    Sustainable Cities

Today, more than half the population of the world lives in cities and experts believe that more than two-thirds of the population will be living in cities by 2050. This rapid population flow creates countless possibilities. But it also creates pressure on Urban planning, transport systems, water, sanitation, waste management, and food production to name a few. Creating sustainable, manageable human spaces in the world’s ever-expanding cities is a challenge facing governments across the globe and no one better understands it than Architects and Urban planners. Their vision and guidance can help cities prepare for the challenges of the coming decades. Today, we are going to talk about some places in the world ahead of the curve. These cities are not perfect in every ‘sustainable’ sense. But their approach towards ‘development’ is inspiring for other countries in the world.
