It's time for episode 2! This week, Alyssa and Logan talk about The King of Staten Island and Uncut Gems. Neither of these films are particularly new, but to balance things out, we made sure neither was particularly old either. I think the math checks out. Both of these films share the interesting trait of having a star comedian gives a heartfelt, dramatic performance, and that's interesting for sure. Join us as we talk about giving tattoos and drugs to minors, making wild bets with your marketing budget, and yet another Willy Wonka-style Golden Ticket adventure.

Take 1: The Witches (2020) / The Witches (1990)

It's our first episode! This week, Alyssa and Logan kick things off by talking about not one, but TWO spooky movies: The Witches (2020) directed by Robert Zemeckis and The Witches (1990) directed by Nicolas Roeg. Both of these films do some interesting things in terms of marketing and advertising, and we discuss what we think the films did well and maybe not so well. We also give some our own ideas, including but not limited to fake street mice and iconic British Boy quotes.
