Mint Mobile, for instance, used a reverse auctioneer to lower their prices to just $15 a month for new customers. Meanwhile, Burrow Furniture continues to prioritize customer needs by offering easy assembly, new colors, and fast free shipping. Despite the cold weather and the chaos in the park, the hosts of "Shag Marginoid" reminded us to find joy in the little things and make the most of the situation. And in the spirit of making the most of things, this week's sponsor encourages everyone to enjoy the park but go home if it's too crowded. So whether it's finding affordable wireless plans or enjoying the outdoors, there are always ways to adapt and find happiness in the moment.

    • Comparing ourselves to others during EasterEaster can bring up feelings of jealousy and guilt, especially on social media. Focus on what brings joy and avoid unnecessary comparison.

The Easter holiday can bring up feelings of jealousy and guilt for some people, especially when comparing themselves to others on social media. During a conversation on their podcast, the speakers shared their experiences of feeling left out and overwhelmed by the expectations and traditions associated with Easter. They also discussed how the pandemic has made it difficult to avoid the constant stream of Easter content on social media, leading to feelings of jealousy and guilt for not being able to create the perfect Easter experience for their families. However, they also acknowledged that everyone has had a tough year and encouraged listeners to make the most of the holiday if they choose to, even if it means breaking tradition or creating new ones. Ultimately, the speakers emphasized the importance of focusing on what brings joy and avoiding unnecessary guilt or comparison.

    • Embrace imperfection during Easter celebrationsDon't stress about creating a perfect Instagram image, real life and online life don't always align, and it's okay to be ourselves.

Easter and creating a perfect Instagram image should not be sources of stress or worry for parents. It's okay if things don't look perfect behind the scenes, and it's possible to celebrate the holiday without breaking the bank. Additionally, the pressure to present a flawless online persona can be unrealistic and unattainable. The speaker shared her experience of receiving an unusual offer on Instagram to turn breast milk into jewelry, highlighting the absurdity of social media and the importance of not taking it too seriously. Ultimately, it's essential to remember that real life and online life don't always align, and it's okay to be ourselves, even if it means wearing a favorite dressing gown in a beautiful new home.

    • Exploring the Possibility of Creating Jewelry from Bodily FluidsBreast milk, spunk, and period blood can be used to create jewelry by filling molds, adding a solidifying agent, and allowing it to harden. The resulting jewelry can take various forms and colors depending on the fluid used.

The discussion explored the possibility of creating jewelry from various bodily fluids, including breast milk. The process involves filling a mold with the substance, adding a solidifying agent, and allowing it to harden. The resulting jewelry can take various forms and colors, depending on the fluid used. The conversation also touched upon the idea of using other bodily fluids, such as spunk or period blood, for the same purpose. The discussion got quite playful and absurd at times, with suggestions of creating a full kitchen or even a dildo from breast milk. Despite the humor, the idea gained traction, with plans to contact the company that provides the molds and explore the potential of this new industry.

    • A woman's unusual experience of producing breast milk since childhoodDespite the embarrassment and challenges, a woman shares her experience of producing breast milk since childhood and the societal stigma surrounding it. The conversation also touches upon the idea of giving breast milk as a gift and the strong reactions it can elicit.

The discussion revolves around the unusual experiences of a woman who has been producing breast milk since a young age, and the embarrassment and challenges she faced due to this condition during her childhood. The conversation also touches upon the idea of giving breast milk as a gift, which is considered horrific and disgusting. Additionally, there are references to comedy, tours, and swearing. The woman expresses her excitement for upcoming comedy trials and tours, but also her frustration with being interrupted during conversations. Overall, the conversation is filled with surprises and pullback reveals, and involves a lot of swearing due to the frustration and excitement expressed by the participants.

    • Effective communication and organization in a living situationClear communication and organization are essential for preventing misunderstandings and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently. Taking responsibility for one's actions and providing clear instructions can help maintain a harmonious living situation.

Effective communication and organization are crucial for maintaining a harmonious living situation. In the conversation, it became clear that there were issues with nosiness, responsibility, and organization. The speaker admitted to eavesdropping on a conversation and then failing to follow through on a shopping list, causing confusion and frustration for both parties. The other person expressed their annoyance with the lack of a clear and organized shopping list, leading to unnecessary purchases and wasted time. Effective communication is necessary to prevent misunderstandings and ensure that tasks are completed efficiently. In this case, the speaker could have interrupted and asked for clarification when they realized they had misunderstood the situation. Similarly, the other person could have provided a clear and organized shopping list to avoid confusion. Organization is also essential for maintaining a smooth household. The speaker acknowledged that they had not yet unpacked and organized the kitchen, leading to confusion about where items were located. By taking responsibility for organizing their own space and providing clear instructions, both parties could have avoided the frustration and wasted time. In summary, clear communication and organization are key to maintaining a harmonious living situation. By being mindful of our actions and taking responsibility for our own tasks, we can prevent misunderstandings and ensure that everyone's needs are met efficiently.

    • Understanding Media Preferences: A Personal JourneyPersonal experiences significantly impact our media preferences. Understanding and respecting individual differences can lead to more meaningful connections and enjoyable media experiences.

Our preferences and tastes in media can greatly differ from those around us, especially when it comes to age and experiences. The speaker in this conversation shared various examples of how their own experiences shaped their likes and dislikes, from fruit to films. For instance, they preferred writing lists on paper but couldn't due to practical reasons. They also mentioned their son's dislike for certain shows and films, which was a common theme throughout the conversation. Additionally, they shared stories about their own childhood experiences with media, such as watching Terminator at a young age, and how it influenced their tastes. Overall, this discussion highlights the importance of understanding and respecting individual differences in media preferences and the role that personal experiences play in shaping them.

    • Media exposure in childhood with unexpected consequencesChildhood media exposure can lead to unintended consequences, such as social isolation or confusion, highlighting the importance of parental guidance.

There seems to be a common theme of inappropriate media exposure in childhood leading to unexpected consequences. This was highlighted in a conversation where the speakers reminisced about watching violent films at a young age, including Robocop and Demolition Man. One friend had been banned from watching Robocop after his mother discovered the film, leading to him being ostracized from his friend group. In Demolition Man, the character played by Elijah Wood uses seashells instead of toilet paper, leading to a humorous scene. However, the speakers mistakenly combined elements from these two films, leading to confusion. Despite the misunderstanding, the conversation underscores the impact of media on children and the potential for unintended consequences.

    • Unique memories and technologyEmbrace individual memories while utilizing technology to enhance our experiences and answer questions quickly

Our memories can be quirky and unreliable, often recalling seemingly insignificant details from movies or experiences in a unique way. For instance, some people might remember a film by its plot and actors, while others, like the speaker in the discussion, remember unusual details like food coming from the ceiling or a man in a tree house. This shows that everyone's memory is different, and we should cherish the unique ways we remember things. Additionally, the discussion highlights the importance of technology, such as Google, in helping us answer questions and find information quickly, making our lives easier and less chaotic. Overall, the conversation emphasizes the importance of embracing our individual memories and utilizing the resources available to us to make the most of our experiences.

    • Caregiving multitasking can lead to missed cues and neglected needsFocus on the present moment and prioritize loved ones' needs during caregiving situations.

Multitasking during caregiving activities, such as recording a podcast while looking after a colicky baby, can lead to missing important information or neglecting the baby's needs. The speaker shares her experience of having a colicky baby and the fear of the baby getting day and night mixed up, which kept her up at night. She also talks about how her mother-in-law's health concern took priority over her own needs on a night when her baby had vaccinations. These experiences highlight the importance of focusing on the present moment and prioritizing the needs of loved ones during caregiving situations.

    • The mystery of an inky mark on a headAppearances can be deceiving, gather all facts before jumping to conclusions, age gaps in relationships can present challenges due to differences in life experiences and maturity levels.

Appearances can be deceiving and it's important not to jump to conclusions based on limited information. The story of the inky mark on my father-in-law's head serves as a reminder of this. At first, the family was baffled and worried, assuming it was a serious medical condition. However, it turned out to be a simple explanation - the label on his hat was rubbing off on his head. Another takeaway from the conversation is the topic of relationships with significant age gaps. Some people believe that age shouldn't be a barrier to love and relationships. However, others argue that large age gaps can present challenges, especially when one partner is much younger. As the speaker points out, a 34-year-old man might find it difficult to relate to a 19-year-old due to differences in life experience and maturity levels. Overall, the conversation highlights the importance of taking the time to gather all the facts before jumping to conclusions and the challenges that can come with relationships across significant age gaps.

    • Judging people based on age and appearances can be misleadingAge is just a number, and people should not be judged based on their appearance or claims alone. Honesty and communication are crucial in relationships.

Appearances can be deceiving. In the story, the speaker discovers that her partner had lied about his age, making him significantly older than she had believed. Despite her initial shock and anger, she eventually came to terms with the situation and even made new friends during their vacation. The incident serves as a reminder that age is just a number and that people should not be judged solely based on their appearance or what they claim to be. The experience also taught the speaker a valuable lesson about the importance of honesty and communication in relationships. Overall, the story highlights the importance of looking beyond superficial differences and getting to know people for who they truly are.

    • Misunderstandings in communication can lead to strange situationsEffective communication is crucial to avoid misunderstandings and strange situations. Checking someone's passport is not a solution, but clear and concise language is.

Communication can be complex and misunderstandings can lead to strange situations. In the discussed anecdote, a woman shared an unusual experience from 18 years ago involving a man she once knew. She described him playing cards without dominoes and making bizarre statements, such as comparing her boyfriend to a lion bastard from The Lion King. The man seemed confused by her response and asked to check her passport, which she found odd. The woman then shared some unusual experiences from her own childhood, including showing off her second bum hole and refusing to use the toilet. The conversation ended with a question about having multiple kitchens in a house. Throughout the conversation, it became clear that effective communication was lacking, leading to misunderstandings and strange situations. The woman's advice to "always check their passport" seemed irrelevant and bizarre, highlighting the importance of clear and effective communication in all aspects of life.

    • Misunderstanding due to unclear communicationClear communication is essential to prevent misunderstandings and their potentially distressing consequences.

Communication is crucial in avoiding misunderstandings. The discussion revolves around a strange family habit of collecting and showing recently peeled skin in a jar. The speaker finds this habit odd and raises several questions, but the context is unclear. The conversation then takes an unexpected turn when the speaker receives a call, believing it to be about his mother-in-law's death, only to find out it was about their cat. This misunderstanding highlights the importance of clear and accurate communication to prevent confusion and distress. The strange family habit, while odd, pales in comparison to the potential consequences of miscommunication.

    • Family gatherings: a mix of emotionsUnexpected stories and misunderstandings can bring laughter and intrigue to family gatherings

Family gatherings can bring a mix of emotions, from the sad to the comically absurd. During a recent gathering, the speaker shared a strange yet amusing misunderstanding about his mother-in-law's supposed demise, only to discover she was alive and had only injured her leg. The conversation then took an unexpected turn when a relative shared a shocking story about a waiter who drained his bladder with a catheter to serve red wine directly to partygoers. The speaker was left in disbelief and amusement at the bizarre tale. Family gatherings can indeed be a source of both laughter and intrigue.

    • A group discusses the hypothetical scenario of a man urinating wine into people's mouthsThe group found the idea disturbing yet amusing, with suggestions ranging from practical drinks to less desirable options, and imagining the potential appearance and behavior of the man performing the act.

During a conversation on a podcast, the topic of a man urinating red wine into people's mouths came up as a hypothetical scenario. The group found the idea disturbing and amusing, with some imagining the situation in detail. The discussion raised the question of what drink one would want to be able to urinate if given the ability. Some suggested practical options like water or beer, while others joked about less desirable choices like Prosecco or red wine. The group also imagined the potential appearance and behavior of the hypothetical man performing this act, with varying degrees of attractiveness and annoyance. Overall, the conversation showcased the group's sense of humor and their ability to find amusement in unusual situations.

Children of all ages can stir up so much energy. Yet the challenge is having this energy in one place ALWAYS! At least before, you could change the environment.

Now, you are stuck. Not because you want to be, but because you have to be.

Finding a balance in your own life is one thing. But creating it with the family is another.

So you gotta put first things first.

The K.I.S.S. ~ Put first things first!

Yes, the kiddos matter. But if you don't keep your head on, a lot more can go wrong.

So take a deep breath. Put first things first!

    1. Create an escape moment. This is a way to give yourself space for personal accountability. Run in such a way that you might win. (1 Corinthians 9:24) You may not be able to leave the area, but you can find a moment where you can gain a sense of peace.
    2. Energize with hope. Do something that switches the focus on the positive, not the negative. Dance. Laugh.
    3. Play Hide 'n Seek. You make the rules. Even the little ones can play. You can even play with doubles. Choose a base and you've got this. Just beware! The cat might give you away.

How you feel will be multiplied by the children. They can sense when you are feeling stressed, relaxed, or even nervous. Do your best to project what you want them to feed off of.

2716 If There is Anything We Wish to Change

2716 If There is Anything We Wish to Change
If there is anything we wish to change in our child, we should first examine it and see whether it is not something that could better be changed in ourselves. ~ C. G. Jung Are you holding your child to the standards that were set for you growing up? Or have you lowered or raised those standards for your child? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at http://bit.ly/WomenofIMPACT. http://bit.ly/WomenofIMPACT Being a parent does not come with a manual. And most are troubled with figuring it out when the kids show up. Talk about hands-on training. And it's so interesting as to what we see in our children and how we see it.
    - Familiar traits, good or bad.
    - Attitudes with not always gratitude; entitlement.
    - Mannerisms that are the same.
As you raise your children, you're faced with how you want your children to grow up and who you want them to become. But is that always the right way to view our children? Jung said that instead of focusing on what you want to change in the child, look at yourself. The standard of perfection is real. We want what's best for our kids, but at the same time, we want better kids. So how is this serving our children? If you want to raise a child that will impact the world that he/she touches, you have to first become who you want to be. The K.I.S.S. ~ Become who you want to be! Raising children has its ups and downs and all-arounds. But one thing that will serve you most in parenting with less guilt is to be who God desires you to be. Because you can't change your child. But when your child experiences their mother making changes to better herself, your child is taking notes. Charles Swindoll said, "Each day of our lives, we are making deposits in the memory banks of our children." Do you want your child to see you struggle and gain success, or would you rather your child see only what success looks like? Not a typical thought to cross our mama minds. Yet you and I have to be clear about how we are raising our children. Is it coming from you preparing the path? Or are you preparing the child for the path? Providing your children with everything only gives them a false sense of confidence. Parenting is about being real and still while being present. You don't have to run out and do everything. "What you teach your child today equips your child for tomorrow." ~ Kristianne Wargo So beware of the standard of perfection. You don't always have it right. And more importantly, it's who you are becoming in the process. You can't hide your reflection from your child.  Be authentic. Be vulnerable. Be sincere. Be kind. Be joyful. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"   #ConfessionsOfAnUpsetMama #CreateYourNow #TodaysParent https://form.jotform.com/62988215824163  - This is a complimentary (FREE) coaching call with me.
