    • Exploring Sex, Relationships, and the Power of Good ConnectionsThe 'Sex with Emily' podcast discusses sex, relationships, and the importance of good connections in life. The name of the program may be misunderstood, but it's about enjoying the journey. Personal goals are best pursued with the support of loved ones, and charitable work is a meaningful way to help others.

The discussion revolves around the themes of sex, relationships, and the production of a podcast called "Sex with Emily." The speakers share personal experiences and anecdotes, often with a humorous tone. One issue raised is the name of the program, which some people misunderstand as a chore rather than an enjoyable experience. Another topic is the importance of good relationships and the support of loved ones in pursuing personal goals. Additionally, the speakers mention their involvement in charitable work and the importance of helping others. Overall, the conversation is candid, lighthearted, and focused on the human experience.

    • Impact of Porn on RelationshipsStudies suggest men who watch porn are less likely to cheat, and porn might act as a substitute for infidelity for some. 10% of women watch porn daily.

Watching porn can have positive effects on relationships, as studies suggest that men who watch porn are less likely to cheat. However, the discussion also touched upon the comfortability and normalization of the topic among certain circles. Ken, for instance, worked in the adult products industry and was open about the subject. The conversation also addressed the idea that porn might act as a substitute for infidelity, as some cheating partners might be less inclined to cheat if they are engrossed in pornography. Furthermore, it was mentioned that 10% of women watch porn daily. Overall, the discussion presented a nuanced perspective on pornography and its potential impact on relationships.

    • Women and Porn: Education, Exploration, and Unrealistic ExpectationsWomen use porn for education and exploration, but it can also lead to unrealistic expectations and disingenuous performances, particularly for younger generations.

While porn usage among women is more common than previously thought, it serves various purposes, including education and exploration. However, concerns arise when it becomes a learning tool for unrealistic expectations and disingenuous performances. The influence of porn on younger generations and their understanding of sex is a significant issue, potentially leading to disconnected experiences. While some aspects of porn can be beneficial, such as lesbian porn, it's essential to recognize and address the potential pitfalls. Overall, the relationship between women and porn is complex and multifaceted, requiring ongoing dialogue and consideration.

    • Linking pornography to increased sexual desireUsing pornography in moderation can boost sexual desire, but excessive use can have negative effects, and unconventional methods like sexually explicit screensavers can help maintain desire.

The use of pornography, even in moderation, can increase sexual desire and appetite for more intimate experiences with a partner. This was discussed in relation to research from UCLA, which found a link between visual sexual stimuli and increased sexual desire. However, it was also acknowledged that excessive use of pornography can have negative effects, such as turning one off of their partner. The conversation also touched upon unconventional methods of keeping sexual desire alive, such as sexually explicit screensavers or reminders. An example given was the desktop strippers software, which would display a striptease every 10 minutes on a computer screen. While some may find this intrusive, others see it as a helpful reminder to keep sexual desire present in their daily lives. It's important to note that everyone's preferences and experiences with pornography are unique, and what works for one person may not work for another.

    • Discussing alternatives to subliminal app for enhancing sexual desiresInstead of creating a subliminal app for enhancing sexual desires, the group pivoted to discussing Kegelcamp, an app and device that strengthens pelvic floor muscles for better sexual performance and preventing incontinence.

The group discussed creating a subliminal app to enhance women's sexual desires through romantic messages or images. However, they found it challenging to slip such content into a subliminal app. Instead, they pivoted to discussing Kegelcamp, an app and device designed to strengthen pelvic floor muscles for better sexual performance and preventing incontinence. The intensity device, when used with the Kegelcamp app, provides gentle electrostimulation to help users do their kegel exercises effectively and consistently. This can lead to improved sexual pleasure and overall pelvic health.

    • Helping Your Partner Overcome Sexual Performance AnxietyFocus on foreplay, mutual masturbation, and open communication to help alleviate sexual performance anxiety. If the issue persists, consider consulting a healthcare professional.

If your partner is experiencing sexual performance issues, it may be due to anxiety or overthinking. To help alleviate this, consider taking the pressure off by removing penetrative sex from the equation and focusing on foreplay and mutual masturbation. Communication and acknowledgement of the issue are also crucial. If the problem persists, it may be necessary to consult a healthcare professional. Additionally, some men may struggle with discussing penis-related issues, so creating a comfortable and non-judgmental environment is essential. Other potential causes, such as attraction issues or feelings of inadequacy, should also be explored. Overall, addressing the issue together and with patience and understanding can lead to a stronger and more satisfying relationship.

    • Communication and support are key when dealing with intimacy issuesRemember sexual issues often stem from external factors or emotional concerns, encourage open dialogue, and seek professional help when necessary. Store sex toys discreetly and consider roommates' comfort, and explore options designed for specific needs and consider noise levels for gay men.

Communication and support are crucial when dealing with intimacy issues in a relationship. The speaker emphasized that it's essential to remember that sexual issues are often not about the partner's attractiveness or performance, but rather external factors or underlying emotional concerns. She shared her personal experience of dating a man with premature ejaculation and encouraged open dialogue and seeking professional help when necessary. For those sharing a living space and considering purchasing a sex toy for the first time, the speaker suggested finding discreet storage options and considering the needs and comfort of all roommates. They suggested various methods such as hiding them in a tackle box, luggage, or using a shower mount. They also shared past experiences of dealing with roommates and privacy concerns. Ken mentioned that in college, he lived alone and never shared a room or used the shower for masturbation. Tom, on the other hand, had roommates and had to be more discreet with his personal belongings. They also recommended specific toys for their friend, such as the black pearl by Vibertex and various Fleshlight models, which are smaller and more discreet for storage. Overall, the conversation revolved around finding solutions for using personal items privately while living with roommates.

    • Creative Storage Solutions for Shared Living SpacesConsider using suction cup mounts for discreet storage in the shower and hidden storage in a mattress for personal belongings. Be proud of your choices and ensure privacy with locking doors and discreet storage solutions like sex toy boxes.

The discussion revolved around creative solutions for discreetly storing and using various items in a shared living space. One such solution involved using a suction cup mount for a flashlight or other items in the shower. Another idea was to create hidden storage in a mattress for toys or other personal belongings. The conversation also touched upon the assumption that a roommate might judge someone for having sex toys based on their sexual orientation. To address this, it was suggested to be proud of one's choices and to ensure privacy by locking doors and using discreet storage solutions like sex toy boxes. These boxes are available on the market and can help keep items clean and bacteria-free. While the conversation was lighthearted, it also acknowledged the importance of respecting others' privacy and being comfortable with one's own choices.

    • Help Jade reach orgasm during doggy styleCommunicate sexual needs, focus on foreplay and clitoral stimulation, and be patient for reaching orgasm during doggy style.

For some women, particularly during doggy style sex, clitoral stimulation is necessary for reaching orgasm. Jade, a listener from Minneapolis, shared her concern that she often can't climax when her boyfriend rubs her clit during this position. The hosts suggested that Jade's boyfriend should focus on providing enough foreplay and clitoral stimulation before attempting doggy style, or Jade could use a sex toy for additional stimulation. Additionally, they encouraged listeners to rate and review the podcast on iTunes to help spread the word and support the show.

Seven Deadly Sins: Lust a Little - (Pastor Randy Lewis)

Seven Deadly Sins: Lust a Little - (Pastor Randy Lewis)
The sermon was delivered on Sunday, July 7, 2013, at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by Pastor Randy Lewis, Adjunct Minister. SERMON DESCRIPTION The summer sermon series “Seven Deadly Sins” presents new approaches to, and twists on, the antiquity's infamous grave transgression list. Lust is such an ominous word. It means "intense desire or craving" and can take many forms. When used in relation to power or wealth, we are discouraged from lusting. But it is often permissible to have lust for life... a fulfilling life in all its varied forms and arrangements. So, when it comes to a fulfilling life, I say, "lust a little."
