Ep 95 | Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: "Day of the Dumpster"
There are giant dog men, robots, dinosaurs, guns, bright flashy colors, and everything else you could want if you forgot to take your Ritalin for the day. Van was the sole host to watch the show when he was a child, so he naturally takes the reigns and guides Spencer and Brian through the loud, colorful waters of the once great franchise
And today they go back to where it all began and cover the pilot episode of the show which features not only the debut of the nefarious Rita Repulsa, but also a whole hell of a lot of guitar shredding. Oh and also Bulk and Skull. I guess all of this just means that you should probably skip this episode... NOT!
Finally! - 02 - Zardoz (1974)
I have seen the Future, and it doesn't work.

Zardoz
John Boorman's gonzo 1974 sci-fi parable, Zardoz, may not be the first film that comes to mind when recalling the late Sean Connery, but maybe that's the point.
Come, FMBuffs, meditate with us on the 2nd level as we honour Connery by watching him emerge from Bond stardom into a brave new world filled with flying stone heads, green bread and racy, impractical wardrobe choices.
next week: Citizen Kane
Zardoz
The Alchemist jump in a stone head to the funny farm in Zardoz.
Key Elements: Red Speedo, iRing, Crystal Ball

In this Episode:
Our Heroes cover Sean Connery's giant red diaper and hairy chesticles this week in Zardoz. This one's a doozy... Such a weird psychedelic 70's flick... Holy hell. Turns out the gang don't agree on the merits of this gem, so tune in to hear the dirt.

WR29, Red Diapers & Thigh-High Leather Boots in John Boorman's "Zardoz" (1974)
In honor of the retrospective of John Boorman's work at the Film Forum (Feb 11th-17th) we recorded our second commentary episode while watching Boorman's truly strange and offbeat post-apocalyptic adventure film "Zardoz" (1974). Starring Sean Connery and Charlotte Rampling in a film often described as the best bad movie ever made, we try and determine for ourselves if this is a misunderstood classic deserving of rediscovery.

TPCS: The Room
[Sorry about the audio issues on this one.]
Evan and geekCasual's Mark Whitney do their best to discuss Tommy Wiseau's eccentric melodrama The Room. Eventually they give up and read listener e-mails about some of the (other) worst movies ever made.
