    • Discovering the Value of Being Phone-lessBeing phone-less for a few days can help us regain up to two hours in our week. Mindfully limiting phone usage can make us more present and allow us to enjoy other activities, but it's important to avoid replacing phone time with other distractions.

      Our constant use of technology, especially our phones, can consume large amounts of time without us even realizing it. Kate Cocker, from the Volley network, shared her experience of being phone-less for five days and discovered that she had gained two hours back in her week. This time was previously spent on social media or other non-essential apps. The absence of her phone made her more present in the moment and allowed her to enjoy other activities. However, she also cautions that the time saved could easily be wasted on other distractions. The key message is to be mindful of how much time we spend on our phones and to make a conscious effort to put it down and be present in the places we want to be. By doing so, we can potentially gain back valuable time in our day.
