    Podcast Summary

    • A day for reflection and making amendsUse Mardi Gras to acknowledge regrets, make amends, forgive ourselves, and move forward for a better tomorrow.

Today, also known as Shrove Tuesday or Mardi Gras, is a day for reflection and making amends. It's a time to acknowledge and address the regrets, mistakes, and faults in our lives. This tradition, which involves making and enjoying pancakes, originated from a deeper, religious place, symbolizing the preparation for the Christian season of Lent. So, while we can have fun making and eating pancakes, let's also use this day as an opportunity to take responsibility for our actions, forgive ourselves, and move forward. By doing so, we can transform our faults and make the most of every day.

5 Reminders That Accountability Leads To Happiness

5 Reminders That Accountability Leads To Happiness

It blows me away that people don’t realize that complaining about someone is actually giving them mental leverage over you.

As I reflect on it, the reason I don’t complain is probably more out of competitiveness than anything else — I just don’t want to give you the satisfaction that you have any say in how my life is going to play out. No one has say -- not my teachers, not the current state of political correctness, nothing.

This isn’t coming from a negative place, or wanting to secretly hurt other people that have hurt me. It’s about coming from a place of confidence and control.
