    RECAP TIME:

Swiftly becoming a force to be reckoned with in Delnori, our heroes’ two missions were coming to a head.

They had sunk five day’s work into research in the sapphire-lit stacks of the Delnori University. They dove into lore, mysteries and histories, all in hope it could help them understand not only who they were up against but their own origins and the origins of their strange deities and patrons.

During their week in the Delnori University, they also shared in the search for the lost map fragment that shold help lead them to the drowned chamber of Yelanreire.

The task was given them by Captain Ryse Killid of the Oddmium Trist prate crew. The crew had bought half the map from a mysterious man called the Curator, and they needed our heroes to find the other somewhere in the Guild Garden district.

Meanwhile, the Touch Lotus Thieves were repairing the opal archway on the orders and physical augmentations of ex-alchemist and aspiring litch, Dolan Crissaphaene.

Time was on our heroes’ sides but, as they sought out the lost map, it was ticking away.

    Roll Models D&D: Episode 67 – Discoveries & Delirium

    Roll Models D&D: Episode 67 – Discoveries & Delirium

Doubling down on their research time, our heroes threw themselves in the stacks of the Delnori University… they were committed to finding the Map to the drowned city Zarlumai… but they were also uncovering other secrets.

Moxie learned about the harrowing origins of Onru, the Labyrinthine – a caustic being that her brother had possibly bound himself to.

Ora learned about the Winged people for Zarlumai, and how they once worshipped a “Crestcoil” whose name he recognised… Enthorandoran, his god, currently secluded in the Edge.

Sentinel earned gold working with patron, Ripper, and they learned some more about sealcrafting… and continued to drink away their demons.

And Eugene figured out how to open the doorway hidden behind the bookshelves with a combination of artificing an alchemy. It led down into a small chamber where a desiccated body of a Tyrlaar and a broken Lexicon rested.

As he investigated, he found a metal rod engraved with waveform hieroglyphics and from it his own Lexicon consumed the stored information – a fragment of history about the origins of the Tyrlaar, and the art of creating artefacts called disquisitions.

Roll Models D&D: Episode 66 – A Lexicon of Seething Secrets

Roll Models D&D: Episode 66 – A Lexicon of Seething Secrets

Our heroes had recovered from their run-in with the Touch Lotus and already had their eyes set on two jobs before them.

The first: to stop Dolan Crissaphaene and his Touch Lotus from fixing the Opal archway and seeking out powerful relics called “Schivers” from beyond.

The second: to find the ancient map fragment for the Oddmium Trist pirates and eventually go with them to seek out the marked, hidden chamber Yelanriae in the ancient, drowned city of Zarlumai.

With a week of downtime under their belts, our heroes were finally reaping the rewards, both in gold and secrets. Many of them had spent a whole week in the Delnori University library, researching a select few subjects, bathed in the sapphire light of its stained-glass ceiling and swathed in the narrow shadows of the stacks.

Ahmaya, not one for books that don’t contain recipes, gritted her teeth through tome after journal in search of controversy surrounding her secret homeland, the Opari. And it paid off. She uncovered “the Big Opari Lie”, the conspiracy of her home Empire as reported by an old Asildian explorer and scholar…

Roll Models D&D: Episode 65 – An Inquisition of Tomes & Tombs

Roll Models D&D: Episode 65 – An Inquisition of Tomes & Tombs

There had been a revelation. The insane ex-alchemist, Dolan Crissaphaene, was once the lover of their close acquaintance Morderyn’s mother. So they sent him off to get more info. It was more than possible that Morderyn’s mother, once head of the now defunct Delnori Thieves Guild, was still working with Crissaphaene.

And Crissaphaene’s aims were not particularly wholesome: he sought to repair and open the opal archway and, in the world beyond it, seek out relics called “schivers” to make himself immortal so he could survive “the coming end.”

That night Ora was visited by his lost deity Enthor where he was given a glimpse into the true history of an entity that opened The Edge and destroyed much of the world many thousands of years ago. An entity he called The Unbeing. And Enthor feared it was rising from its decimated ashes.

That morning the tension was broken with the arrival of Moxie’s best friend in the whole world, Mariika of house Yaldren from the Dustmere Syndicate – now in Delnori to train at the Guild of Physicias.

The last day had been fruitful, so our heroes decided the archway and the Touch Lotus could wait. They needed time to prepare, and time to understand. So with a week of downtime before them the aim is to achieve a few things:

To find the map fragment for the Oddmium Trist pirates that they knew was hidden in the university somewhere. To research into various mysterious powers and conspiracies that were at play, to top up their purses, and for Eugene, to break the puzzle of the ancient cache hidden in the library.

Roll Models D&D: Episode 64 – Old Friends & Foreboding Futures

Roll Models D&D: Episode 64 – Old Friends & Foreboding Futures

In exploring the Nexus through her God’s Lantern, Freya was possessed by the Disciple, Xethir. She freed herself from his grip, but he knew where they were. They could only assume he was curious about them after they thwarted his efforts in creating a Graven in Dustmere from the body of duke Debiles.

They moved Inn, to The Night Mountain in the Plaza District and made a plan: to take the day, a collective breathe. Sentinel negotiated some well paid work with Ripper and the rest of the gang took to the Delnori University library.

While Freya looked into how the Touch Lotus Thieves could be using the stolen materials to fix the strange opal archway, Moxie looked into the anti-magic poison, rigore, and Ora researched the old magic that seemed to tie many of their enemies plots together: seal craft.

Eugene explored with his Lexicon, in this vast, stained-glass library there was a secret he was after, a cache, similar to the one he found in Dustmere… he just needed to find it. In the first day, he found an old stone inscription written in Bysilman and it led him to a shelf reference, and a book with a recipe for a phosphorus alchemy.

Finally they come together around their table at the Night Mountain inn, where Morderyn blessed them with his presence and they came to the realisation that his Mother was not simply the washed up leader of a thieves guild, she had ties to the man employing the Touch Lotus...

Roll Models D&D: Episode 63 – Hidden in the Sapphire Library

Roll Models D&D: Episode 63 – Hidden in the Sapphire Library

After fleeing Dustmere and the chaos of Dukes and heretical gods, our heroes have made Delnori connections, earned favours and the trust of a pirate crew, the Oddmium Trist, who have employed them to seek out the other half of an ancient map. And when they find it, they are welcome to join in the expedition to seek out the secret chamber the map should lead to.

Meanwhile, the Touch Lotus thieves guild work to repair the fossilised archway beneath the Scure Street canals. The thieves work under the employ of Dolan Crissaphaene, who seeks out powerful relics from the world beyond the archway and… change himself.

Our heroes laid out a plan, they needed to destroy the archway, and they needed to find the map fragment. Sentinel visited their patron’s realm, The Subtle House, to do some research in the esoteric, albeit corrupted, library. Ahmaya found solace in speaking to Murmer, the tiny bird that seems to inhabit her sword, who gave her insight into the relics called the Heirlooms of Evraen, and Schivers, the lesser relics born from the heirlooms’ dreams.

And Freya meditated with the strange orb she found in the Glass Desert, the God’s Lantern, and stepped foot in the world beyond. The Nexus where faith and spirits transverse. She followed the thread that bound her and her largely mysterious god, and found its familiar form, Kiralorne. Kiralorne revealed many things about the great being who Freya had bound herself to and named the creature this Dolan Crissaphaene sought to become: a litch.

But as Freya left the Nexus, she saw a spirit of smoke approaching her, and always curious, she waited. and it attacked, possessing her and opening her eyes in the tavern where her body sat in meditation. It was the thing they had first met in Dustmere. The Disciple who planned to create a Graven and shatter a great Seal, and they had stopped him. Xethir, the Last Disciple knew where they were…

Roll Models D&D: Episode 62 – Stories by Tavern Light

Roll Models D&D: Episode 62 – Stories by Tavern Light

Already earning a name for themselves in the chasm city of Delnori, our heroes leapt into action at the sight of the Artificer Guild’s chimney exploding up on the Dias Ward plateau.

After identifying the clock-work augmented Touch Lotus Thieves were behind it – robbing the guild of gold bars and coilstones – our heroes hunted killed one, tracked them back to the hideout beneath one of Scure Street’s canals. Speaking to the dead thieve’s body, they discovered the Touch Lotus were repairing the opal archway under the canal, to go into the world beyond it once more in search of “schivers” for their employer, Dolan Crissaphaene.

Our heroes’ attention was divided. They needed to stop The Lotus and Crissaphaene, but they had also been employed by the captain of the Oddmium Trist to seek out the other half of an ancient map that would lead them to a sunken chamber, Yelanreire. The Captain believed the map fragment was hidden in the guild garden district and once it was found, he promised to take our heroes on the expedition to Yelanreire.

Eugene spent some much-needed time with his twin Magnus, Sentinel disappeared into their Patron’s realm, the Subtle House, to research the nature of “the forgotten”, the curse that afflicted their patron and his home.

Ora and Moxie visited Chasm Town’s resident quack alchemist and black market trader, Grundle, where they bought ingredients for an alchemical bomb to destroy the opal archway.

Freya and Ahmaya snuck into the burned-out house above the old Touch Lotus HQ to stake out the hidden and very-much-locked elevator that was carved into the deepest cliffs of Scure Street. after hours, they saw the thieves opening the way by tapping their arms to a disguised brass plate that was covered artificing sigilism.

The two of them sprinted to the other side of the city to the dead Touch Lotus in the Guild Garden, it had only been 8 hours, after all. Ahmaya tricked the attention House Talicit guards while Freya successfully cut away a sigil-covered brass plate embedded in the dead thieve’s forearm.

But while new enemies were taking action, old ones continued to plot in the shadows…

Roll Models D&D: Episode 61 – Secrets, Stakeouts & Surgery

Roll Models D&D: Episode 61 – Secrets, Stakeouts & Surgery

With their renown in the Chasm City rising, our heroes fled to the aid of the Guild Garden as an explosion rocked the Artificers Guild.

They soon realised the clockwork-augmented Touch Lotus Thieves guild were behind it who were throwing fire and thugs into the district to cause chaos while they stole gold bars and coilstones. Our heroes fought-off the thieves along with a horrific creature summoned from a severgaol. Once the thieves fled with their spoils, Moxie spoke to one of the Touch Lotus bodies.

They revealed that, under the employ of the odd, ex-alchemist Dolan Crissaphaene, the Lotus Thieves were going to use the stolen materials to repair the archway beneath the canal in Scure Street and then once again delve into the tunnel-world beyond in search of artefacts.

These artefacts would then be used to empower Crissaphaene in some way so he might survive to see the end of the world he foresaw.

Soon after, our heroes finally met with Eugene’s long-lost twin brother Magnus who had taken up work in sweet makers shop in the plaza district. Magnus, who was even more eccentric than Eugene in some ways, told Eugene that their father was still missing. He gave Eugene a blueprint their father left for him, and using his strange device, the Enriver’s Lexicon, Eugene discovered it not only contained plans to modify his crossbow, but also further detail to the location of the next hidden cache, and it was close.

Eugene also revealed a dark secret about his past, his invention of an “aerated, emulsified milk-based confection” and how he was sent to prison for poisoning a Duke’s son at their grand launch of the product. A duke called Lucard Wilhelm… a name that Freya immediately recognised.

Preparations began for the next showdown with the Touch Lotus, so far, the plan appeared to be… explode the archway with an alchemical bomb. Meanwhile, Sentinel had a patron to visit…

Roll Models D&D: Episode 60 – The Killer Confectionary Conundrum

Roll Models D&D: Episode 60 – The Killer Confectionary Conundrum

Fresh from the waves of the Broken Sea and with the dukes’ heretical chaos behind them for now… our heroes sailed into the chasm city of Delnori.

After gaining renown with Ripper, a pirate innkeeper, and the philanthropic pirate crew of the Oddmium Trist, our heroes were closing in on the plot of an ex-guild alchemist, Dolan Crissaphaene.

They first met the Crissaphaene deep in the Maze Markets where he was offering cure-alls in trade for blood, but they soon found out he was employing a group of thieves called the Touch Lotus, as well as potentially augmenting their bodies with clockwork.

After tracking a group of scarred, hoofed creatures to a great, fossilised archway under the canal, it become clear Crissaphaene was attempting to send the thieves through in search of powerful artefacts. But it had broken.

But as our heroes closed in on a job with the Oddmium Trist and prepared to meet Eugene’s long-lost brother, Magnus, an explosion rocked the city.

It was the Touch Lotus. Chasing them across the Gild Garden district, our heroes cut down thugs were wreaking havoc on the fleeing guild members, and then clashed with a horrific, scarred creature the Lotus has released from a portable prison called a severgaol.

Finally, they chased the Lotus to the Artificer’s guild where the clockwork-augmented thieves were dragging a sack of gold bars and coilstones from the smoking warehouse. And despite our heroes’ maelstrom of attacks, the thieves snapped a silver spell stick and disappeared in the colourless fire of a teleportation spell.

But one had been killed. Moxie spoke to his remains, revealing that they were gathering the ingredients to fix the archway, to find powerful artefacts called schivers that would make Crissaphane more than mortal.

Roll Models D&D: Episode 59 – The Artifice of Dead Thieves

Roll Models D&D: Episode 59 – The Artifice of Dead Thieves

Crawling within the seaside chasms and alleys of Delnori city are several challenges for our heroes.

First there’s the rising appearances of strange creatures in the city, each bearing looping, circular scars. There’s the Lamoré crime family, one half of the broken Delnori Thieves Guild, who seem to be in bitter turmoil. And there’s the philanthropic pirate crew of the Oddmium Trist.

The latter of which recently made a deal with our heroes: find the other half of an ancient map within the walled-off Dias Ward, and they may join the crew as temporary members to seek out the sealed chamber.

But there is also the mysterious Touch Lotus Thieves, the other half of the fractured Delnori Thieves Guild. They seem to be employed by a sinister alchemist, Dolan Crissaphaene, who our heroes stumbled across in the Maze Market.

Together, the Lotus and Crissaphaene appear to be attempting to fix a fossilised gateway beneath Scure Street to explore what lies beyond it and seek out artefacts known as “Schivers”.

After chasing down a pack of thugs who appeared to be behind the explosion at the Artificer Guild, our heroes came face to face with none other than the member of the Touch Lotus with the brass eye.

“Open the Severgaol!” He ordered, and the thugs obliged, dropping the large, brass box they were carrying. One of them took a chisel to the concentric inscriptions in the brass, sparks flashed, and the clasp snapped, the box swinging open.

A scythe the colour of bloodless flesh reached out from within and slipped through the torso of the thug. An eerily human face on a formless body emerged like a spider on scythes. Its pitted eyes locked onto our heroes. The man with the Brass Eye grinned and fled.

Roll Models D&D: Episode 58 – Bound Fiends & Clockwork Thieves

Roll Models D&D: Episode 58 – Bound Fiends & Clockwork Thieves

RollModels returns for an explosive start to the year!

    New Year recap:

After arriving at the seaside chasm-city of Delnori and completing some tricky jobs, our heroes quickly became renown among the pirates of Rippers galleon bar and known by one half of a split thieves guild who now went by their family name The Lamorés.

During one of their recent jobs, they tracked a fiendish creature underground, and found themselves in a buried temple. The walls and even carvings had been preserved by an opal fossilisation. Deeper still they went and found a giant archway of stone being repaired by the other half of the fractured thieves guild – The Touch Lotus.

Soon after, our heroes found themselves tangled up with the Lotus’s employer, Dolan Crissaphaene, an uncanny alchemist trading blood for cure-alls. They found out he was indeed once a guild alchemist and had a visceral hatred of the guild in Delnori.

After regrouping, our heroes took on a job with a strange, kind-of philanthropic pirate crew of the Oddmium Trist. They were looking for a chamber that was lost to the broken sea when the Great Unbinding shook the world. Within that chamber were preserved Pre-unbinding treasures. All our heroes had to do was find the other fragment of an arcane map secreted away in the Dias Ward district. A place no pirate could enter easily.

Returning to the Old Quay our heroes strolled toward the Plaza District, discussing plans. Up on the Dias Ward Plateau a pinprick light flashed and winked out at the very peak of a guild spire. Then smoke and fire bloomed from it, casting out a racing wave of force across rooftops, shattering windows and approaching our heroes.

This year, they achieved some incredible feats. Killing the corrupted remains of the last living Graven God, pulling themselves free from the flowing dunes of the Glass Desert into a noble conspiracy in Dustmere, the cobbled city in the sand.

In Dustmere they followed the threads deeper, uncovering a noble’s plan to turn a worshipped duke into a Graven God and allow a mysterious figure called Xethir to kill it and in doing so break a Great Seal. The consequences of which remain unknown.

But they, the unlikely guests at a noble’s ball, stopped the ritual, slaying the creature themselves and fleeing the city by ship. Now wanted by both the Crime Syndicate and Xethir, they looked to new horizons.

The desperate tribulations of the Desert may have brought our heroes together, and through necessity, curiosity and possibility… they chose to remain. But over the months, uncovering their own, personal adventures, being the friends to drink with, to laugh with, to cry with, and to face insurmountable challenges with, they have become bound.

Delnori and the Zarxotic Isles present a new adventure, one of clockwork thieves and sinister alchemists, of ancient pirates and long-lost secrets, and of much, much more...

    Roll Models D&D: Episode 56 – Concoctions & Corsairs

    Roll Models D&D: Episode 56 – Concoctions & Corsairs

Our heroes arrived through the Seagate of Delnori as strangers to the city. Little did the Chasm Town pirates and Dias Ward nobility know who they were dealing with.

After completing two jobs in quick succession – both of which were significantly more work than first seemed – the party split.

Without Ora and Eugene, our heroes took to the Maze Markets where they hunted out bargains with the hawkers, bought new weapons and came across a rumoured alchemist who was trading cure-all potions for a vial of blood.

Sentinel disguised themselves as a sick half elf, and with Ahmaya, Freya, and Moxie’s help, convinced the alchemist to cure them. So he took some of their blood and gave them one of his elixirs. Only after did they ask for his name… “Dolan Crissaphaene.”

The same name of the mysterious figure employing the Touch Lotus Thieves guild in their endeavours to fix a portal to a place called a “Burrowing”.

The team leapt into action. Ahmaya lied to Crissaphaene, saying that they were staying at an Inn called the Deighton Arms and asked for his directions through the Maze Market. In that moment, Sentinel’s familiar, Zeal stole the blood from the Alchemists bag.

After they fled the Maze Markets, Ahmaya chose to stake out the Deighton Arms. A few hours, and a few meals later, the Touch Lotus man with the brass eye came in looking for her and a “tiefling”. She fled the inn to meet the others in the Plaza square, the brass-eyed thief somewhere behind her…

The previous night, Ora and Eugene went off drinking, and in the early hours of the morning they left to explore, run more private errands and, in Eugene’s case, make sweets and try to remember old feelings…

Roll Models D&D: Episode 55 – a Game of Taverns

After tumbling through the seaside chasm city of Delnori, and already making a name for themselves, our heroes split.

Eugene, with the grace of a letter, let the rest of the team know he would be spending the day at Bitter Sweet Caramels in the resident markets, hopefully making sweets with the proprietor.

Ora, however, was more mysterious. After drinking with Eugene into the early hours, he left the Old Diver Inn in the morning mist to run errands.

The rest of our heroes awoke and made the obvious decision… Shopping!

But the sweet wonders of the tangled Maze Market soon turned sour… they stumbled across a rumoured alchemist who’d been offering cure-alls in trade for a sample of blood.

Keen to investigate, and more than a little suspicious, our heroes approached. Sentinel deciding to make a trade for one of his vials of alchemy. But only after he withdrew her blood did they ask for his name…

“Crissaphaene,” he said, “Dolan Crissaphaene.” The name, our heroes knew as the person currently employing the Touch Lotus Thieves Guild…

Roll Models D&D: Episode 54 – The Mysteries of the Maze Markets

Roll Models D&D: Episode 54 – The Mysteries of the Maze Markets

Diving from the sand into sea, our heroes have already made waves in the shadowy, seaside chasm-city of Delnori.

Two jobs down and a homely inn as a temporary HQ, they took stock of the conflicts brewing in the streets…

The once powerful Thieves Guild was split, and in the ancient caves of its old hideout the new guild, renamed “the Touch Lotus”, plots with a mysterious employer called Crissaphaene.

On their last job, our heroes stumbled onto the Lotus repairing the opalised archway in the caves at the order of Crissaphaene and with the aim of exploring the “burrowing” world beyond it to retrieve relics and curiosities.

There is also the other half of the split Thieves Guild, the Lamoré family, who lie hidden in the city, and a philanthropic pirate crew of the Oddmium Trist who seem active.

There is also the onward questions of Xethir, The Disciple, who’s plot our heroes foiled in Dustmere, and who likely continues on his crusade to break the One Thousand Seals.

But before our heroes wade into the shady fissures, cobbled alleyways and teeming Maze Markets of Delnori, first they must eat, and drink and seek the guidance of gods…

Roll Models D&D: Episode 53 – Machinations of the Buried Door

Roll Models D&D: Episode 53 – Machinations of the Buried Door

Our heroes have only been in the seaside chasm city Of Delnori for a matter of days, but already they have made their mark. They are acquaintances of Ripper, the pirate innkeeper, and rescuer of an old Tanner who was plagued by otherworldly creatures.

It was these creatures they tracked from the Tanner’s to the burned-out headquarters of a once notorious guild of thieves.

After rooting out the last of the monstrosities, they found a trap door beneath the nest, and it led down tunnels carved into the bedrock. Still following the tracks, our heroes moved through the dark tunnels, finding an ancient place. It was a temple, buried and fossilised and hollowed into a dark opal cast of what once was a church to Evraen, the Mother of Magic.

The place, although clearly furnished and once used by the Thieves Guild, was now veiled in dust, the creatures’ tracks the only activity to have disturbed it — and they originated from a stack of rubble in a side room.

Our heroes cleared the boulders and found another tunnel in the wall, this one burrowing steeply down and ending in a horizontal, circular borehole, 2 feet wide that was filled with water.

After much debating, Ahmaya chose to scout ahead. They tied a rope about her ankle, she crawled down the borehole and then slid into the submerged tunnel. Moving hand over hand and kicking, Ahmaya could see nothing ahead but greyscale darkness…

Roll Models D&D: Episode 52 – Down Tunnels of Opal

Roll Models D&D: Episode 52 – Down Tunnels of Opal

Delnori, the city built into the chasms of the broken sea cliffs, hides many secrets. Old truths built and buried in the shattered bedrock beneath the city, sealed into permineralised nodules.

And new mysteries that were born in Delnori as it is now. Down Scure Street, the three fissures burrowing east into the bedrock of the Hazarli continent like the imprints of broken fingers.

It is down one of these Fissures our heroes find themselves.

After breaking into a tanner’s and fighting off a pair of hoofed canine monstrosities that could mimic voices, our heroes saved the trapped tanner and tracked the creatures to their nest, deeper down the fissure street.

The prints led them to the rumoured HQ of the Touch Lotus Thieves Guild. Abandoned and left to rot, the wooden bungalow and burned-out steeple jutted from the fog.

But a drop-box for gold and enquiries appeared to still be in use. It was eerily quiet, but our heroes were not alone.

Several more of the creatures attacked, the fight was brutal, knocking Sentinel unconscious, but together they gathered about what hid beneath the nest: a trap door, framed in brass with a symbol stamped at the lock.

A lotus flower in brass, and at its centre was an open-mouthed skull…

Roll Models D&D: Episode 51 – A Lotus in the Mist

Roll Models D&D: Episode 51 – A Lotus in the Mist

New to the ocean cove city of Delnori, our heroes threw themselves into work – possibly to distract from the insanity of their recent departure from Dustmere.

In their first job was simple: find and scare-straight the Chasm Pigs gang. instead, our heroes found themselves fighting off the now-rabid gang members who had been magically dominated by a horrific giant rat that seemed to have been modified with clockwork. They freed who they could and find the rat, but not before it funnelled its thoughts it into Eugene’s mind – it’s terror of the “maker” that had created and enslaved it.

The next job was pest control at a shack of a tannery. But on arrival it became clear that the place had been left unattended – damp leathers had begun moulding, and the table held the drying remains of the tanner’s last meal.

Ahmaya also found a letter, from the tanner, Jeffrum, to a pirate crew of the Oddmium Trist, in which he was following up the gold he’d sent them in request for aid with the creatures that plagued his home.

Then a voice called down for help from up the narrow stairs, Jeffrum. Then another cried from the coal basement, identical, telling them not to trust the voice upstairs.

Meanwhile Eugene, feeling perturbed, had left and wandered out into the tanning area to inspect the chemicals with his alchemist’s eye. A similar voice bubbled from the tanning vat beside him, and a horrific hoofed canine leapt from the caustic wash.

The fight was savage, both inside and outside the house. Jeffrum had barricaded himself upstairs, and after slaying the two monstrosities, he told our heroes about the upheaval of the Thieves Guild, now split into the Lamoré family and the Touch Lotus Thieves. And the old HQ was deeper down this Fissure of Scure Street… right where the old tracks seemed to tread from.

Our heroes followed the hoofprints deeper into North fissure to where fog rolled over the path and canal. Like a rounded stone in a stream the wooden bungalow bulged from the mist and jutting from its roof was a burned-out steeple.

They stepped onto the mud, amid the fog and jumbled tombstones…
