    Welcome to series five of The Game Changers, the podcast where you’ll hear from extraordinary, trailblazing women in sport.

    Had Rose Reilly been born a boy, she would undoubtedly be celebrated as a national hero, one of Scotland’s greatest ever footballers. As it is, her amazing career and her story went untold for decades by those who should have be celebrating her incredible sporting achievements.

    Eight league titles, World Player of the Year award, four golden boots, a professional career in France and Italy a World Cup medal. It’s a fascinating story and Rose is a delightful and entertaining guest on the podcast.

    Stacey Copeland: How boxing challenges society’s view of femininity

    My guest this week is Stacey Copeland. Stacey has represented her country at an international level in two sports –  football and boxing. Following a successful football career, where she represented England, played in the FA cup final, and played overseas for six years in the US and Sweden; Stacey then went on to pursue her dreams of a career in boxing.

    During her six-year amateur boxing career, Stacey became European silver medallist and three-time national champion. She then turned professional and 2018 became the first British woman to win the Commonwealth title.

    Moya Dodd: Bringing diversity of thought & gender reform to FIFA

    My guest today is Moya Dodd, one of the most influential women in global sport. 

    Former vice-captain of the Australian women’s football team, Moya served on the board of Football Federation Australia and Asian football's governing body, before she became one of the first women to join the FIFA Council, where she took a lead role on gender reforms.

    Moya still sits on FIFA committees along with the IOC Athlete’s Entourage Commission. She is Honorary President of Women in Sports Law, Chair of Common Goal and serves on the board of Barefoot to Boots.
