The Hornet's Nest

A wave of  paranormal activity sweeps through the greater New Haven area. Dr. Hornet - inspired by the French prog band Gong - invites callers to share their stories, hoping he can piece together what's really causing these ghosts and goblins to roam the streets of Elm City...

In an attempt to make his listeners forget about an (alleged) incident of farting on a live mic, Dr. Hornet enlists the help of the strange Dr. Magic to cast a memory-erasing spell. Unfortunately, the spell has consequences that will change the fabric of reality - and, most importantly, The Hornet's Nest - forever! During the WRGW Pledge Drive Dr. Hornet accidentally reveals that janitor "Sammy Miller" is notorious mob snitch Lorenzo “Bocce Boy” Bendetti. When a powerful mafioso offers to donate $25k in return for information on Bocce Boy, Dr. Hornet has to decide what's more important: raising money for the station or protecting his beloved janitor.

When fellow WRGW broadcaster Cool Bob "closes the book" on Dr. Hornet, he finds himself a social pariah. As the whole community turns on Dr. Hornet, he uses his show to plead with Bob to revoke his patented Done Deal.

He suspects a conspiracy, and is lead down a rabbit hole he can never escape from...

Dr. Hornet is broadcasting live from the WRGW Beach Bash, an annual celebration where listeners and on-air talent enjoy games, food and summer fun. The Doctor of Rock is especially excited because the legendary Southside Johnny will be arriving to play some of his exciting brand of New Jersey rock. But when bombastic anti-vaxxer (and former WRGW employee) Coach McManus arrives, he instead brings his own horrible version of hell with him.

To celebrate his return to New Haven, Dr. Hornet decides to revisit the Hornet Manifesto, the guiding rules of The Hornet’s Nest. Listeners are invited to call in and suggest changes to these rules, which does not go well for anyone involved.

Dr. Hornet tries to broaden her classic rock palate to mixed results.

Plus: a special guest appearance from vigilante of justice Blood Death!

Dr. Hornet hosts Franklin O’Doule, the owner of Jerry’s Basement, a legendary and beloved Manhattan record store. As callers call in to ask Jerry questions about music and the store, everything seems to be going well... that is, until  Dr. Hornet reveals that Franklin screwed up one of his orders.
