    46. Becoming a Hope Centered and Trusted Leader with Chris Freeze

    46. Becoming a Hope Centered and Trusted Leader with Chris Freeze
On this episode of Beyond The Limit I’m talking with Chris Freeze. During Chris’s 20 plus years of service as a highly respected Special Agent with the FBI. He was tracking down foreign terrorist, investigating violent extremists, recruiting international spies, and even arresting corrupt politicians.

As a result, he rose to the highest ranks of the FBI and served as a Special Agent in Charge for the State of Mississippi. Now, throughout his career, he learned how adverse childhood experiences and trauma contribute to society's challenges.

And if you've ever wondered why team performance has declined, turnover has increased, and sick days are up in the corporate world. Chris found an answer that is simple, yet profound, and it's that trauma creates stress which undermines our ability to trust others and reduces our willpower and pathways to achieving our goals.

The sciences of trust and hope are the keys to building relationships, increasing team performance, and reducing burnout. Chris's work today is to help you learn how to become a hope centered and trusted leader, which are the most important steps to improving well being of your teams, your employees, and your clients.

In this conversation with Chris, we talk his journey to leadership, his rise through the FBI, and the challenges he faced as a leader. He also shares about the profound effects of adverse childhood experiences and trauma on our communities today.

    45. Accessing Peak Performance with Diane Allen

    45. Accessing Peak Performance with Diane Allen
On this episode of Beyond The Limit I’m talking with Diane Allen. As a young violinist Diane dedicated her heart and soul to becoming a professional musician. Feeling bulletproof with her New York City violin training, she would show up to auditions with visions of winning the job of her dreams. But she found her nerves would get the better part of her.

She wishes she could tell you this was a one time event but it wasn't. She could go to practice, she could go to rehearsal, she could even perform in a concert and automatically lose herself in the music. Getting into a peak state was as easy as turning on a light switch. But as soon as she stepped into an audition, that experience escaped her.

Unable to get the work she was qualified for she was at a high risk of living an unfulfilled life with her music trapped inside of her.

Now after 10 years of determined experimentation, she discovered that by deeply focusing on her musical interpretation, she could get into the music. Her nerves would drop, and she would experience personal best. It turns out her deep focus gave her access to flow state, an optimal state of mind when we feel our best and perform our best.

This led her to become a highly sought after violin teacher and the concert master of the Central Oregon symphony. This life was rewarding for her. And not only was she able to put all of her training and skills and passions to use, but her performance went beyond what she thought she was capable of.

Diane made getting into flow state a repeatable process where today she helps organizations in every kind of industry. And she's teaching people how to access flow state on demand. Through a three-step Flow Strategy™ system. Participants are learning to access peak performance that already exist within them, so they can engage deeply, be highly productive, and tap into their greatest fulfillment.

    37. Crushing Fears with Alex Street

    37. Crushing Fears with Alex Street
On this episode of Beyond The Limit, we sit down with Alex Street. Alex always wanted to tell stories, just like his mom (an actress) and his dad (a photographer). He thought that meant he would be an actor, too, but at 17 years old someone gave him a chance to speak on stage to a group of teens and it lit a spark within.

Alex thought he’d be a famous actor, but he took a left turn to become a Youth Pastor - choosing a clear path over his deep passion. And yet, he soon came to realize his passion was for performing, and there was plenty of space to perform while speaking to an audience from the stage every week for 12 years, and at over 100 live events during the last two decades.

Alex believes every communicator could use a little more confidence. Confidence in their message, their performance, and their story.
He believes you have a powerful story to tell. And that living is all about creating moments that matter.
In this episode we talk about the invitation to show up, 5 Fears that keep you from showing up, the power of embracing transitions and the gift of acceptance.
We’re talking all about mindset, leadership, and communication. I hope you enjoy my conversation with Alex.

On this episode of Beyond The Limit, we sit down with Austin Lineberry. Austin is a custom home builder who provides a hands-on experience for his clients through collaboration with land developers, architects, interior designers, and their trade partners.

Austin roots grew deep along the banks of the New River in Grayson County, Virginia. Camp Dickenson was a small church camp nestled between the Blue Ridge Mountains along the banks of the New River. Austin and Elizabeth met there as counselors and soon fell in love.

They married and settled in Atlanta. Shortly after, Austin was introduced to the building business by Elizabeth’s dad. Ted Andrews was a custom builder who owned Lighthouse Homes with Elizabeth’s mother, Bett. Unfortunately, two years later, Ted passed away. Austin continued with the knowledge and experience he gained working with Ted, building over 80 homes for Northstar Homes and collaborating on other projects with colleagues over the next few years.

In 2011, he was hired to work alongside Leonard Jacklett and build a multi-million dollar equine estate. As the success of their relationship and reputation as high-end builders became well known, they continued building on private tracts of land and in subdivisions for four years. It was this experience with his mentor that launched Austin into a career of building high-end custom homes and estates.

Elizabeth, a pediatric nurse, artist, and designer, had always dreamed of designing and building custom homes with Austin. On New Year’s Day in 2016, Austin and Elizabeth broke ground together on a modern farmhouse in Milton, Georgia, and that day their dream came alive!
