    By Our Love

Encouraging others for our King and His Kingdom. Our mission is to live an intentional, simple life, rooted in love. “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets” (Matt. 22:37-40). The common word between these twocommandments is love. So it may be said that the Law of King Jesus, simply put, is the law of love. That one word, love, captures the essence of God’s commandments and beautifully highlights the simplicity of Christ’s nation.

Through The Eyes Of A Child: Adoption Finalization Ep: 27

Through The Eyes Of A Child: Adoption Finalization Ep: 27

Trying to see the world through the eyes of a child is full of adventure, curiosity, and wonder.

An airplane becomes a spaceship, taking off into a sea of stars. Flying into an undiscovered galaxy, with the anticipation of discovering the unknown.

A vacuum cleaner automatically transforms into a giant robot sucking up everything in its path.

A snowstorm is a dancing wonderland, with promises of fresh doughnuts, hot chocolate and endless castles to be built.

These were some of the things we saw through the eyes of our children on our recent ‘round the world’ trip to the United States. As a couple, we have been on countless airplanes and seen incredible places over the years. But traveling with our children, as a whole family, turned this particular trip into a beautiful memory that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. We were blessed to share such a sweet time together. During our trip, our five Ugandan children became US Citizens and had many new and exciting experiences.

Join us for today’s new podcast episode where we share about our recent travels, and some of the encouraging and funny moments we shared along the way.  Also, we talk about our adoption immigration appointment, and why we made the decision to not swear an oath during our adoption proceedings.  Instead opting to affirm, which is a verbal, and formal declaration.

Racial Divide - An East African Church Perspective - Ep: 21

Here in Uganda, we have been staying up to date with everything happening in the United States. The whole world is watching. And our native brothers and sisters have a few things to say. So we want to use this small platform that we have, our podcast, to invite a few of our Ugandan/Kenyan brethren on to have a discussion. As Christians living in the world, but not of the world. As blacks living in Africa, not in the United States. We want to have an open and honest conversation about culture, race, and racism. Stereotypes and biases. How do we break down walls? What can we do to reach out to those that are hurting? What does this look like for the global church? Racial reconciliation is vitally important to the gospel.
