While Christianity was once respected in our culture, even among those who did not claim to be Christians, we are now living at a time in history where Christianity is viewed negatively at worst and with suspicion at best! Do you ever lose your focus? It can be easy in a world with so many distractions to lose sight of the reason we are doing all that we are doing. We can go through the motions and get some things done, but without a clear focus, we will never accomplish all that we can or should. Thankfully, as with so many other things, there is a great example in the Bible of how to maintain our focus when the world around us seems to be out of control. I believe that one of the reasons so many people struggle to move forward in their lives is because of a lack of forgiveness. We have all been hurt. That, unfortunately, is a part of being human. We cannot avoid being hurt, but when we learn how to forgive those that have done the hurting we are able to move forward into the life that God has created us to live.
