Sex Work: It's Not What You Think - It's Better.

Sex Work: It's Not What You Think - It's Better.
I wanted to start the new year off with a bang (pun intended) and bring you an episode that is exciting, interesting, and informative. Our guest today is Alice Little - she's a sex worker, intimacy educator, activist, and youtuber. You may already know her, as she's been featured on The Tim Ferriss Show, The Skinny Confidential Podcast, as well as Buzzfeed and Refinery29. She also happens to be the shortest legal sex worker in the United States, standing in at a cool height of 4'8" - hence the stage name, Alice Little.

Cultural Imposter Syndrome w/ Jen Lawson

Cultural Imposter Syndrome w/ Jen Lawson
HELL YEAH. It feels good to be back at it again (with the white vans). I married into the family of todays guest and she happens to also be a Vice Principal at a High School in my area. Of course we talked about our usual childhood dynamics and weird things we did, but we also dove into a discussion about imposter syndrome. More specifically, how Jen experiences this as a woman who is half white and half Hispanic (specifically Mexican). We also talked about barriers in the educational system, a teacher who made an impact in my life (shoutout to Mrs. Saltares), and how mindset matters. Do y'all even read these? Let's see. First person to comment on the instagram post for the episode today with the codeword "I would like to buy a hamburger please" gets $5. I'll Venmo you. On God.

"Why Has Every Man Found Porn In The Woods?" - with Tattoo Artist Jimmy Butcher

"Why Has Every Man Found Porn In The Woods?" - with Tattoo Artist Jimmy Butcher
Today's guest is kind of a big deal. He owns an incredible tattoo studio in town called The Butcher Tattoo and honestly, there's not a lot he can't do. He can paint, draw, design, and create mixed medium art. He's tattooed the likes of Portugal. The Man and created custom sneakers for Will Smith and Ed Lover, no big deal. Really, head over to Will Smith's instagram (April 2018). We start off talking about his childhood, how he was picked on and jumped for simply being different. Stitches were involved. On top of that, he shares two freaking funny stories about the woods and his childhood weirdness. We eventually dive into how Jimmy became a tattoo artist, creativity, and his values as an artist. Want more? Fine. He also answers some questions you guys sent in, the importance of being kind, and what he wants to be known for.

Meet Marisa: The Vegan Audiologist Soldier Who Lives In An Airstream.

Meet Marisa: The Vegan Audiologist Soldier Who Lives In An Airstream.
So a peaceful gay woman who happens to be vegan joins the military and decides to buy an airstream, save people from hearing loss, and travel the world. It sounds like a punchline to an old school joke, but what you read is anything but a joke. Our guest today is all of those things and more. What? That description isn't good enough for you? So needy. We also talk about how sometimes people can spend too much time managing perceptions rather than living or being their authentic selves. We share stories about our mutual diagnosis of anxiety, what we like about ourselves, and what we hope the future holds for us. So wash those hands, grab a snack, and enjoy this episode of The Mostly Good Podcast.

Secrets: The Quickest Way To Unhappiness. W/ Daniel Eastwood
It's me again, your boo....The Mostly Good Podcast and today we're bringing you an incredible story about coming to terms with who you truly are. Meet Daniel - Daniel seemed to be your standard Christian man living in the south. He was leading worship every week, attending Bible studies, and eventually he had a fiancée who was just as committed to the church. But he had a secret...a secret that he was told to repress. What was his secret? The truth that Daniel was forced to hide was that he was and is a gay man. Flash forward and now he is married to the love of his life and he can proudly be who he has always been. In this episode, we dive into all of the above mentioned details as well as why we don't attend church anymore, Daniel reconnecting with his father later in life, the guilt we feel as a result of our anxiety, and how to process anger.
