    en-usMay 10, 2024

    Podcast Summary

    • Overcoming jealousy and distractions to create something valuableDedicate time and effort to your project, push through challenges, and stay focused for impressive results. Mental toughness and resilience are crucial in the face of adversity.

Creating something valuable, whether it's a podcast, a book, or anything else, requires dedication and focus. As Derek Sivers pointed out, it's easy to feel jealous or discouraged when we see others succeeding in areas we'd like to explore. But instead of giving in to those feelings, we should use them as motivation to put in the time and effort required to make our own projects a reality. This means setting aside distractions, making it a top priority, and pushing through the challenges that come with the creative process. It may not be easy, but the results can be truly impressive. Additionally, the discussion highlighted the importance of mental toughness and resilience in the face of adversity. The listener's story about her father's violent behavior and her family's struggle to cope with his mental health issues and cancer diagnosis was a sobering reminder of the challenges that life can throw our way. But despite the difficulties, the family continued to persevere, demonstrating the power of determination and the importance of staying focused on what truly matters.

    • Dealing with mentally ill family member's threats of violenceReport threats to authorities, explore options like hiring a security guard, restraining order, and contacting adult protective services to protect vulnerable individuals.

Dealing with a mentally ill family member who has made threats of violence can be a complex and frustrating situation. The police may not always take such threats seriously or intervene, leaving the family feeling helpless and concerned for their safety. It's important to report threats to the authorities and take steps to protect vulnerable individuals, but the legal system may not always provide a quick or effective solution. In this situation, the family is worried about the safety of their father and has concerns about the potential release of the grandson from the mental hospital. They are exploring options such as hiring a security guard, getting a restraining order, and contacting adult protective services. Ultimately, it's a challenging situation that requires patience, persistence, and a willingness to advocate for the safety and well-being of those at risk.

    • Dealing with violent individuals with schizophreniaImmediate and persistent action is necessary when dealing with violent individuals with schizophrenia, involving the police, recording threats, and utilizing local authorities. Hiring a security guard and removing the individual from the home may be options, but criteria must be met.

Dealing with a violent and dangerous individual, even if they have schizophrenia, requires immediate and persistent action to ensure safety. The vast majority of people with schizophrenia are not violent, but when they are, they pose a danger primarily to themselves. However, in the case of Gabe's father's step-grandson, he falls into the dangerous camp. Keep calling the police, share recorded threats, and be persistent. Utilize any connections to local authorities. Hiring a security guard is an option, but finding one with the necessary training may be challenging. Removing the individual from the home could be difficult due to family ties and the legal criteria for removal. The individual's threats must be imminent and the person must be a threat to themselves or others, or gravely disabled. The police response may depend on the perceived immediacy of the threat.

    • When mental health concerns put others at risk, reaching out for help is crucial but may not provide a long-term solution. While involving authorities and providing evidence can expedite intervention, there's no guarantee of a long-term solution for someone's mental health crisis putting others at risk.

If you suspect someone's safety is at risk due to their mental health, contacting local mental health agencies and Adult Protective Services (APS) is crucial. However, these processes can move slowly, and there's no guarantee of a long-term solution. An involuntary psychiatric hold may only last for 72 hours, and the individual might be released even if they're not stable or a threat to others. Medication can help, but there's no guarantee the person will continue taking it. The department of mental health might advocate for the person to stay in their current living situation rather than taking up a hospital bed. Gathering and providing incident reports, including threats and actual harm, to APS and the police can expedite their intervention. The involvement of the police and APS may increase if there's a history of threats and clear evidence of harm. It's essential to understand that family members have a responsibility to help, but their involvement can vary.

    • Exploring alternative resources for mental health supportWhen police intervention isn't an option, families can seek out local laws, mobile crisis units, mental health units, or consider moving their loved one to a safer location for mental health support. Therapy can also be beneficial for managing stress and improving overall well-being.

When dealing with mental health issues, the police may not always intervene, and it's crucial to explore other resources and options. In this situation, the family is learning that the system can be flawed and limited, and they must get creative to ensure the safety of their loved one. They are advised to look into local laws and resources, such as mobile crisis units or mental health units, and consider moving their father to a safer location. Therapy, as a personal growth tool, can also provide strategies to manage stress and improve overall well-being. It's essential to address concerns early on and not wait for a tragic event to occur. Remember, everyone deserves safety and access to the help they need.

    • Accessing mental health support through online platforms and building a professional presence on LinkedInUtilize online mental health resources like BetterHelp and QuiltMind to address past traumas and improve mental health. Build a strong LinkedIn presence with authentic content to connect with your audience and advance professionally.

There are easier and more convenient ways to access mental health support, such as through online platforms like BetterHelp. Meanwhile, on LinkedIn, many business professionals have large followings but rarely engage, missing out on potential opportunities. QuiltMind offers a solution by helping create and post authentic content, making it easier for executives to build their presence and connect with their audience. The listener's story serves as a reminder of the importance of addressing past traumas and seeking help when needed. By embracing resources like BetterHelp and QuiltMind, individuals can focus on improving their mental health and professional growth.

    • Alternative Routes to College EducationWithout a high school diploma or GED, individuals can still pursue college education by earning a GED, attending colleges that don't require transcripts, or earning college credits while preparing for the GED test. However, it's crucial to be cautious and check accreditation to avoid for-profit schools.

Despite not having access to traditional high school transcripts, there are alternative routes to obtaining a college education. The first option is to earn a GED certificate, which can be used to apply to colleges. The second option is to look for colleges that don't require a high school diploma or GED. However, it's important to be cautious of for-profit schools and to check the school's accreditation. In California, community colleges allow attendance at 18 years or older without a high school diploma, but some majors may require a GED. Earning college credit while preparing for the GED test is another possibility, although it may limit the courses one can take initially. Ultimately, while the situation may be frustrating, there are ways to pursue higher education despite missing traditional transcripts.

    • Exploring Trade Schools as an Alternative SolutionConsidering trade schools for practical skills, career development, and hands-on learning, which can take less than a year and offer good salaries. Speak with school administrators for enrollment assistance despite missing documents.

While dealing with the lack of transcripts or a diploma, exploring trade schools could be a promising solution. Trade schools focus on practical skills, career development, and hands-on learning, and often only take a year or less to complete. Many trades offer good salaries, and the demand for skilled workers is high. Additionally, speaking with school administrators or advisors can help navigate the enrollment process despite missing documents. It's essential to consider all options carefully, including suing for damages or seeking alternative educational paths, such as those that accept life experience. Ultimately, focusing on restarting your education and building your future is a more productive use of energy than dwelling on past grievances.

    • Pursuing Education and Building a Fulfilling LifeIt's never too late to learn and build a successful life, with resources like free online courses from tech companies and support from mentors. Focus on personal growth and cut ties with abusive individuals.

No matter what background or circumstances one comes from, it's never too late to pursue education and build a fulfilling life. The speakers discussed the availability of free online courses from tech giants like Google and Microsoft, and shared stories of homeschooled ex-evangelicals who have achieved great success. They also emphasized the importance of seeking advice and support from those who have gone through similar experiences. Additionally, they advised against engaging with abusive individuals, such as a difficult manager, and instead focusing on personal growth and cutting ties if necessary. Overall, the message was one of resilience and determination, encouraging listeners to overcome adversity and create a better future for themselves.

    • Protecting Yourself from Toxic Former ManagersRecognize unacceptable behavior, set boundaries, and prioritize your own well-being in dealing with toxic former managers.

It's important to prioritize your own well-being and distance yourself from toxic relationships, even if it's with a former manager. The text describes a situation where an employee, despite having some positive interactions with their manager, was subjected to petty behavior and eventually a volatile outburst that led to his termination. The employee is now considering how to end their contact with the manager, who continues to reach out and make excuses for his actions. While it's understandable to feel empathy and want to be kind, it's crucial to recognize that this person's behavior was not acceptable, and it's okay to set boundaries to protect yourself. It's also important to remember that you don't owe anyone an explanation for wanting to limit your contact with them, especially if their behavior has been harmful in the past.

    • Dealing with Toxic Individuals: Prioritize Self-Care and End the RelationshipEffectively handling toxic individuals involves prioritizing self-care, ending the relationship, addressing toxic behavior at work, practicing empathy with caution, and safeguarding personal information online using tools like DeleteMe.

When dealing with toxic individuals, prioritizing the end of the relationship and maintaining your own well-being is crucial. In the conversation, it was suggested that "ghosting" or gradually phasing out communication could be an effective approach. Additionally, if you encounter such behavior from a superior at work, it's important to address it directly. The conversation also touched upon the importance of empathy but warned against over-accommodation and caretaking. Furthermore, the discussion highlighted the importance of safeguarding personal information online. DeleteMe was mentioned as a solution for removing unwanted data and maintaining privacy. Lastly, Going West, a true crime podcast, was recommended for those interested in lighthearted and empathetic true crime stories.

    • Belief in external validation harms relationshipsExternal beliefs shouldn't dictate relationship quality, focus on understanding feelings and improving communication instead.

Relying on external validation or superstitions to justify not working on relationships can be detrimental. In the shared story, a woman's mother used a fortune teller's prediction as an excuse not to invest time and effort into their relationship. However, this belief only reinforces the negative pattern and ignores the potential for change. It's essential to recognize that relationships require effort and communication from both parties. Additionally, it's crucial not to let external factors dictate the quality of our relationships. Instead, we should focus on understanding our own feelings and taking steps to improve our connections with loved ones.

    • Navigating Complex Family DynamicsRecognize the importance of setting boundaries and prioritizing healthy relationships, even if it means cutting ties with toxic family members.

Family dynamics can be complex and influenced by various factors, including past experiences and cultural norms. Our discussion revolved around a woman who faced challenges in her relationship with her mother due to her husband being treated unfairly. This situation was further complicated by cultural expectations and the woman's own history of being treated poorly by her mother. Despite the difficulties, the woman stood up for herself and her husband, ultimately prioritizing her own and her son's well-being over appeasing her mother. The situation serves as a reminder that sometimes, it's necessary to set boundaries and prioritize healthy relationships, even if it means cutting ties with toxic family members. It's essential to recognize that everyone's experiences and perspectives are unique, and what works for one family may not work for another.

    • Family favoritism and strained relationshipsMaintain integrity, stand up for self and family, and remember others bear responsibility for their actions.

The dynamics of a family, especially when it comes to favoritism and generational patterns, can lead to complex and troubled relationships. The speaker's experience of being treated unfairly by her mother, possibly due to favoritism towards her older brother, has led to a strained relationship. The mother's inability to listen and empathize, combined with her narcissistic behavior, has resulted in her punishing not only the speaker but also her grandson. It's important for the speaker to maintain her integrity and stand up for herself and her family, even if it means sacrificing the relationship with her mother. The speaker did not commit the worst sin possible by standing up for herself and her husband, and it's crucial to remember that her mother bears a significant responsibility for the current situation.

    • Limiting contact with a toxic relativeTo protect family well-being, limiting contact with a disruptive relative may be necessary. Share details about the situation with children, ensuring they understand it's not their fault, and maintain civil relationships if possible.

While it's important to acknowledge the feelings of all parties involved in a conflict, protecting the overall well-being of the family may require limiting contact with a toxic relative. In this situation, the speaker suggests that the woman may need to accept that her mother will not be a significant presence in their lives due to her rigid and disruptive behavior. The speaker emphasizes the importance of being thoughtful about how to explain this situation to their son, ensuring he understands it's not his fault, and maintaining a civil relationship if possible. The woman is encouraged to share more details about her mother as her son grows older, but for now, the focus should be on providing him with love and support.

    • Embracing Challenges and Finding StrengthsUnderstand boundaries, prioritize self-care, advocate for accommodations, and embrace unique abilities to overcome challenges and achieve goals.

No matter the challenges we face in life, whether it's dealing with difficult relationships or learning disabilities, we have the power to understand our boundaries, prioritize self-care, and achieve our goals. The speaker shared her experiences of standing up to her mom and overcoming dyslexia to earn multiple degrees. She emphasized the importance of getting a diagnosis, advocating for accommodations, and being honest about limitations. Despite the struggles, she found strengths and success, encouraging others to embrace their unique abilities and not be ashamed of their differences.

    • Overcoming Challenges with DyslexiaDespite the challenges of dyslexia, having the right mindset, focusing on strengths, and patience can help individuals with dyslexia achieve their goals, as shown by successful people like Richard Branson, Albert Einstein, Anderson Cooper, and Steven Spielberg.

Having a learning disability like dyslexia can present challenges, but it doesn't have to limit one's potential for success. The speaker, who has been studying Chinese for over a decade and has dyslexia, shares how this challenge has actually helped her in other areas, such as focusing on her strengths and becoming more resilient. She encourages those with dyslexia to embrace their unique abilities and not let their disability define them. Despite the challenges of dyslexia, especially in an academic environment where reading and writing are essential, many successful people with dyslexia have achieved great things. Examples include Richard Branson, Albert Einstein, Anderson Cooper, and Steven Spielberg. These individuals have shown that dyslexia does not prevent one from obtaining advanced degrees or having a successful career. It's important for those with dyslexia to give themselves grace and patience, allowing them to learn at their own pace and not feel the pressure to be perfect. By doing so, they can overcome the obstacles and achieve their goals, just like the speaker did by finishing her degrees. Overall, the key takeaway is that having a learning disability like dyslexia can present challenges, but it doesn't have to limit one's potential for success. With the right mindset, focus on strengths, and patience, those with dyslexia can achieve anything they set their minds to.

    • Patience and Embracing Unique AbilitiesBe patient with yourself and others, focus on strengths, build relationships, and embrace your journey for personal and professional growth.

It's important to be patient with ourselves and others, especially when dealing with challenges or disabilities. Dr. Hazen's advice encourages embracing our unique abilities and focusing on our strengths rather than striving for unrealistic perfection. This mindset not only applies to individuals with disabilities but is also beneficial for everyone. Our deficiencies can often lead to hidden superpowers. Building relationships and networking are crucial in personal and professional growth. Remember, the best things in life and business come from the connections we make. Take the time to build relationships before you need them, and don't hesitate to seek knowledge and support. Embrace your journey and the unique strengths it brings.

    • The importance of sufficient sleep for health and well-beingInsufficient sleep impacts health, education, and safety, with delayed school start times and getting less than 5 hours for adults increasing risks.

Sleep is not a luxury, but a non-negotiable biological necessity. The lack of sufficient sleep is having a catastrophic impact on our health, wellness, education, and safety. Delayed school start times have been shown to improve academic performance, decrease behavioral problems, and even increase life expectancy. For adults, getting less than 5 hours of sleep increases the risk of death. Sleep plays a crucial role in processing information and solving problems, making it essential to get enough rest for optimal functioning. For more insights on sleep, listen to episode 126 of The Jordan Harbinger Show with sleep expert Dr. Matthew Walker.

993: Johann Hari | The Skinny on 'Magic Pill' Weight-Loss Drugs

Are new weight loss drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy "magic" pills that can put an end to the obesity epidemic? Johann Hari is here to give us the skinny!

What We Discuss with Johann Hari:

    • Processed and ultra-processed foods are a major driver of the obesity epidemic, as they undermine the body's natural ability to feel full and satisfied after eating. Moving from fresh, whole foods to mostly processed foods is strongly linked to the dramatic rise in obesity rates.
    • Obesity is a complex issue with biological, psychological, and social causes. Factors like genetics, emotional eating, trauma, and the food environment all play a role. Stigmatizing or shaming people for their weight is cruel and counterproductive.
    • New weight loss drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy work by artificially boosting satiety hormones like GLP-1, helping people feel full faster and eat less. They are showing impressive weight loss results, but also come with potential risks and side effects that are not yet fully understood, especially in the long-term.
    • While these new drugs may help many people, they are not a magic solution. They don't address the underlying drivers of the obesity crisis in the food system and environment. To make a real difference, we need broader changes to make healthy eating the easy, default option.
    • The good news is, each of us can take positive steps today to improve our health, no matter our current weight. Focus on adding more whole, minimally processed foods to your diet, and find physical activities you truly enjoy. Prioritize getting good sleep, managing stress, and building a strong social support network. Small, sustainable lifestyle changes can make a big difference over time. Be patient and kind with yourself in the process. You have the power to transform your health, one choice at a time.
    • And much more...

    992: Royals | Skeptical Sunday

    992: Royals | Skeptical Sunday

What's the point of the publicly funded British Royal family in the modern world? Andrew Gold puts the monarchy under a microscope on this Skeptical Sunday!

    On This Week's Skeptical Sunday:

    • The British monarchy is a centuries-old institution that has had a significant impact on the UK's culture, politics, and history. While the monarch's role is largely ceremonial, the royal family still holds influence and plays a significant part in British society.
    • The British Royal Family receives public funding through the Sovereign Grant, which is calculated as a percentage of the profits made by the Crown Estate. The Sovereign Grant covers official expenses, while the monarch also has personal income from private estates.
    • The monarchy faces challenges in maintaining its relevance in an increasingly democratic and progressive world. The royal family must balance tradition with adapting to changing societal values and expectations.
    • The popularity of individual members of the royal family, such as Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince Harry, can significantly impact public perception of the monarchy as a whole.
    • Despite the controversies and challenges surrounding the British monarchy, it remains an integral part of the nation's identity and continues to captivate people worldwide. By focusing on their roles as symbols of unity, continuity, and tradition, while also embracing positive change and engaging in meaningful charitable work, the royal family can maintain its relevance and contribute to the well-being of the British people and the global community.

990: Jonathan Haidt | How Gen Z Became the Anxious Generation

990: Jonathan Haidt | How Gen Z Became the Anxious Generation

Jonathan Haidt is here to talk about his latest book, The Anxious Generation: How the Great Rewiring of Childhood Is Causing an Epidemic of Mental Illness.

What We Discuss with Jonathan Haidt:

    • Social media and smartphones have drastically altered childhood since the early 2010s, leading to increased rates of anxiety, depression, self-harm, and suicide among teens, especially girls.
    • Virtual interactions on social media are disembodied, shallow, and can spread mental health issues among susceptible teens. Prestige biased learning causes teens to emulate influencers, even those promoting unhealthy behaviors. Smartphones and social media also enable sexual predators to easily target children online.
    • Overprotection in the real world and underprotection online are both mistakes that need to be reversed. Parents have allowed kids too much unsupervised screen time while restricting their independence and free play in the physical world out of exaggerated fears.
    • Schools and parents need to set clear boundaries around technology use. No smartphones before high school, no social media until age 16, and phone-free schools from bell to bell are key norms to establish. The longer parents delay introducing these technologies, the better.
    • Although the situation is serious, positive change is possible when parents, educators, and lawmakers work together. Parents can start by giving kids more independence and free play time offline, schools can go phone-free, and governments can pass laws to make online spaces safer for kids. With collective action, we can restore a healthier childhood for the next generation. Small steps like "Free Play Fridays" for neighborhood kids can make a difference right away. By coming together to solve this, we can ensure today's youth have the space to develop into competent, well-adjusted adults.
    • And much more...

Ex-federal agent Robert Mazur shares his experiences working undercover to infiltrate drug cartels, offering insights into the challenges involved. Pt 2/2. [Pt 1 can be found here!]

What We Discuss with Robert Mazur:

    • How Robert, working undercover for US Customs and the DEA, posed as a money launderer to infiltrate Pablo Escobar's Medellin cartel and other criminal organizations.
    • Money laundering enables cartels to produce their most lethal product: corruption. Corrupt officials and governments facilitate drug trafficking operations.
    • Money laundering methods are highly sophisticated, involving legitimate businesses, secret codes, and multi-national operations to evade detection.
    • Banks and the global financial system need to change to combat money laundering effectively, with severe penalties for those involved in facilitating the flow of illicit funds.
    • Despite the risks and close calls, Robert continued his undercover work to gather intelligence and evidence against drug cartels until it became clear that the price his family was paying was not worth continuing.

987: Robert Mazur | How Money Laundering Works Part One

Ex-federal agent Robert Mazur shares his experiences working undercover to infiltrate drug cartels, offering insights into the challenges involved. Pt 1/2.

What We Discuss with Robert Mazur:

    • How Robert, working undercover for US Customs and the DEA, posed as a money launderer to infiltrate Pablo Escobar's Medellin cartel and other criminal organizations.
    • The extensive planning that goes into an undercover operation, including developing a detailed backstory, establishing fake businesses, and coordinating with informants and other agents.
    • How Robert built rapport with targets by researching their interests, using active listening, and offering them gifts to gain their trust.
    • Undercover agents must be laser-focused on their targets and avoid thinking about their personal lives, as any slip-up could compromise the operation and endanger their safety.
    • During trials, these agents must be prepared for defense attorneys' tactics, such as role reversal, and maintain their composure to avoid compromising the case or their credibility in front of the jury.

    986: Porn | Skeptical Sunday

    986: Porn | Skeptical Sunday

Has technology weaponized pornography into a public health crisis? Michael Regilio takes us through modern porn's ins and outs on this Skeptical Sunday!

    On This Week's Skeptical Sunday:

    • High-speed internet porn is a recent phenomenon that provides an intense, novel experience unlike traditional pornography, hacking into our brain's evolutionary desires for new mates and triggering dopamine responses similar to drug addiction.
    • Pornography use, especially among adolescents and young adults who grew up with easy access to internet porn, has been linked to erosion of gray matter in the brain's prefrontal cortex, which controls impulse control and decision-making.
    • Porn use has been associated with sexual disorders like erectile dysfunction in young men, as well as difficulties forming emotional bonds and intimacy in relationships.
    • While some psychologists dispute the existence of "porn addiction," neuroscientific evidence shows porn use can lead to compulsive behaviors and brain changes resembling substance addictions.
    • While some political efforts have been made to declare porn a public health crisis, there is little policy action based on scientific evidence to provide resources for treatment and awareness.

984: Susan Casey | Unraveling Mysteries in the Ocean's Darkest Depths

984: Susan Casey | Unraveling Mysteries in the Ocean's Darkest Depths

What challenges can the ocean help us meet, and what must we do to safeguard its treasures? The Underworld author Susan Casey dives deep for answers here!

What We Discuss with Susan Casey:

    • The ocean plays a crucial role in regulating the Earth's climate and serves as the largest carbon sink on the planet, making its preservation essential for mitigating climate change.
    • The ocean is home to a fascinating array of creatures that have adapted to extreme conditions, such as iron-breathing microbes, glass sponges, and jellyfish that can reverse their life cycle.
    • Pollution, including plastics, chemical weapons, and nuclear waste, has severely impacted the ocean ecosystem, with some deep-sea creatures found to have plastic particles embedded in their organs.
    • There are an estimated three million shipwrecks on the ocean floor, preserving valuable historical artifacts and information — such as the Antikythera mechanism, an ancient Greek analog computer.
    • Exploring the ocean can lead to groundbreaking discoveries in medicine, Earth's history, and climate, providing valuable insights for addressing humanity's challenges — provided we safeguard this treasury of knowledge for current and future generations.
    • And much more...

256: Malcolm Gladwell | What We Should Know about Talking to Strangers

256: Malcolm Gladwell | What We Should Know about Talking to Strangers

Malcolm Gladwell (@gladwell) has written bestsellers that are probably on your shelf right now, including The Tipping Point, Blink, Outliers, and What the Dog Saw. His latest book is Talking to Strangers: What We Should Know about the People We Don't Know.

What We Discuss with Malcolm Gladwell:

    • Why, if we don't know how to talk to strangers, we invite conflict and misunderstanding in ways that have a profound effect on our lives and our world.
    • Why the information we gather from face-to-face human interaction isn't as uniquely valuable as we think it is.
    • Why television makes us worse at reading other people.
    • Why we think we can tell if someone is lying, guilty, or deceptive -- and why we're almost always wrong.
    • What determines the direction of Malcolm's projects, and how he researches and organizes the massive amount of information that goes into them.

365: Benjamin Hardy | How to Break Free from Self-Limiting Beliefs

365: Benjamin Hardy | How to Break Free from Self-Limiting Beliefs

Benjamin Hardy (@BenjaminPHardy) is an organizational psychologist and author of Willpower Doesn't Work: Discover the Hidden Keys to Success and Personality Isn't Permanent: Break Free from Self-Limiting Beliefs and Rewrite Your Story.

What We Discuss with Benjamin Hardy:

    • Why treating the results of a "scientific" personality test like Myers & Briggs or Enneagram as gospel is akin to trusting horoscopes to safely guide your life decisions -- inaccurate and potentially dangerous.
    • Hear the story about how Benjamin and his wife almost didn't get married because a personality test indicated they weren't an ideal match.
    • What looking back at the person you were 10 or 20 years ago should reveal about personality as an unfixed, malleable quality.
    • Why categorizing yourself or accepting labels leads to a tunnel vision of mindlessness that tends to accentuate the negative qualities you believe yourself to have.
    • You're always a work in progress -- you're never "finished." The person you'll be in 10 years may well be as different as you are from the person you were 10 years ago. So who do you want the future you to be?
    • And much more...
