For the first time, medical professionals at the University of Maryland School of Medicine have performed the first successful pig heart transplant into an adult human. The patient, 57-year old David Bennett, was diagnosed with terminal heart disease and was ineligible for a conventional heart transplant. So instead the U.S. FDA approved for Bennett to receive the emergency genetically modified pig heart surgery. In this week's episode: Let's Talk Wild EP 3 - Who Wants A Pig Heart?
