Our final 2020 podcast is a pop-up with our friend Lindsey!  We talk about olympic- style weight lifting and power lifting with Lindsey - it's her jam.  It's an informal clinic about the different lifting styles.  As always, Lindsey is fun and sassy.  And yes, it's a deep dive into weight lifting...Happy New Year!

Is Die Hard really a Christmas movie?  We support you if you think it is!  We talk about some of our favorite Christmastime movies.  If you've seen The Lemondrop Kid, drop us a line at theavaryspodcast@gmail.com and let us know - or tell us what your favorite holiday movies are.  Mandalorian spoiler alerts - Rebecca is over the moon about the most recent, and last of the season, episode.  Think Mark Hamill and CGI.  This week we cover more messages in a bottle, clearly Ann's latest obsession.  We have officially dropped the COVID moment of the week segment.  Why you ask?  Rebecca says I'm experiencing COVID induced anger, therefore, time to take a break!  She is, of course, right :)  
Join us next week for Part II of our conversation with Lindsey - we'll cover weight lifting with Lindsey.  And she's the real deal.  And after Rebecca's very enthusiastic description of the Mandalorian episode, we have decided to dedicate one entire episode to all things Star Wars.  Get ready to experience the Force! 

Due to circumstances of holiday travel and just being damn tired, Rebecca didn't get around to editing this episode until December, which was a TRAVESTY because this is actually a really good episode. Ann and Rebecca discuss their holiday together in Washington State, the plague bus that ended up being fine, ungrateful squirrels, and the Great British Baking Show finale! Don't miss this one, we had fun and hope you will too.

Rebecca and Ann return to herald the upcoming COVID19 vaccine and to mourn the Great British Baking Show, but worry not, The Mandalorian is helping with the pain. The two discuss a successful and not-so-successful SpaceX launch and then share a story of a message in a bottle that traveled more than 2000 miles and how cool that is, but maybe, in retrospect, throwing a plastic bottle into the ocean is not a great idea.

This week we welcome Lindsey, and we talk all things MMA.  It was patisserie week on the Great British Baking Show - brutal for one contestant.  We get some Mardi Gras details wrong, but that’s okay because at The Avary’s Podcast, we’re always moderately prepared! 
Next week we continue the conversation with Lindsey, we go from MMA to the world of weight lifting. 

This week we shed the dull, dreary world of post-election over analysis and go back to what we love best - the Great British Baking Show, binge worthy TV, interesting news tidbits and anything else we find interesting.  We hope you will come along for the ride - it's always moderately prepared and mostly interesting ;)

In this episode we learn that my geography skills are lacking. Instead of being 2000 miles from Anacortes to El Segundo, it’s really 1222 miles.  And of course that is 6,452,160 feet!
We cover it all this week - gay penguins, the Great British Baking Show and the full moon. Rebecca shares her favorite new tv binge - Utopia.  Of course, we forgot about day light savings time - hope you all remembered to turn your clocks back! This week it’s an all out rant!  Following my rant we get into some fun topics 😉 We cover everything from presidential cookies to exploding WWII bombs.  And of course, we’re all in on the Great British Baking show - we share our thoughts about Chocolate Week - it was brutal! As always, we continue to live up to our motto ‘we are moderately prepared.’  This week more than most. 

Bread Week,  Tiger King and flights to nowhere. Just some of the topics for which we were moderately prepared this week. And course we talk COVID.

This week we talk about the Big Cheese contracting Covid, Influencers v Posers, Subway Sandwiches and well, you'll hear the rest!

Well, we didn’t get to Influencers - look for that next week. We’re still getting the hang of a two studio set up, this week Ann sounds she was yelling into a soup can. Beyond that, this week offers up more of our moderately prepared content!  We share our obsession with the Great British Baking Show, and talk about the new season. In this episode we don’t have a clue about where the moles are coming from.  We are sure however they are not wearing masks and social distancing.  Ann has declared war - stay tuned to find out who wins.  Our money is on the moles.

Rebecca is officially over the remodel, and thinks people should be allowed to bowl.

This week we were so excited to talk about the successful return of Astronauts Doug and Bob aboard the SpaceX Crew Dragon.  Basically we geeked out. And of course we share our weekly COVID moments, more on our DIY journey and yes, porta potty’s.
