How to Revamp Your Offer to Get More Yeses and Sales with the Momway Method

How to Revamp Your Offer to Get More Yeses and Sales with the Momway Method

    So what does Momway mean?

In this episode I am sharing a fun little experience I had with my seven-year-old son that sparked this idea and opportunity that you can use in your business while marketing your products and services.

If you've ever felt that you offers don't seem to be converting well, perhaps it is time to reposition or repackage them. So what inspired this idea? The lunch program at my son's school. Weird, I know. But hear me out.

My son is a great eater and typically will eat almost anything. But on occasion his lunch bag would come home with a full sandwich. To my surprise, he declared, "I don't like that kind of sandwich anymore." If you're a mom, you get it. But if that sandwich came from Subway - he'd be all for it!

His elementary school offers daily lunch days. Burger day, pasta day pizza day and Subway day. And while I know these days are fun, I simply can't justify paying $7+ every day when I can make him a great lunch from home. For a while, my son kept asking for Subway. But the thing is, my son is 7. And his Subway order consists of a slice of cheese and ham. That's it. No sauce, no condiments and no veggies. So you see where I am going with this right? Why would I spend $7 for ham, cheese and bread?

This is where I got a little creative with his lunch. One morning, I rolled out some parchment paper and wrapped up a ham and cheese wrap and wrote SUBWAY in sharpie across it. And you know what? He LOVED it! In fact, he ate the whole thing and asked to have it again the next day. A miracle!!

So how can this story translate to your business? Perhaps it is time to repackage or revamp how you're selling or marketing your offers. Maybe they're out of date. Maybe your audience is bored. Maybe you just need to make a small tweak to get your customers and clients excited again!

10 Creative Ways to Build Your Email List

10 Creative Ways to Build Your Email List

Want to fast track and get results faster? Download these FREE Templates!
    DOWNLOAD THE TEMPLATES

If you’re looking to grow your email list this year, you are definitely on the right track. I talk about the importance of building a list for your small business a lot, because it is one of the best investments you can make in your business that will provide better results and longevity with your audience.

And yes, I hear it often…but HOW do I get started? And that’s what we’re going to focus on in this episode. Here are some creative ways to onboard new subscribers to your list.

I’ve talked about it before but let me reiterate WHY it is so important to build and grow an email list.

For starters, email provides a direct and personalized line of communication between you and your subscribers. It allows you to keep in touch with them and build a relationship with them.

It’s also something that you own, unlike your social media accounts. If your social account is compromised, hacked or you lose access - you have a solid list of fans that you can still connect and communicate with.

With an email list, you have the opportunity to segment your subscribers based on their interests, demographics, or their buying behaviours; which allows you to personalize your marketing messages and target specific groups of subscribers.

It’s also a cost-effective marketing strategy. Building an email list requires minimal investment and the return on investment (ROI) can be significant.

It can also increase your sales by keeping your subscribers engaged and informed about your products or services. As well as discounts, special promos, flash sales and limited offers.

And lastly, email marketing has higher engagement rates than social media. People are more likely to open and read an email than a social media post which makes email a powerful tool to engage with your subscribers and build brand loyalty.

Here are a few creative ways you can get started on - and I will preface this by saying you’ll probably want to test out a few of these options in order to test what is resonating and converting well. I’ll also say, in my experience, don’t give up too early on your creative opt-ins. Sometimes they may take some time to build traction.

So let’s chat about some opt-in options you could create:

    1 - Cheatsheets or checklists

    2 - workbooks - something printable

3 - a PDF guide - with instructions on how to achieve (insert your niche here)

4 - templates - customizable templates to save time

5 - video tutorial - show how to do something/explain

6 - live workshop or presentation - in your niche

7 - a quiz - to help discover something about themselves

8 - a challenge - something that is delivered in bite size pieces for a win

9 - a discount off their first purchase

10 - free shipping on your first order

How to use Reviews & Testimonials in your Marketing Strategy

How to use Reviews & Testimonials in your Marketing Strategy

You received some amazing feedback from a recent project or sale of your products... amazing! Once once you've done your happy dance ( at least I hope you do a happy dance - you deserve it) I want you to consider some ways that you can utilize that feedback as part of your marketing strategy.

If you ever feel stuck in what to post next on social media or to share in your weekly email newsletters; why not look to some of the reviews and testimonials you've received and repurpose?

Reviews and testimonials offer potential new clients and customers a glimpse as to what it is like to work with you or to buy from you.  It lends to your credibility and expertise.

Here are some ways to get started:
    - sending an email once your service has ended,. You could create a form in Google Forms and send to your client to fill out. You could also create a survey.

    - Make it easy for your clients and customers by following up with an email and a direct link of where you'd like them to go. For example, to your Google Business Profile.

    - Another way to ask for feedback is through social media. You could add something to your Instagram stories and add a question stickers and just say, "hey, if you've worked with me, I'd love for you to drop in a couple words of  what you thought of the service, etc...

    - Once you have your reviews, your feedback, your testimonials, I want you to carve out some space on your website to prominently display them. This is really great for your credibility. It shows, you know, the actual feedback from real clients and customers.

**On that note, I do want to make sure that you're protected and there are privacy laws that you might want to look into. They vary from country to country, but making sure that you have permission from your client in order to display on your website.
So written permission is probably a good idea. So look into that to make sure that you're protected and that it's clearly defined and of course that those reviews are true and accurate.

Tune in and enjoy all the creative ways to maximize your reviews, testimonials and reviews.

How to Repurpose Your Social Media Content

How to Repurpose Your Social Media Content

Reduce, reuse, recycle, you've heard it before and now you're hearing it here. And what does that have to do with content creation, marketing strategy, social media?
Well, that's what we're going to dive in on this episode.

We're going to talk about reducing your time, creating fresh content and to reuse content that you've already made on the same platform and then we're going to recycle it on other platforms.

I want you to think about how you can be more efficient with your time and not always reinventing the wheel.

What I see happening a lot is we put our content out there and we wait and see how it does and then we constantly go to the next piece of content to churn out in order to 'stay consistent.' It's exhausting because we feel like we have to keep showing up and showing up and showing up in order to make sure that the algorithms working in our favour that.

A strategy that I have found really helpful (and decreases that overwhelm and burnout) is the opportunity to repurpose content that you've already created and even if it didn't perform as well, we can't just measure our results on one
post or one reel because there are so many factors that are outside of our control and so it's really difficult to actually measure.

We just have to make  little edits to the content that we've already created and that's going to provide us with more insight as to what is actually converting or measuring well. For example, if you shared a post and you felt like it flopped, well then maybe it was just the time of day, maybe there weren't clear call to actions, maybe the hashtags with it weren't really relevant or there weren't enough keywords.

Here are a few suggestions and ways to repurpose:
    - be repetitive. I promise you, it is OK to repeat yourself and often. Just simply do it with a different piece of content such as repurposing a static post into a reel.

In order to repurpose the most ideal content,  go to your Instagram insights and  review your previous posts that have performed well. I recommend looking at shares, saves, website visits, profile visits.

Where else can you repurpose this information? You could take a top performing post and use that topic or subject matter in your email marketing newsletter.
Can you expand a little bit more? Can you include a story that goes with it? So not only on email marketing, perhaps you want to include more of a blog post on your website.

Another opportunity to repurpose that content is using it on different platforms. I don't like to really suggest that you're trying to be everywhere all at once, but you could repurpose and share on Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, etc. I like to focus on one main social media account, but there is something to be said about being omnipresent.

How this strategy can generate a month's worth of post ideas, in minutes.

How this strategy can generate a month's worth of post ideas, in minutes.

What is one website that almost every single business owner in the world has visited?
You guessed it...It's Google. In this episode, I'm sharing how to use Google as part of your strategy to create more content for your business, but content that your audience is craving and asking for.

This is going to be really simple and something that you can start right away.  And the best part is, it's using a free tool.

To get started, simply open up a Google search and type in a keyword that relates to your business. For example, if you are a bath and body company and one of your products are handmade soaps, type that into Google.

Once your search has generated, I want you to scroll down and you'll come across a section that says, "people also asked." This is content creation gold right here because this is going to show you what others have searched for. Yes, your customers and clients are out there asking questions that you can answer through your social media content strategy!

I encourage you to get in the habit of doing this with 3-4 keywords that relate to your business or your niche and pull 3-4 questions that you can create content for. And voila! You'll have a month's worth of content ideas in no time!

How to Prioritize Where You Show Up on Social Media - Behind the Curtain Talk

How to Prioritize Where You Show Up on Social Media - Behind the Curtain Talk

Let me guess, if you're anything like me, you're busy and always looking for ways to be more efficient and use your time wisely - so as you can enjoy the things you really love in life (your family your hobbies, travelling, bingeing the latest Netflix series) you know what I mean.

This episode may sound a bit different because it's a sneak peak behind the curtain of a LIVE Q&A session I hosted inside my private community, the Creative Marketing Membership. Every month members are invited to a LIVE call on Zoom where they can ask me anything related to entrepreneurship, business growth, marketing strategy and social media tips (and yes, even just real life stuff is welcome).

In order to practice what I preach, I decided to repurpose a snippet of this conversation for you, my loyal podcast listeners because I know if you are tuning in to the show , this will resonate and be of value to you.

The question that came up was, 'how to prioritize where to show up' in relation to all things business, including social media. Let's just say, I became very passionate in my response as I now how much social media influence is out there - and I promised my members and listeners that I would never bullshit you. So as you'll hear, this sounds more like my own Ted Talk but my hope is that it supports you on your entrepreneurial  journey as a business owner.

Feeling Stuck in Your Small Business? How Excuses, Social Media and even your Goals are keeping you there.

Feeling Stuck in Your Small Business? How Excuses, Social Media and even your Goals are keeping you there.

As small business owners, we typically try to manage "all of the things" and are quick to feel stuck, deflated and playing catch-up. But what if I told you that the remedy to this are some simple strategies that can help you feel more confident, aligned and o track in your day to day business? Sounds dreamy right? Well, let's start at the top and work our way through.

Some of the things that keep us stuck are the tools we use for our business. Hello... Instagram anyone? And while social media are great tools to support our business, they can often be the root cause of distraction, anxiety and imposter syndrome.

    Here's how:

    1. Time consumption: Social media can be a significant time sink for small business owners. It's easy to get lost in scrolling through feeds, reading articles, and responding to comments. This can distract business owners from more important tasks like managing finances, developing strategies, or working on a solid marketing strategy.
    2. Over-reliance on social media: You may become overly dependent on social media for marketing and promotion. This can lead to neglecting other channels that might be more effective or cost-efficient, such as email marketing, search engine optimization, or word-of-mouth referrals.
    3. Pressure to be constantly present: Social media operates 24/7, and as a small business owner, you may feel the pressure to constantly post updates and respond to messages. This can create an "always-on" culture that is both stressful and unsustainable.
    4. Comparison with competitors: Social media can also lead to small business owners constantly comparing their business to others. This can be detrimental to your self-esteem and motivation, leading to a sense of inadequacy or imposter syndrome.
    5. Distraction from the bigger picture: Finally, social media can distract you from your long-term goals and vision. Focusing too much on short-term metrics like likes, shares, or followers can cause them to lose sight of the bigger picture and the core values that drive their business.

I want the best for you and highly recommend getting clear on YOUR goals without the influence of others. Our circumstances are never the same and we operate at different levels and are in different seasons of business. What works for you? What feels in alignment for you? Where can you celebrate your growth? How can you work more efficiently? And what seeds can you plant today and nourish for the long game?

Six Images You Need for Your Personal Brand for Web & Social Media

Six Images You Need for Your Personal Brand for Web & Social Media

As business owners, there's no way around it... You need professional photography for your business. And while you may be thinking, 'but Ang, I have my photoshoot booked! I'm all set!" This is the episode for you.

Here are six images you should be getting for your business and personal brand to utilize on social media and your website.

1 - Having an image of yourself looking directly into the camera can be incredibly important for a business brand. It helps to create a sense of trust and connection with potential customers and can make your business more memorable and relatable.

2 - A great way to build a successful business brand is to use blank space strategically in your marketing materials. Blank space can help to draw the viewer's eye to your main message and give the design a more professional, polished look. It can also help to break up text and other elements on a page, making it more visually appealing and easier to read.

3 - Using horizontal images on a website is important because they are visually appealing and help draw the user’s attention. Horizontal images also tend to be more balanced and create a sense of continuity throughout the website, which can be beneficial for a user’s experience.

Tune in and learn the remaining three images you must have for your personal brand!

3 Ways to Create Better Video Content for your Business

3 Ways to Create Better Video Content for your Business

Video content is here to stay and one of the questions I get asked about all the time is how to create better video content (because it's overwhelming feeling like we have to be the next Spielberg or Cameron.

In today's episode, I am sharing three easy ways to create better video content whether it be for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok or Pinterest... without the overwhelm!

Why is Video Content Important and Relevant for small business?

Video content has become increasingly important for small businesses, as it can help them to reach new audiences, engage with customers, and build brand awareness.

    1. Increased engagement: Video content is a highly engaging format, and can help to grab the attention of potential customers. Videos can be used to showcase products or services, provide tutorials or demonstrations, or share customer testimonials.
    2. Improved SEO: Video content can also improve a small business's search engine optimization (SEO) efforts. Video content is highly shareable, and can attract backlinks from other websites, which can improve the business's search engine rankings.
    3. Greater reach: Videos are highly shareable on social media platforms, which can help small businesses to reach new audiences. By creating compelling video content that resonates with viewers, small businesses can build brand awareness and attract new customers.
    4. Improved conversion rates: Video content can also improve a small business's conversion rates. Studies have shown that consumers are more likely to make a purchase after watching a video about a product or service.
    5. Cost-effective: Video production technology has become more accessible and affordable in recent years, making it easier for small businesses to create high-quality videos without breaking the bank.

Ready to make more video content with ease?

Looking for more efficiency throughout you work day? Try this.

Looking for more efficiency throughout you work day? Try this.

Inside my private membership community, we do a monthly Q&A call and one of the calls last month got us talking about efficiencies. Specifically about managing our time throughout our work day or work week to manage all of the items we are juggling as business owners.

So in today’s episode, I wanted to share some of the tools and processes I’ve implemented to support my workday without causing burnout and overwhelm. My hope is that you can adopt these in someway so as you feel more aligned and on top of (not only) your day to day tasks, but the opportunity to get to the this you’ve been dreaming about or hoping to get started on.

Let’s dive into implementing more efficiency in to your work day.

1 - There’s the master plan, the weekly and the daily plan. The master plan is all the tasks and duties we have on the list. This is all of our day to day, weekly and monthly tasks as well as all the goals and new things we’d like to start. When we’re too focused on ALL of these things, we’re naturally going to feel overwhelmed. So the first suggestion I would give, is to create blocks and prioritize. For example, you could take everything from your master list and segment them into categories (such as your social media, content creation, bookkeeping, email marketing, your inbox, client work, podcast… etc) This is an example of some of mine. Yours may look like social media, email marketing, packing and fulfilling orders, inventory, the time you need to make your products and so on and so on.

What I encourage you to do is start pulling those items from the master list and segment them into blocks on your calendar for the month. Be intentional and thoughtful, For example, do you need to include bookkeeping and email marketing on the calendar each week? Or can you designate a week or two out of the month to batch out these tasks?

Tune in for the full breakdown on how to master this!

How to Get Started with Email Marketing

How to Get Started with Email Marketing

In today's episode we're going to dive right in to the simplest ways to get started with email marketing. Remember, we don't own our social media accounts and without having a space where you can access, nourish and communicate with your audience off of those platforms, it can leave you vulnerable and could be leaving money on the table. If you haven't tuned into episode 4 - I do suggest that you go back and give that a listen before this episode.

I mention some of the platforms that you can get started with and I have to be honest, I love using Flodesk!

Flodesk allows me to create beautiful designs, add my tags, segment my audience review my insights with ease and keeps me connected to my audience.

Why You Must Have an Email List as part of your Business Marketing Strategy

Why You Must Have an Email List as part of your Business Marketing Strategy

I would hate for you to put all your marketing efforts on one platform... especially if that platform isn't one that you actually OWN. So if you've been investing all of your efforts into one social media platform, whether it be Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Twitter, etc... you're leaving yourself in a very vulnerable position.

I get it, we hear all the "guru's" and "experts" on social media claiming they can help you reach, "10,000 followers by following this strategy." But listen friend... that is NOT a good strategy, because you don't own those followers. And what happens when there is a social media blackout? (We all know it has happened) and what if you're the victim of having your account compromised, disabled, or (gulp) hacked? Then what?

Building an email list affords you the opportunity to build a community that you can access any time you want. Think of it as your community. Your safety net. And your opportunity to build like, trust and know relationships.

Let's dive in to more reasons why you should be starting your list.... (like, yesterday).

Are you under the {Social Media} Influence?

Are you under the {Social Media} Influence?

Have you ever been scrolling through social media and all of a sudden feel really, really giddy or happy? Maybe you saw something was hilarious and it made you laugh… but then other times while scrolling through, you get triggered and self-doubt starts to creep in and it doesn’t feel as good, and it can completely change your mood.

I know I'm not the only one who feels this way, and I'm gonna call this being under the social media influence.

So this year I've been having a lot of conversations with clients and with friends of mine about the influence of social media. And when I talk about influence, I mean that's what it is. People are showing up, they're sharing their stories, they're selling their services, their products, all these multitude of ways that we utilize social media.

And it does affect our decisions even when it comes to making a purchase. It's our buying practices, the things we want to invest in, the things that make us laugh, the things that make us cry, the things that we wanna share with others. We are being influenced, and influence is not necessarily a bad thing, even when we're showing up for our businesses.

But because we're using social media as a tool in our business, we're also susceptible to being influenced ourselves. And sometimes that shows up in the form of now doubting ourselves, doubting our efforts, feeling like we can't keep up or we don't wanna copy, but we offer something similar and it just goes down this rabbit hole.

In today’s episode, I am going to break down some ways you can view this influence and have more control over what to do with it. The last thing I want is for you to feel overwhelmed in your business and comparing yourself to others in your field. ________________________________________________________________________________________
