    The Immeasurable Podcast

The Immeasurable is dedicated to exploring the essential questions of our existence; who we are and where we are going. The intent is to inspire listeners to question assumptions of the mind, offering opportunities to ask deep questions into common life themes that are superficially accepted. We take no ideological positions except to encourage the spirit of inquiry. We aim to provide an in-depth look at dialogue and exploration around Krishnamurti’s teachings. There will be interviews of people who have spent time with Krishnamurti, as well as explorations around the content of his teachings, our programs, and our annual conference. The Immeasurable is a project of the Krishnamurti Center in Ojai, CA. The KFA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

TEACHINGS: Cleansing the Mind of the Accumulation of Time | J. Krishnamurti & David Bohm | Part 2

The Immeasurable Podcast is highlighting a fifteen-part series from Ojai recorded in 1980 where J. Krishnamurti spoke with David Bohm about the ending of time. You can visit Pine Cottage where this conversation took place, and where Krishnamurti lived and passed away, during visiting hours at the Krishnamurti Library in Ojai, CA. J. Krishnamurti & David Bohm - Ojai 1980 - 2: Cleansing the Mind of the Accumulation of Time

    Series: The Ending of Time

Time is the enemy of man.

Is there a beginning which is not enmeshed in time?

We said nothingness is everything and so it is total energy. It is undiluted pure, uncorrupted energy. Is there something beyond that?

Has man ever been free from the ‘I’?

That emptiness can only exist when there is death of the particular.

    J. Krishnamurti & David Bohm - Ojai 1980 - 1: The Roots of Psychological Conflict

    Series: The Ending of Time

Has humanity taken a wrong turn?

What is the root of this tremendous inward conflict of humanity?

When I am trying to become something it is a constant battle.

Can the brain itself see that it is caught in time and as long as it is moving in that direction conflict is eternal, endless?

Can the mind realize, resolve a psychological problem immediately?

Has mankind journeyed through millennia to come to this: that I am nothing and therefore I am everything and all energy?

    J. Krishnamurti - Ojai 1982 - Discussion with Scientists 2 - Psychological Suffering

    Summary:

    What is security?

I have an image about myself. I am a great cook, a great scientist, a great carpenter, whatever you will. I have got that picture in myself and you come along and put a pin into it. And that gets hurt, the image gets hurt. The image is me.

    What is a human being?

You are not basically different from me. You may be tall, you may be born in England, I may be born in Africa, I have dark skin, but deep down, the river, the content of the river is the water. The river is not an Asiatic river or European river, it is a river.
Love is not English, American or Indian. Agony is not yours or mine, it is agony. But we identify ourselves with agony - it is my agony, which is not yours. Why do we want to identify with something?

Is there a learning about oneself which is not constant accumulation about myself?

EXPLORATION: The Nature Of Dialogue | Jackie McInley | Episode 1

To register for Jackie McInley's upcoming ONLINE program click on this link: An Exploration of Hurt in Our Lives (April 19th-23rd, 2021) from the Krishnamurti Foundation of America.

In the following podcast, Jackie McInley explores the nature of dialogue with Henry Fischer. This is part of an on-going series looking at the habitual ways we approach any topic with another person. Do we freely listen or do we bring beliefs and conclusions to our conversations and react from them? Are we more mechanical than we realize?

Some topics in this series include: What is dialogue, what makes it different? What does it mean to relate to someone directly? Is there a "psychological wound" which is commonly avoided? Can we see the movement of thought without any psychological separation from it?

As we continue to meet this mechanical process through direct observation and ask penetrating questions without relating to them from memory, do we begin to knock at the door of the what Krishnamurti calls "the immeasurable"?
