    Podcast Summary

    • Discovering Hidden Talents on LinkedInLinkedIn is a goldmine for finding professionals who aren't actively job hunting but could be great hires. Flexible insurance plans from UnitedHealthcare and soft organic cotton sheets from Boll and Branch can cater to various life situations. The Insickness and In Health podcast discusses non-negotiables in relationships and encourages listener engagement.

LinkedIn is a valuable resource for finding professionals who aren't actively looking for new jobs but might be open to the perfect role. Sandra, the professional being discussed, wasn't found through other leading job sites because over 70% of LinkedIn users don't visit them. This means that businesses who aren't posting jobs on LinkedIn are missing out on potential great hires like Sandra. Additionally, flexibility is important in various aspects of life, including insurance coverage and relationships. UnitedHealthcare Insurance Plans offer flexible and budget-friendly coverage for medical, vision, dental, and more. These plans may be suitable for individuals between jobs, coming off their parents' plan, turning a side hustle into a full hustle, or even those who missed open enrollment. Furthermore, Boll and Branch's organic cotton sheets offer the softness that gets even better with every wash, ensuring a great night's sleep for years to come. Lastly, the Insickness and In Health podcast discusses the importance of non-negotiables in marriage and relationships. Each week, they explore a topic and sometimes invite guests to share their deal-breakers and things they couldn't put up with in a relationship. They encourage listeners to participate in polls, send messages, and leave reviews to help spread the word about the podcast.

    • Sharing frustrations over food delivery app experiences while illDespite physical discomfort, people find joy in personal interests and demonstrate resilience. Food delivery apps have limitations and inconveniences that can lead to disappointment and frustration.

Even when faced with inconveniences and illnesses, people find ways to cope and adapt. In this conversation, both individuals acknowledged their shared experience of being ill and the challenges they encountered with food delivery apps. They expressed frustration when orders were incomplete, but also recognized the futility of taking pictures to prove missing items. Despite their physical discomfort, they found solace in their personal interests, such as watching "Deadliest Catch." The conversation underscores the importance of resilience and finding joy in the small things, even during difficult times. Additionally, the conversation highlights the potential limitations and inconveniences of food delivery apps, which can sometimes lead to disappointment and frustration.

    • Rediscovering Old TV Shows with Their PartnerThe speaker and their partner have reconnected over free documentaries and reality shows on their Sky account, reminiscing about past experiences and shared interests.

The speaker and their partner have recently rediscovered their love for watching documentaries and reality TV shows, specifically "Deadliest Catch" and "Pawn Stars," which they used to enjoy before they were together. They have discovered that they can access these shows for free through their Sky account with the Discovery Plus app. The speaker expresses interest in meeting Adam Richman, the host of "Man v. Food," and shares a memory of their past viewing habits, including attempting the hot wing challenge at Nando's and watching Pawn Stars together. The speaker reflects on how stingy the Pawn Stars characters were and shares a story of their visit to the actual pawn shop in Las Vegas. The conversation ends with the speaker acknowledging that the beginning of the conversation was a bit boring.

    • Clare and James's Unique Quirks: A Source of Playful Banter and MisunderstandingsDespite their annoying habits, Clare and James's relationship is filled with mutual respect, teasing, and a shared sense of humor.

Both Clare and James have unique quirks that annoy each other, leading to playful banter and misunderstandings. Clare's habit of making exaggerated announcements while moving around the house was intended to be annoying, but James couldn't help but be drawn in and give her his attention. On the other hand, James's newfound obsession with Instagram and his tendency to plagiarize ideas unintentionally has been a source of frustration for Clare. Despite these annoyances, their relationship is filled with mutual teasing and affection. Clare's attempt to stop making annoying songs around the house turned into a game of cat and mouse, with her making a spectacle of herself in the bedroom and James waiting for her to turn off his vlogs before making a scene. James, on the other hand, was accused of plagiarizing ideas, but he argued that it was unintentional and that he was simply inspired by what he saw on social media. Despite their playful banter, both Clare and James have a deep need for attention and validation from each other. Clare's exaggerated announcements were a way to get James's attention, while James's Instagram obsession was a way to find inspiration and connect with the world. In the end, their relationship is built on a foundation of mutual respect, teasing, and a shared sense of humor. They may drive each other crazy at times, but they wouldn't have it any other way.

    • Instagram's Impact on Purchasing DecisionsInstagram influences people to buy items based on recommendations and inspiration, but it can also distract from keeping promises. LinkedIn is a more effective alternative for hiring professionals.

Social media, specifically Instagram, influences people's purchasing decisions. This was evident in the conversation between two individuals discussing their recent purchases. One of them admitted to buying items based on recommendations and inspiration from Instagram. However, they also acknowledged that they might have failed to keep their vows, possibly due to being sick and spending time on social media instead. The conversation also touched upon the topic of hiring professionals through LinkedIn, which was presented as a more effective alternative to other job sites. Additionally, a listener shared a personal story about enjoying a quiet train ride home and listening to a podcast, highlighting the importance of finding small moments of pleasure and relaxation in everyday life. Overall, the conversation showcased the role of social media in influencing consumer behavior and the benefits of using professional networking sites for hiring.

    • Navigating uncomfortable situationsMoving to a new seat or apologizing can help diffuse tension in uncomfortable situations, prioritizing comfort and well-being for all parties involved.

Dealing with uncomfortable situations can be challenging, and sometimes moving to a new location or apologizing can help diffuse tension. In the given discussion, a man named Bosch found himself in an unpleasant situation on a train when a woman named Karen sat opposite him and began eating a smelly breakfast. Bosch felt cramped and decided to move seats, which led to an exchange of words between them. While some might argue that Bosch could have stayed put, it's essential to consider the overall comfort and well-being of all parties involved. In this situation, Bosch made the right decision by moving. Another valuable insight from the conversation was the importance of apologizing as a way to confuse and defuse conflict. By saying "sorry," one can often diffuse a tense situation and move forward. Overall, the discussion highlights the importance of being mindful of our actions and reactions in uncomfortable situations and the power of a simple apology to de-escalate conflict.

    • Considering the impact of our words on othersEngage in respectful dialogue, use humor and kindness, and recognize everyone's right to their own opinions to create a community of open-minded individuals.

While freedom of speech allows us to express our opinions, it's important to consider the impact of our words on others. The speaker acknowledges the importance of taking the high road and engaging in meaningful dialogue, even with those who hold opposing views. The use of humor and kindness can help diffuse tense situations and foster understanding. However, it's also important to recognize that not everyone may respond positively, and it's essential to respect their right to their own opinions. Ultimately, the goal should be to create a community of open-minded individuals who can engage in respectful dialogue and learn from one another. The speaker also emphasizes the importance of avoiding confrontational situations and focusing on the positive aspects of life. The Lenny sketch mentioned serves as an example of how even in difficult situations, we can choose to listen and engage in a kind and compassionate way.

    • People's perceived patience levels can differ from realityPerceptions of patience can be influenced by external factors, and it's crucial to consider the context before judging someone's patience level.

While people may perceive one person as more patient than another based on external observations, the reality might be different. James and Claire, hosts of the Insickness and In Health podcast, discussed their perceived patience levels in a poll, with Claire receiving more votes. However, James argued that they both have similar levels of patience, but Claire's gets tested more frequently. James admitted to getting frustrated easily, but when he's comfortable, like with Claire, he can be less patient. The discussion highlights that people's patience can vary depending on the situation and the company they keep. It's essential to consider the context and not judge someone's patience solely based on external appearances.

    • Exploring the complexities of human relationshipsEffective communication and understanding are vital in relationships. Recognize and respect differences, practice patience and compromise to find common ground.

Effective communication and understanding are crucial in any relationship. The conversation between the speakers reveals how they tease and challenge each other, showcasing their dynamic and playful bond. However, they also acknowledge the importance of patience and compromise. The speaker admits to having less patience than the other and acknowledges the need for more understanding and flexibility in their relationship. This highlights the importance of recognizing and respecting each other's differences and working together to find common ground. The conversation also demonstrates the importance of manners and respect, even in heated moments. Overall, the conversation showcases the complexities and nuances of human relationships and the importance of effective communication and understanding. Additionally, the conversation is interspersed with unrelated advertisements for insurance and travel essentials. These advertisements do not add to the overall theme of the conversation and seem out of place. It is important to maintain focus on the core topic and ensure that any additional content adds value and relevance to the conversation.

2015 When the Surprise Surpasses the Plan

2015 When the Surprise Surpasses the Plan

Strategic planning eases stress and can bring more happiness. Why? Because you have more direction. But when the surprise surpasses the plan, the heart and smiles ignite!

There is nothing better than a surprise. But unfortunately, we leave our everyday moments to a calendar.

Desire to be supported and encourage by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACThttp://bit.ly/WomenofIMPACT

We plan so many things in life.

    • Dinner
    • Dressing
    • Painting
    • Reading
    • Shopping
    • Dreaming

The plans can be so daunting that it suffocates flexibility and impairs creativity.

So my youngest and I are in Kansas working on the family property renovating two of the three homes.

We've had a great time. But what we planned has not worked out. What we thought could be done in a few days has led to over a week now.

Instead of complaining about what isn't working, embrace the surprise.

The K.I.S.S. ~ Embrace the surprise!

Some things happen for a reason. You don't always know why in the moment. But it becomes a blessing in disguise.

So how do you embrace the surprise? (especially when you are one who doesn't like surprises)

    1. Flexibility - Look for the beauty in the detours.
    2. Gratitude - Adopt an attitude of gratitude. Appreciate where you are now and where you are going along the journey.
    3. Patience - You want things your way. But when you have lemons, you gotta learn how to make lemonade.

Surprises are so much fun when it comes to birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. But in real life, anything disrupting the norm puts you on the defensive.

Don't gamble your days away by placing your bet only on the plan. Yes! Plan when you can, but when surprised, embrace the opportunity.

"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"

    2950 Spin It Your Way!

    2950 Spin It Your Way!

Do failures and successes really define you as a person? Or is it the act of how you overcome? Don't let the cards you are dealt determine your direction. Spin it your way!

So how are you today? Are you in recovery mode from your Super Bowl party?

Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co

Oh, and did your team win?

Today, we will take a play out of the playbook and do a little Monday quarterbacking.

The K.I.S.S. ~ Spin it your way!

Now, you have many choices, rather you win or lose, fail or succeed.

But how you continue to move forward sets the tone for your journey!

You can choose to get stuck in your own patterns and habits, and make excuses for why you fell short and didn't make it to the finish line.

Or you can choose to do it differently without excuses, no matter the result.

    1. Play through the highs and lows. And in this, you are giving your best! You have to stay focused. You can't give up regardless of where you land. "When you take action, you make traction. Take A.I.M.!" ~ Kristianne Wargo
    2. Keep it fresh and be creative. You can play in the game of life however you want. You get to come up with innovative ideas. You get to play to your strengths, so you can tighten your weaknesses. Think outside the box. "Patterns only keep you anchored to what worked in the moment. A new moment requires new actions to anchor." ~ Kristianne Wargo
    3. Be teachable throughout life. You can't do what God designed you to do if you aren't willing to become who He created you to be. You have got to be teachable. You must be willing to learn more even when you're at your best.

Life isn't about proving who you are. What matters is whose you are. When you consider how to overcome your circumstances or challenges, you are leading your life well.

PRAYER: May your journey continue to be steps of greatness that lead you closer to God and what He has designed for your life.

"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"

2997 How to Do What's Best for You

2997 How to Do What's Best for You
In the midst of challenges and busyness, your priorities and dreams can get lost. Don't lose sight of what matters. Buckle up,  and learn how to do what's best for you. Just as quickly as the weather changes, so do our days; the ups and downs of the roller coaster that you don't even have to stand in line for.  Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at https://createyournow.mn.co. https://createyournow.mn.co But the reality is that we are weighted down by the responsibilities of the world around us.  This past weekend was a little crazy for us. My husband is changing jobs and opening up his private business, which required moving and getting the whole family to chip in. We did it at the cost of me not showing up here for two days. But let me tell you, you were always on my mind. Of course, though, you know how this gets me thinking. We all fall into these unplanned actions that cause us to drop one thing for another. And then it because a spiral event of whether we will ever get back on track. You don't have to feel guilty for doing what's best for you. However, there can be a learning curve. Create the recipe that works FOR you! The K.I.S.S. ~ Create the recipe of what's best for you! This simply means how you can get back on track without losing sight of what matters in doing what's best for you. Step 1: Take inventory of the season of life you're in. Right now– What are your priorities, goals, and dreams? Are you happy with the direction your life is headed in? If not, what changes do you need to make to get back on track? It's important to be honest with yourself and acknowledge the things that are no longer serving you or bringing you happiness. You've gotta look at your schedule as to what is important in the present moment. Step 2: Make a plan Once you have a clear understanding of your priorities and goals, it's time to make a plan. What steps do you need to take to achieve your goals? What changes do you need to make in your life to align with your priorities? What do you need to give up, even for a brief moment? It's important to break down your goals into manageable steps so that you don't get overwhelmed and give up. Create a timeline and hold yourself accountable for following through on your plan. Step 3: Take action The final step towards doing what's best for you is to take action. This is often the hardest step because it requires us to step outside of our comfort zones and take risks. However, nothing changes if we don't take action. Start small and work your way up. Celebrate your wins along the way, and don't be too hard on yourself if you experience setbacks or obstacles. Remember, doing what's best for you is a journey, not a destination. And this can happen at any time. Use these skills to create your now; a strategy that will take you from overwhelmed to overcomer. PRAYER: May the hiccups of your every day not cloud your presence of today. What you do matters to God, to your family, to your friends, and to yourself. Life is not going to be easy, but it's always beautiful. Look to God, who gave you the sparks, and let it continue to ring loudly in your heart. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"   #MindsetMonday #CreateYourNow #PersonalDevelopment https://form.jotform.com/62988215824163  - This is a complimentary (FREE) coaching call with me. 2810 I Don't Think, I Know

    2810 I Don't Think, I Know

How do you speak to yourself when it comes to producing what you know needs to be done? Mute the question marks and convincingly whisper to yourself, "I don't think, I know."

How often do you find yourself leading with the phrase “I think”?

Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. http://bit.ly/WomenofIMPACT

In everyday conversation, “I think” because the leader of the pack when it comes to specifying what you believe.

However, let’s move this to your internal conversations, you speaking with yourself. When you are wondering what to do and trying to make a decision, after full analysis, the next phrase of decision starts with “I think”.

Do you “think” or do you “know”.

When you lead with a question mark, you lead with hesitation. Being reserved about your next step slows down your progress. It silences your momentum and produces more confusion.

It’s no wonder you get stuck and confused.

Saying I think is a diversion and has become a neutral position. Therefore, you don’t put yourself in a controversial stance or “know-it-all”. Who wants to be that jerk?

Stating it directly has the connotation of being stuck up or egotistical.

But this is in your mind and your thoughts.

You need to share your thoughts from a knowing position with yourself, not a position that makes you question your every move.

The K.I.S.S. ~ Think because you know!

In order to keep yourself moving forward and doing what you need to focus on, the internal conversation needs to be from a place of confrontation.

You are not trying to decide on a level playing field. The convincing can be reserved for outside conversations.

You are doing what is right for you in the moment during the season of life.

“Your thoughts need to sustain your belief within yourself.” ~ Kristianne Wargo

    Think because you know!

    1. CHANGE your lead statement. These are the words connecting your confidence to your actions. If you let questionable words complete your sentences, you never will have the courage to try what you already know about yourself. Take the guesswork out of whether you can do it, and lead because you know.
    2. MASTER your belief. You have to be the biggest believer in yourself. And not from an egotistical point of view. But like the carpenter who is the master of his trade and takes a jagged square piece of wood and makes it a smooth circle. You need to carve out your own belief within yourself. It doesn’t matter how many people believe in you. If you don’t believe in yourself, quitting gets easier. Master your belief.
    3. MIND your thoughts. Just as you need to have a lead statement, you also need to put a period on what matters. Express yourself with words that elevate hope, inspiration, and possibilities. Nothing is impossible. That doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy or happen quickly. But by bringing the realization that you can do it by streamlining your words to support your vision/mission, it solidifies your direction, and the momentum can continue.

    Think because you know!

CHALLENGE: Where do you need to alter your language? Your words need to match the outcome or results of your heart’s desire.

CAUTION: Otherwise, you will find yourself hunkered down in questions, and the answers will seem further from the facts.

CELEBRATE: Keep your eyes on the direction you're headed. Remember, you have what it takes, but you still have to do what it takes to get to where you want to go.

Keep your whispers inspiring and always searching for what’s possible.

"Master today to impact tomorrow!" ~ Kristianne Wargo

"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"
