Sometimes in life we miss the mark.  We can focus our attention on the wrong areas or get distracted by the things that don’t matter or are not as important.  This also happens in the church today.

Pastor Devin continues teaching in Acts chapter 2.  This chapter is a model for a healthy purpose and mission for a church, as we see power, preaching and people in Acts 2.  In this message, we focus on what is required for communicating the truth of Jesus (Preaching).  We look at Peter's example to us and talk about how we can use this in everyday life.

Guest Speaker Andrew Dawson, Assemblies of God US Missionary and founder of Operation For Freedom, brings the Word from the book of John while sharing his heart to reach the vulnerable who are caught in the life of human trafficking.

“Judas” is not a popular name used in America. Not many parents are choosing to name their child “Judas” over names like “John”, “Mark”, “Carson”, or “Tyler”. The reason goes all the way back to the Bible story of Judas betraying Jesus. 

In this message, Pastor Devin encourages us, if we are not going to even name our children “Judas”, let us not act like Judas. Let us look at the mistakes he made and learn from him. Even though his mistakes are similar to Peter’s, their outcomes in life are completely different.

In life there are many “curveballs” that get thrown at us.  Life gets complicated.  We experience things we are not ready for.  How do we handle them?  In this message, Pastor Devin continues in Chapter 1 of the book of Acts as we see a curveball that the early followers had to deal with. 

Special Guest Drew Gysi from The Life Institute brings the Word along with some wise, practical advice on how to manage our finances in a biblical, God-honoring way.

In Acts 1, we see Jesus give final instructions to his disciples.  He then ascends into the clouds with the promise of his return spoken by the angels.  What will the disciples do?  Do they obey Him, or do they ignore Him?  This is part 3 of our series in the book of Acts.

In part 2 of Acts: REAL FAITH, we look at Jesus' final words to his disciples before he ascended into heaven.  These instructions were so important because Jesus was entrusting the continuation of his ministry to them.  These instructions are just as important for us as we continue to carry out Jesus’ mission on earth.  

Today, Abundant Life Church starts a new series in the book of Acts, which is a continuation of the book of Luke and a continued look at the work of Jesus through His followers. As we start to look at this historic book of the Bible, we see followers who were eyewitnesses of Jesus are our best examples of how we can live our lives with REAL FAITH!

Jesus promises through Him, we will have victory in our lives over the forces of darkness (Matthew 16:18). But can we have freedom over spiritual bondage?

Pastor Devin will share what the Bible says about Jesus' power over demonic forces, how we can know if someone is in bondage to demonic control, and how to be set free.

Jesus gave us incredible news! As we stand on His Word, Jesus promises that His church will be built and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18).

Even though we know this truth, we still must fight the battle. Fighting the battle means understanding and knowing who you are fighting. If we don't realize there is an enemy attacking, we won't experience Jesus" victory in our lives. The powers of darkness are constantly scheming against us.

As we wrap up our ‘Better Relationships’ series, we are talking about our relationships with our kids and with our parents. This is a relationship in most of our lives that is different than any other kind of relationship.  The role of a parent in a child’s life is so vital to their development.  The relationship between a child and their parent is always there; through different seasons of life.  God’s word gives us direction on how those relationships can be so much better and God-honoring as we walk in his commands.

Today, we are focusing on God’s design for a better marriage.  As we look at God’s reasoning for marriage, we can understand how marriage should function between a husband and a wife.  No matter what state your marriage is in, or if you are hoping to be married, you will want to join us for this very relevant message.
