Have you ever asked yourself, “Who am I?” or “What is my purpose in life?” If so, you're not alone. Many people struggle with these questions, and it can be difficult to find the answer. But the good news is that you don't have to figure it out on your own. In fact, you can gain valuable insight by listening to my upcoming podcast. On this week's episode, we'll be discussing the importance of discovering your true identity.

I spent many years disconnected from my core, my true identity. I spent years trying to please others, trying to be what I thought they wanted me to be. I wasted so much time, energy, and money. I suffered so much. Finally, I woke-up. I did the work. I faced myself. I forgave. I released. I moved forward. Now, I help other women do the same. I help them discover what they need to do to reconnect with their core, their true self, their authentic self. I focus on topics that relate to self- discovery, all with the goal of helping you find your purpose and move forward with a life you truly desire.

My guest today is Dr. Karen Lomax, a Mom, Author, Founder and President of Karen Lomax Ministries, as well as KAIROS Editing & Publishing. She’s a Bishop, Army Chaplain, and Master Coach. Her motto is "Just do the work!" She is considered a change agent in the field of life coaching, mentoring, and Christian counseling.

Today, we will discuss the following:

    a) The Definition of Identity - a person's sense of self. It is how we see ourselves and how others see us. It is how we define ourselves. It is how we present ourselves to the world. It is how we view ourselves. It is how we express ourselves.

    b) The Importance of Knowing our identity - is an important aspect of our identity and our sense of self. It influences how we view the world and interact with others.

    c) The Four Steps to Discover Your Identity - these steps will help you discover who you are.

I give you this quote: "Most people spend their days trying to be someone they're not, and the sad fact is that most of us end up living lives we hate." — Larry Winget.

3 Tips to Love the Skin You’re In with Special Guest, Abbey Heagney

3 Tips to Love the Skin You’re In with Special Guest, Abbey Heagney

Let me start by saying there has always been high standard of what society deems as ‘beautiful’. This standard placed a lot of pressure on women to fit the bill and it was our job to make sure we did our best to look like the Hollywood beauties. Now, I grew up in the 70’s where Farrah Faucet & Sophia Loren were the measure to live up to! Talk about the pressure! Not only that but how this affected women – our self-esteem and our relationships and in some cases, still affects us today!

In my podcast we will discuss the definition culture places on women and pressure of being beautiful; we’ll share Abbey’s story of how it affected her life. Lastly, we will provide 3 Tips to Love the skin You’re In. Join my guest Abbey Heagney and I as we unpack the stigma as well as tips to move forward. This way you can leave the cultural standard behind and live a life accepting and loving the skin you are in!!!
