Why are women more prone to experiencing back pain? Chronic pain is more then just the issue in our tissue...it is a combination of biological, psychological and socio economic factors.
Kristian Morgan is a remarkable human being, he is an ultra marathon world record holder. His joyful spirit, resilience and perseverance are an incredible reminder of human potential.
In this episode I had the honour to ask him some of the deeper questions about what inspires and motivates him. And what goes through his mind as he pushes it to its absolute limits.
We also discuss the integral part a regular yoga practice plays in his life.

In this weeks episode I take a look at poly vagal theory and it's applications in yoga especially with regards to it's use with groups and individuals within a trauma informed setting.
We discuss how I became interested in this topic, a brief introduction to the nervous system and the 10th cranial nerve (the vagus nerve), Steven Porges the psychiatrist and neuroscientist who developed the Poly vagal theory and how yoga helps us to harmonise our relationship to our nervous system.
