Life Love Music & Space Travel

There was a time when the idea of being "independant" scared me to death! I used many things that kept me in a very dependant state of body, mind AND spirit. Well... it ain't like that anymore ;) THANK GOODNESS!! 
And so, in the spirt of "Independance Day" I opted to focus on the many ways independance has presented itself to me thus far on my earthly experience. 
As always, I hope to inspire YOU to take a look at your life, and if you find your not already heading in an independant direction then to perhaps "exit stage right", so as to get back on a path that provides you the opportunity to get to the healthiest place you can be in your body, mind and spirit :)

I am presently living out, in real time, the social experiment that is 2 parents & their two grown children all again living under one roof!

Anyone out there struggle with the endless challenges we humans are presented with?
I don't know about you, but I find I say, "What the fuck?", quite often! Also translated as, "What's the purpose?!" 
Yup, I'm the kind of person who needs to find purpose in lifes challenging happenings, so as to make sense of the situation, or as I often say, "Give purpose to the pain.", which in turn allows me enjoy my life on planet Earth, more often than not ;) 
Quite often the purpose is just a straight up opportunity to cope, which can also be coined as an AFGO: Another Fuckin' Growth Opportunity! LOL
I'm grateful to have become hip to personal growth, due to the fact that challenging experiences are NOT going to end, as long as I'm on the planet, and personal growth is fucking fullfilling enough to keep me moving forward on this earthly experience!

So my Big Easy adventure has come to a close... for now ;) What a whirlwind 4 days & 5 nights I got to spend in the Crescent City! It was SOOOO much more than I expected and/or hoped for!! 
In this episode I unpack my memories from Sunday AND Monday... I was supposed to fly out Monday morning, but due to a MORNING OF flight cancellation, I had the pleasure of getting in another full day of New Orleans!! "Let go? Are you mad?!"
That was surely my thought process for a good portion of my life, and still can be at times, BUT I'm getting better at embracing the process AND truly understanding that it IS the way to freedom.
The last few years of my life have been filled with many opportunites to let go, especially the last 6 months. And albeit I would have preferred to NOT have had to go through such a challenging time in life, I can honestly say that I'd rather grow through the shit, than just sit in the shit ;)

3 months ago yesterday I rolled into NC, having recently left the place I'd called home for the last 27 years. I packed up my car and my dogs and I headed from high in the Rockies to the Southern Atlantic Coast.
I'm now officially 3 months into my new life. A life I wanted nothing to do with. A life I was afraid of living, only to find out it's the best life I've lived in quite a few years. That just goes to show that I have NO idea what is good for me, while also learning that out of great grief can great joy eventually be felt.
My intention with this episode is to share my hope with anyone going through tough times, anyone who may eventually go through tough times, or anyone who has already also been through tough times.

This episode was inspired by my friend Ian!! His topic suggestion was: "The pressure we put on ourselves."
I'm sure we all know too well how it feels to be pressured by outside sources, and even worse the good old self imposed pressure. 
In this episode I share my own experience on the topic and hope that you'll find comfort in knowing that your not alone in this area. I equally hope you end up feeling inspired to begin a practice, or continue honing in on a practice, that aims to release your pressure valve and in turn allows you to find a lot more joy in this earthly experience and all it has to offer :)

Note: I'm recording, editing, and publishing this dealio all by myself! And in the process I'm letting go of my self imposed pressure to be perfect!

Hello cyberspace!!

Thanks SO very much for joining me on my podcasting journey! How appropriate that my 3rd episode is a full on TRIFECTA episode! I recorded, edited AND published it in 4 hours!! How cool if I had been able to do it in 3 hours right? ;) Oh well, I'm not superwoman ;) 
That being said I am pretty proud of myself for staying the course and getting over the #3 hurdle. For whatever reasons I had a pretty hard time getting past the voice in my head telling me to give up this new venture, but fortunately the voice to keep on forging forward was louder :) And so this episode has an underlying message of: "Be afraid and do the thing anyway!!"
