S2E08_Minority Leader Malloy Calls for Federal Reserve Audit of Fort Knox Gold Reserve

S2E08_Minority Leader Malloy Calls for Federal Reserve Audit of Fort Knox Gold Reserve

Overnight, the US dollar plunged on world money markets after Korea’s Premier Choe asserted America’s claim of one hundred and fifty million troy ounces of gold bullion stored at Fort Knox, Kentucky was a fabricated lie.  He stated his government had verifiable proof that the bullion stored at the highly secretive American gold reserve are nothing more than gold plated tungsten bars, a metal having a density almost identical to that of gold.  The Choe accusation, along with the sudden drop in the value of the dollar, drew an immediate response from House Minority Leader Joe Dean Malloy.  Malloy demanded the veil of secrecy surrounding the Fort Knox vault and the US gold reserves stored behind the massive twenty ton doors must be shed and the United States government reassure the world and her citizens that their gold reserves are in place and their national stockpile of gold bullions to be authentic.

S2E07_Unsanctioned Republics of Texas and California Officials Rumored to Have Discussed Future Secession Plans

Before entering the Union in 1846, the Republic of Texas had been an independent nation for almost ten years.  The nation was almost as large in land area as the United States, and even had accumulated a sizable foreign debt due to its war with Mexico.  The debt, along with a substantial number of former American citizens with considerable political clout within the borders of Texas, eventually led to the annexation of the Republic of Texas into a position of American statehood.   To this day, the republic still has an unofficial government, in place should the rebirth of the republic ever occur.  On the other hand, the Republic of California never truly stood as an independent nation; and the republic existed, in name only, but for a few weeks.

S2E05_President Ahmed Announces Shift in Party Affiliation at State of the Union Address

S2E05_President Ahmed Announces Shift in Party Affiliation at State of the Union Address

Last night at the start of her State of the Union address, President Halima Ahmed formerly announce the decision to flip her national political affiliation from the Social Reform Party over to the Islamic National Party.  And with that surprise public announcement, the President went on to detail how the shift in political parties will require some adjustments in administration policy and agenda.  Ahmed stressed that her Medicare Embrace program would remain a top priority; but the Islamic National platform held a slightly different view in regard to education funding and federal employment opportunities.  The opinions regarding these programs by the new third party are that individuals should use their own personal initiative when seeking financial assistance for meeting higher education goals; private scholarships, family sources, and low interest loans should be the first option.  If those alternatives are not available to the individual, government funding is acceptable and should be available as a safety net.  Islamic Nationals also believe the private economy should be the principal driving force in creating new jobs for the workforce. The party believes in a leaner government; and over the course of time, the Congress could reduce excessive spending by eliminating misappropriations and duplication of agency functions.  However, the party is opposed to the rapidly approaching balance budget mandate.  Party leaders stress that the directive will require the sudden elimination of entitlements which citizens need to survive in today’s economy.

The year was 1792.  And though President Washington opposed them, cautioned of the potential for partisanship, and chose to remain an independent through both his Presidential terms, the emergence of the American two-party political system still managed to germinate and spring forth through philosophical and political differences within Washington’s own inner circle of advisors.   Favoring a strong united central government, a central banking system, and maintaining strong established ties between the government and wealthy Northeastern elitist were the Federalist; Secretary of Treasury Alexander Hamilton emerged as the party leader..

S2E02_With Dollar Strengthening Ahmed Implements Next Phase of Entitlements

With the U S dollar making a slow, yet steady, recovery in the foreign currency exchange markets, President Ahmed announced in an afternoon press conference that she felt that over the past few months the U S economy had stabilized sufficiently and the American people had regained confidence in the administration’s vision of providing a national safety net to protect the country’s most vulnerable citizens.  Therefore with that perceived national sentiment, the Congress should proceed immediately with legislation to fund the remaining portions of her campaign promised entitlement packages: Phase Two of the Medicare Embrace program, the final implementation of the American Jobs program which would provide funding for five million new federal employment positions across the nation, and funding allocation of student grants for the upcoming school year under the All Are Entitled higher education program.   This year’s estimated cost for Ahmed’s proposed entitlement package will run in excess of seventeen trillion dollars.

S2E01_Premier Choe Announces Details of Hain Toji Alliance Charter

Last week, leaders of the Asian Pacific Rim of Nations met in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam to discuss an array of proposals on how best to build a more organized and unified structure to serve as the coalition’s guideline. However, Korea’s Premier Choe had already drawn up his own vision of the direction in which the alliance should be headed; and his perception of the region’s future was cemented in a conviction of strength, supremacy, and stability.  As the evenings keynote speaker. Choe seized the podium and the attention of his fellow heads of state.  Immediately, Choe stated his intent and informed the gathering that Korea would no longer wallow at the feet of the Russians, the Chinese, or any other dominant power.  The Premier declared, “Korea holds its destiny.  The Korean people have grown in strength and wealth with the formation of our unified nation.   With numbers comes power, and with power comes superiority.”

S1E30_Declining Dollar Levels Off as China Holds Treasury Notes

S1E30_Declining Dollar Levels Off as China Holds Treasury Notes

One week after Japan sold off one trillion dollars’ worth of U S Treasury notes, Beijing announced that China would continue to hold its existing U S Treasury notes as a sign of support for the U S dollar.  Additionally, the Chinese government spokesperson announced that Beijing had bought up all of Japan’s previously owned US treasury notes which the former US ally had dumped unexpectedly on the foreign currency exchange market.  With the U S dollar at an all-time low, the investment would be a shrewd one should the dollar recover.   And the announcement did provide a temporary bump on the exchange market as the dollar was up ten percent at the close of the day; but still down over fifty percent from where it stood eight days ago.

Over the weekend in Seoul, Premier Choe of Korea and Prime Minister Yokoma of Japan met to discuss key economic policies relating to the Hain Toji Alliance.  Outside financial observers believe the two dominant players within the Asian Pacific Rim coalition had major differences relating to the direction the alliance should move, both economically and militarily.  The Yokoma government had expressed a desire to proceed with caution and assure the Beijing government that the multi-nation union does not pose a threat to China or its interest in the region.  While Choe believed the new coalition must face China head on and show Beijing that the union is an equal, both in military and economic strength.

S1E28_Choe Announces Korean Nuclear Capability at Emergency Asian Pacific Rim Conference

With daily skirmishes still popping up along the Indian-Chinese border, Korea’s Supreme Premier Choe called for an emergency session of nations associated with the loosely formed Asian Pacific Rim Conference.  As the meeting began, Choe informed the gathering that the members of the Conference need not cower down to the threat of the Chinese aggression.  The Korean leader assured the group that with a united front the coalition could stand up to either Chinese, Russian, or any other foreign power whom may wish to dominate their people as they had for the past three hundred years.  Their combined military force could match any aggressor.  And then Choe shocked the conference leaders when he announced the Korean military now possessed a nuclear capability; and within months, a threat potency to match that of their most intimidating adversary.

As Congress reopened for business following their winter recess, the main objective of the Social Reform Party was to reclaim the Speaker’s gavel from Speaker Malloy and the Federal Libertarian Party.  However the task was easier said than done.  Moderate Social Reform members, whom had sided with Malloy in the Speakership revolt, sought assurances that they would not be ostracized or penalized for select committee assignments, as a result of their previous party desertion.  Additionally, the moderates wanted pledges from senior members of the party that the compromises which they had secured from Malloy would be honored by the new Social Reform Congressional leadership team.  After five days of negotiating, the majority party was finally ready to challenge Speaker Malloy and regain their entitled position of power – the Speaker of the House.

Sunday morning, tensions between China and India reached a new high as Chinese troops cut across the narrow strip of Indian territory separating Bhutan and Bangladesh; and then crossed over the northern Bangladesh border into the city of Kurigram.  The aggression started late Friday night when the Chinese army crossed into Bhutan and swiftly drove through the country to the Indian border.  The Bhutan and Indian military were caught off-guard by the rapid deployment and were unprepared to respond against the bold aggression of the fifty thousand man strike force.

At around 11:15 PM  last night, a special charter flight carrying the entire Social Reform Congressional Leadership Caucus crashed in a remote section of the Great Smokey Mountain National Park, killing all of those onboard.  The private aircraft owned by Howard Moorland, one of the Social Reform Party’s biggest private donors, slammed into Mt Guyot; one of the highest points in the national park at 6,621 feet.   The mountain is part of a string of peaks which run along the rugged Tennessee-North Carolina border.  Early speculation from an FAA official is that the pilot was attempting to circumvent the most intense portion of a massive thunder storm centered over the southern Appalachian region.

Potential dissidents rounded up.  And city streets swept to an immaculate tidiness.  So with two very prominent players left sitting on the sidelines, Korea’s financial capital is now ready to showcase its grandeur under the international spotlight as the Choe government prepares to host their first international summit in the city of Seoul.  Leaders from eleven Asian Pacific Rim nations will gather in two days to discuss trade, defense, cultural, and economic unity in a new Asian community absent of American influence.  And it appears Korea’s ultimate strategy is to also form an alliance of Pacific Rim nations with neither a Chinese nor a Russian influence in the region.  A strategy which most observers see as, most likely, an impossibility.
