer. I'm not letting you off the hook." The reality is forgiveness has nothing to do with the person. Forgiveness is not for them, it's so that you are no longer held a prisoner by the wrong that was done to you. Forgiveness is so that you can be free and no longer remain a captive to the actions of someone else.

The Bible instructs us to “pray always with all prayer” (Ephesians 6:18). Other translations say, “all kinds of prayer” or “different kinds of prayer.” The Amplified Bible says, “with all [manner of] prayer.” There is more than just one kind of prayer, and depending on what you desire from God, you need to understand the importance of each one.  Today we will identify 7 types of prayer we see in the Bible and what do they actually mean.

Jesus' disciples asked Him a profound question in Luke 11: "Lord, teach us how to pray."

In light of the times we are living in, we must know how to use the greatest lifeline God has given to us as humans...Prayer🙏 It is a powerful tool that can influence government, nations, and individual circumstances!

Prayer is not for emergency use only, when we get in a pinch and need someone to bail us out. Prayer is not an “Aladdin’s Lamp” or a trip to the wishing well for our wants. Prayer is for everyday living, moment by moment. Prayer is a means of claiming God’s promises and knowing and becoming abandoned to God’s will.

Unfortunately, many today do not use this powerful lifeline and neither do they know how it works. Join me in the next two episodes as I share what is prayer, what are the various types of prayer, and how to effectively pray.
