    • Online dating trends in 2020: Doomster baiting and video callsDoomster baiting increased during quarantine as people coped with negative news, while video calls became popular for online dating, saving time and energy. Trust your gut and set boundaries when dating.

The sexual trends in 2020 saw a rise in doomster baiting and online dating, particularly through video calls. Doomster baiting refers to the habit of scrolling through negative news or content and ending up masturbating as a coping mechanism. On the other hand, online dating in quarantine became increasingly popular as people saved time and energy by using video calls to vet potential partners. Emily, the host, had predicted the rise of video dating even before the pandemic, and although she did not foresee the pandemic itself, she emphasized the importance of trusting one's gut when dating and setting boundaries, such as limiting first dates to an hour. Her intention for 2021 is to encourage listeners to adopt her approach to dating.

    • Pandemic's Impact on Relationships: Breakups, Virtual Dating, and ChivalryThe pandemic caused a surge in relationship breakups, a shift to virtual dating, and a potential return to chivalry in initiating relationships.

The pandemic led to a significant increase in relationship breakups, with 60% of users on dating sites admitting to having gone through one in the past year. Many of these breakups likely occurred because people were forced to confront the issues in their relationships while being stuck at home. Additionally, the pandemic led to a shift towards virtual dating and more long-distance relationships. The speaker also suggests that there may be a return to chivalry, with someone having to take the initiative in relationships, and more vulva owners taking the lead in asking people out. Overall, the pandemic accelerated the end of relationships that were not working and may lead to new trends in dating and relationships in the future.

    • Exploring New Intimacy: Ethical Porn and Audio EroticaPeople are seeking alternative forms of intimacy and connection, with ethical porn and audio erotica filling the gap for those disinterested in traditional porn. Intentions, rather than resolutions, are the new focus for personal growth, and Hero Bread offers guilt-free bread options.

Society is embracing alternative forms of relationships and exploring new ways to connect intimately, such as ethical porn and audio erotica. People are seeking inspiration for their sex lives in various ways, and audio erotica could fill the gap for those who have lost interest in traditional porn. Additionally, individuals are focusing on setting intentions instead of rigid resolutions to improve their lives, allowing for a more flexible and sustainable approach to personal growth. Lastly, Hero Bread offers a solution for those who want to enjoy bread without the guilt by providing low-carb, high-fiber, and protein-packed alternatives.

    • Setting clear intentions for your sexual life in 2021Be specific and detailed in planning your ideal sexual experiences and relationships in 2021, communicate openly with partners, prioritize self-love, and adjust as needed.

Setting clear intentions for your sexual life in the new year can lead to more fulfilling experiences. Start by envisioning your ideal 2021, including the kind of relationships and experiences you desire. Be specific and detailed in your plan. If you're in a relationship, communicate openly with your partner about your intentions and involve them in the process. If you're single, define the kind of relationship you're looking for and write down the components. Remember, it's important to be honest with yourself and prioritize your own pleasure and self-love practice. Keep referring back to your intentions to ensure you're on track and make adjustments as needed. By setting clear intentions and being specific, you'll be more likely to attract and experience the kind of sexual relationships and experiences you truly desire.

    • Exploring Self-Care and Self-Exploration for a Fulfilling LifePractice self-care, discover new erogenous zones, communicate in relationships, work on negative patterns, set intentions, and prioritize self-exploration for increased happiness and fulfillment.

Self-care and self-exploration are essential for leading a fulfilling and joyful life. This includes taking time for oneself, discovering new erogenous zones, and having a loving relationship with oneself. Masturbation without porn can be a part of this self-care practice. Additionally, communication and satisfaction in sexual relationships are important to consider. It's also crucial to identify and work on any negative patterns, such as perfectionism or toxic relationships. Setting intentions for the new year and practicing self-compassion can help in achieving personal growth. Remember, change takes time, and it's essential to keep trying even when faced with setbacks. Accountability and support from a partner or friend can also be beneficial in reaching one's goals. Overall, prioritizing self-care and self-exploration can lead to increased happiness and fulfillment.

    • Discovering Demisexuality and Deep ConnectionsSeek authentic connections by asking revealing questions, having deep conversations, and embracing emotional and intellectual vulnerability.

Trust, vulnerability, and open communication are essential for building a successful and meaningful relationship. Jennifer, a caller on the Sex With Emily podcast, shared her experience of discovering her demisexuality and the importance of emotional connections before engaging in sexual encounters. She also highlighted the significance of intellectual conversations and emotional vulnerability in forming deep connections. To find such connections, Jennifer suggested asking revealing questions or having deep conversations, even if it's with someone you initially met online. Her story underscores the importance of being true to oneself and seeking authentic connections, even if it means taking the less conventional route. Overall, the discussion emphasizes the power of emotional and intellectual connections in fostering fulfilling relationships.

    • Being true to yourself and controlling the conversationBe authentic, ask questions to elicit vulnerability, discuss values, wait for the right moment to share intimacy, and focus on building a genuine connection in online dating.

Being true to yourself and controlling the conversation are key to finding a meaningful connection in online dating. The speaker shared her experience of desiring both emotional and sexual connections, but finding that potential partners often defaulted to sending explicit content. She suggested asking questions to elicit vulnerability and discussing values to build a deeper connection. The speaker also emphasized the importance of waiting for the right moment to share intimacy and not basing a relationship solely on sex. With COVID-19, many people have turned to video dates, allowing for more authentic conversations and building stronger connections before meeting in person. Overall, the speaker encouraged listeners to be clear about their intentions and desires, and to approach online dating with a focus on building a genuine connection.

    • Communication is vital for satisfying sexOpenly discuss fetishes, pain, use lube, explore temperature play, try Kivin method, find best vibrator, have sex talks in relationships, accept natural body odors, understand personal climax preferences

Communication is key in all aspects of sex. For virgins with fetishes, it's important to communicate openly with partners. For those experiencing pain during sex, communication and seeking medical help are crucial. Lube is recommended for various types of sex and can enhance pleasure. Temperature play with ice can add excitement in the bedroom. The Kivin method is a technique for better oral sex. The best vibrator is subjective and depends on personal preference. Having a sex conversation in a relationship as soon as you start having sex is advised. Our bodies are naturally clean and there's no need to worry about smell or taste. It's normal for some people to finish only during masturbation and not with intercourse or oral sex.

    • Maintaining sexual compatibility in a relationshipCommunicate openly about sexual differences, find a mutually agreeable schedule, and seek advice or resources when needed.

Sexual compatibility between partners can sometimes be a challenge, and it's essential to communicate openly about any differences or concerns. Mismatched sex drives are common, and it's important to find a solution that works for both parties. Your partner's preferences may be influenced by their past experiences or habits, and it doesn't necessarily reflect on the quality of your performance or their attraction to you. Therefore, instead of feeling discouraged, try discussing the issue and finding a mutually agreeable schedule for intimacy. Remember, sex is an essential aspect of a healthy relationship, and open communication is the key to maintaining a satisfying sexual connection. Additionally, don't hesitate to seek advice or resources, such as Emily Morse's Sex With Emily podcast, social media channels, or her SiriusXM show, to help navigate any sexual or relationship concerns.

    https://www.kelleymbode.com/offers/cANQWuAL/checkout

We’re diving into motherhood, womanhood and all things personal growth this week as I chat with a former Dating for Love student of mine, Caitlin Lili! Caitlin since taking my course and completely transforming her life is now a coach who helps other moms like herself embody their radiance and trust their inner knowing, something she used to really struggle with. Caitlin shares what she learned from the program and how much it has impacted her relationships with men, all the way down to accepting help and compliments on the street and recognizing that all men really want to do is love us and shower us with affection. Who wouldn’t want to get in on a piece of that! She also tells me how her life took a major perspective shift by looking at her requirements for men and dating by turning them into feelings instead and dating outside of her usual preferences. She learned sooo much from just this and I can’t wait for you to hear all about it!

Caitlin and I also discuss the relationship between motherhood and womanhood and how we should never be ashamed to claim our sexual needs and wants as a woman just because we’re mothers. In the wise words of Caitlin “being a mom doesn't mean you don't wanna be f*cked!”. We reclaiming sexuality, freedom and trusting your inner knowing all while being the best mother you can be in this one, so moms, this one’s for you!

    WHAT ELSE WE’RE TALKING ABOUT:

    • All of the incredible knowledge and tools Caitlin gained from my Dating for Love course!
    • Unloading her fear of men and learning to accept and receive their attention
    • Recognizing that love doesn’t always have to be an instant passionate attraction but that love can grow over time into something really beautiful and long-lasting
    • That regardless of pushback, you should never feel stifled or put down for talking about YOUR truth. It’s yours, you can do whatever you want with it
    • How Caitlin claimed her desires by recognizing that her persona as a mother and as a woman were completely separate
    • That putting your needs first doesn’t mean you’re a bad mom and will actually improve your relationship with your kids
    • Throwing away the idea that men are annoying to ask for sex and intimacy. Isn’t that what we all want as women anyway?
    • How since Caitlin started trusting her inner knowing more her capacity to hold sensations in her body became so much bigger

044: Fights, relationship check-ins & making it work long distance with Matt Cama & Kelley Bode

    Hi everyone!

I’m so excited to have my amazing boyfriend back on the show for this episode.

We recently got back to Bali after a 3-month trip in the US where he came to see where I’m from and meet my family for the first time (!!) after a period of being apart. We’re sitting down to talk about everything from what we did while long-distance to keep the connection alive between us, Matt’s experience in the US for the first time and meeting ALL of my family (jet lag included), living together for the first time in conditions neither we or our relationship have been used to, what we fight about, and all the way down to discovering each other’s annoying habits.

We’re even breaking down our most recent conflict and what we would do differently if we were to live that experience again.

Share, subscribe, & rate the podcast if you loved it!

    WHAT ELSE WE’RE TALKING ABOUT:

✹ Sleeping in separate bedrooms and what that means for each of us.

✹ Conflict and exactly how we define fighting in our relationship (and what we do whenever emotional conversations need to happen).

✹ Communicating what you want AND letting go of those expectations in relationships in order to get more of your needs met more often and avoid unnecessary fights.

✹ Build up of resentment and what happens when you don’t simply communicate your desires.

✹ The difference between masculine and feminine in the way that the feminine typically wants more intimacy and the masculine typically wants more space - and that this is actually such a good thing, and the key to polarity… and all of that fire!

✹ Our relationship check ins: what are they, and why do we do them (this is something many people have asked us about - workshop incoming!)

✹ The physical side effects of not speaking your truth.

065: Managing Dating Expectations, Avoiding Resentment and Having Hard Conversations with Nathan Lang

We all know that money is one of the most common reasons for conflict in relationships, but how can we get a handle on it from the first date?

Today I’m diving into the male perspective so us ladies can get some REAL clarity on the age-old question, who should pay for the date? I’m joined by my guest Nathan Lang, a fitness trainer and coach who lays it all out on the table, feelings and all. Nathan describes his dating experiences and how he manages expectations when it comes to paying for his dates. We discuss how this small question can actually have huge impacts on the future of our relationships that can either lead to a better ability to have those harder conversations and more intimacy or a build-up of resentment and conflict.

    WHAT ELSE WE’RE TALKING ABOUT:

    • How men should also get to receive the gratification and enjoyment of letting the other person pay for a date
    • How to navigate the often awkward moment of when the check hits the table!
    • That the decisions you make in that moment of offering or not offering to pay can give you insight into how the rest of the relationship will play out and all of its dynamics
    • How constantly fighting to hear our own perspectives can disrupt the flow of a connection
