According to Jocko, there is no universal approach to establishing a new morning routine, and instead it is about finding what works best for you. While some people are early risers, others prefer to wake up later in the morning, and the best approach is to choose the routine that you can consistently maintain. The same principle applies to creating and sustaining an exercise routine, although Jocko recommends exercising in the morning to start your day in the right direction.     You may feel abandoned, alone, and empty. You might be frustrated, mad, and distraught. You may believe you are unseen, unheard, and unnoticed.

    In times such as these, it is imperative to pause and face whom we can't see.

    Your comeback can be greater than your setback.

    God's promise is bigger than this pandemic. God's promise is bigger than your financial struggles. God's promise is bigger than this world's pessimism.

    Declare who God is!

    Still believe! God can move mountains. I've seen HIm do it through many lives. But you must do your part.

    Surrender what you think you are missing. Surrender the feelings that chain you to the ole thing day in and day out. Surrender the brokenness that feels all too comfortable even though you are hurting.

    Surrender the decisions that seem impossible to finalize. Surrender who you think you are.

    Declare who God is!

    Where the darkness seems so prevalent, there is still light. It may be faint at times, but it never disappears. You must know that God never stops!!

    Today, decide that your circumstances do not define who you are in God's eyes.

    2059 Cling to the Presence of God

    I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you. (Genesis 28:15) Cling to the presence of God.

    So rare for many, but available to all. However, we don't normally see God in this light. He is ALWAYS present. And His presence is such a gift.

    Life can strangle your dreams and crush your aspirations. But what we so quickly forget is that regardless of the situation, God's presence is all we need.

    Now I know you may have an argument against the thought that God is present because you have experienced unanswered prayers, questions that have gone unanswered.

    There is so much that we do not understand when it comes to God, His plan, and understanding His ways. You getting what you pray for has nothing to do with your competence, value, or faith.

    So instead of looking at the results of your desires, cling to the presence of God.

    The K.I.S.S. ~ Cling to the presence of God!

    Know that with Him all things are possible. Yet, that doesn't mean you get everything. God works in mysterious ways. Sometimes you can see His handiwork in motion, and at other times, it's a blessing in disguise.

    God reveals what He chooses. But it's up to you to trust and believe that He has your best interest at His heavenly heart.

    Everything without God is nothing. Nothing with God is everything.

    CHALLENGE: What do you need to give to Him in order to sit in His presence?

    Cling to the presence of God for His presence alone is far greater than any answered prayer.

    God's got you!

    Life can feel so out-of-step. When you don't know, turn to God. Give what you don't have to Him.

    Have you ever had that feeling that you don't know what to do or where to go that all you know to do is to keep doing what you're doing?

    But even that doesn't feel right.

    Logically, you know that something has to give, a decision has to be made, however, here you sit.

    When you don't know, turn to God.

    One thing that's easily forgotten in the crazy every day, God's got you.

    The K.I.S.S. ~ Turn to God!

    Yet we get stuck doing the same thing we professed we wouldn't do before we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

    In all honesty, you and I can really screw things ups.

    You know God has got a sense of humor because He sticks around until we come around.

    Why keep running your every day in circles?

    When you don't know, turn to God.

    Let Him lead instead of you trying to coordinate every move. It's all in the dance. And those of the sweetest moments.

    I just experienced this yesterday. God literally connected all the dots. But can I just tell you, if I wasn't looking I would have missed it.

    The answer didn't come with a burning bush or lightning strike.

    It was truly following through on the gut feeling God orchestrated to draw me exactly to a point in time that changed everything.

    When you don't know, turn to God. Give what you don't have to Him.

    My heart is full only because I followed Him.

    You know the saying, "Success leaves clues."

    So does God. Be looking for your breadcrumbs from heaven.

    The answer is coming!

    2136 Rest

    How can you continue to be consumed by the excuses that have you running in all different directions? Rest. Love rests in your heart, in your tears, and in the dark.

    You do not have to be the consumer of chaos. You can rest.

    The seasons are changing; Thanksgiving and Christmas are approaching. And this is what gets me thinking and breathing.

    Truly being consumed not of this world, but in His love. God's love.

    Walk by faith!

    God is never blind to your tears. He is never deaf to your prayers.  And He is never silent to your pain.

    He sees you. He hears you. He loves you.

    But you have to be willing to rest in Him.

    The K.I.S.S. ~ Rest!

    Why do we get wrapped up in our complaints and pain? Why do we constantly search for what isn't right?

    You can keep God at arm's length, but His love for you is greater than any distance you try to maintain.

    Stop hiding. Stop running. Stop complaining. Stop wishing. Stop blaming.

    REST!!!

    Delight in God's love for you! Feel His presence every day, not just in the moments of crisis.

    Is the world demanding more of what you don't have to give? Proving you can be all to everyone will get your heart into trouble. Find those moments of stillness.

    It's not so much about turning off the chaos. But turning on your heart.

    Awaken your heart to see and hear what God desires for you.

    You are in this world, but not of this world.

    God created you on purpose for a purpose, His purpose. Why challenge what is already greatness in the making?

    Create this calm, peaceful tranquility that gives you a window into the heart of God.

    What does He want to see for your life?

    Where does He want to take you?

    How does He want you to go?

    Why question when He has all the answers?

    My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary this week.

    I was reminded that we don't have to have everything perfect in order for God to show up.
