    #2 - Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)

They dive deep into what did and didn’t work, what was problematic, and what this means for DC and Warner Brothers moving forward - Don’t Miss This Review!

    FOF #2927 - WTF Happened to Wonder Woman's WW84?

    FOF #2927 - WTF Happened to Wonder Woman's WW84?
Patti Jenkins’ highly anticipated sequel to Wonder Woman promised that WW84 would be a tribute to the campy 1970s TV series, but instead we got a movie like the year 2020, full of confusion, chaos and general contempt for humanity.

Wonder Woman 84 catches up with Princess Di 70 years after her boyfriend Steve sacrificed himself. She’s now working at the Smithsonian with Geologist, Gemologist, Lithologist and Part time Crypto-zoologist single white female Barbra Miverva who discovers a magic brown crystal that grants your heart’s desires.

Wonder Woman smokes that crystal to wish her dead lover Steve Trevor back to life and Barbra wishes for the ability to walk around in purrrfect high heel shoes.

And there's a Donald Trump/Tony Robbins villain who wishes to dominate the world.

In press interviews, Patti Jenkins says she was paid 7 times less than other directors for the same type of move and that the film suffered because she wasn’t given enough time to make it.

Today comedian and curmudgeon Brian Sweeney joins us to look at director Patti Jenkins’ catastrophic sequel to Wonder Woman, WW84 and to answer very serious questions-

➤ Why did this film take place in 1984 yet use no music from the 80s?

➤ What does Wonder Woman not understand about consent?

➤ Why do people who make wishes in movies never know about the terrible consequences of wishes?

➤ What’s the difference between Bigfoot and Sasquatch?

➤ What does Cheetah use for kitty litter?

I Beg Your Pardon? (season over)
Well Ladies and Gentlemen, it's officially over. The four year reality show known as Covfefe is done. And boy what a ride it's been. It feels like we've defeated Thanos. In this episode, we do a bit of reflection of these past four years. We talk about how much we've grown in this political space. And with the little normalcy we have again, we ask, "where do we go from here?" Enjoy!

Continuing with our mutation theme, this week Zea bring us to the golden age of horror with her pick: "THEM!" where monstrous, irradiated mutant ants terrorize unsuspecting communities. These gargantuan ants pose an immediate threat to humanity, as a local law enforcement agent teams up with the FBI, scientists and the army on a search and destroy mission to annihilate the insects before they multiply and cannot be stopped.

Season 02, Episode 01: ‘Wonder Woman 1984’: A Bland and Uninspiring Movie

Season 02, Episode 01: ‘Wonder Woman 1984’: A Bland and Uninspiring Movie

To kick off the new year, we decided to watch a new movie, ‘Wonder Woman 1984.’ Though this was shown in theaters, it also hit HBO Max upon its release—which could be the start of an interesting new trend. The only problem is, it was incredibly bland. That the movie occurs in 1984 seems hardly connected to the plot, there is too much going on at once, and for an action movie, there’s not a whole lot of action. What did we dislike about it? Why was there so little action? What does the movie say about unintended consequences? Join Sean, Paul, and Jen as they discuss all this and more on this week’s episode of Out of Frame: Behind the Scenes.

#58: Deep Fried Elvis Sandwiches From The Post Apocalyptic Wasteland

#58: Deep Fried Elvis Sandwiches From The Post Apocalyptic Wasteland
It's another episode of the podcast where, this week, Ed finally reviews the horny second half of Bridgerton and gives his two cents on the sequel to Wonder Woman which is set in 1984. Is this a clever reference to George Orwell? No. There's nothing clever about this movie. Ed also talks about a treasure trove of old Uncut magazines he has recently come into possession of and reads from a article concerning Elvis and his love of horribly bad for you foodstuffs. Ed also reveals his 'love' of Elvis and talks about the generational gap between himself and his future Father in Law when it comes to the medium of video games and Turkish dramas. Enjoy.
