Cool Story Guys S02E15: Body of Desire

Who has the hot looks and perfect life and how do we get into those bodies instead of our crummy ones? Ethan wants to be the tallest guy in the neighborhood and Jeff knows he'll never cut it as Beyoncé. Other topics include whether or not we should care about "good storytelling" over fun, getting creative with suboptimal rolls, and having to level up our story challenges as we level up our characters.

Peter Knights — When the Buying Stops, the Killing Can Too

Peter Knights — When the Buying Stops, the Killing Can Too

Peter Knights is one of the biggest names in wildlife conservation and advocacy. As founder and president of WildAid, he may be the most influential "difference maker" of our time. In Part One of Laurie Hood's two part interview, Peter describes how he began his life's work as a wildlife trafficking investigator and ultimately founded WildAid, the global leader in the concept of demand reduction—which vigorously combats the illegal wildlife trade, a multi-billion-dollar global industry largely driven by consumer demand.

Peter has attracted A-list celebrities—including Danai Gurira, Yao Ming, High Royal Highness Prince William, Lupita Nyong'o, David Beckham, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jackie Chan, Sir Richard Branson, and Maggie Q—and raised millions of dollars of free advertising to lower the demand for animal products by asking worldwide audiences to embrace the message: "When the buying stops, the killing can too."

Our combined work depends upon your donations and support to keep pushing forward and making real change in animals' lives. We encourage you to learn more about the "differences" our guests are bringing to the foreground for animals of all kinds. Links below.

Wafer was playing basketball ever since he can remember. He was a 2003 McDonald's All-American before helping jumpstart the Florida State basketball program. He went on to have a successful NBA and overseas career that included averaging over 30 Points Per Game in China. Wafer shares great stories about his unique high school experience, McDonald's All-American experience, LeBron James, Leonard Hamilton, Kobe Bryant, Ray Allen, Yao Ming, experience overseas, his desire to spread positivity in this world and MUCH more.

BIG thanks to Wafer for taking the time to hang out with us today. He was a great talent and he is very open with us that there were some bumps and mistakes made along the way in his journey but his desire to help and educate the youth coming up is something we really appreciate and admire. If there is anyone that we would bet on to be the next important role model to change the life of a young aspiring athlete, we without a doubt know that man is Von Wafer.

    Thank you Von Wafer!
