    Fakes, Imposters & Backstabbers

We live in a harsh world, filled with both loyal and fake friendships. And unfortunately, it's not always easy to differ one from the other unless you've experienced it. And whether dishonest friends have ruined your lives or not, forgiving and forgetting may not be as easy as it sounds, but it definitely is one method we can all apply so we don’t live a life of guilt. In today’s episode, the slackers discuss their experiences with fake friends and how it taught them valuable life lessons, and the sad reality of toxic friendships. For Thomas, who loved to mingle around with several groups of friends, it wasn’t clear to him who his real ones were against the fakes until he gets thrown under the bus by someone who he used to consider a "brother”. Meanwhile, Ron and Earl bicker between each other about who the fake one is between them; with Ron expressing his way of life, avoiding certain friendships once he spots red flags, while Earl expresses his distaste with changes among his friends. So fasten your seatbelt for an eye-opening relatable episode, because EVERYONE has either experienced or currently have two-faced people around them, and it's always helpful to spot them before any damage is done. The Art Of Sucking Up

    The Art Of Sucking Up

Sucking up, arse-licking, boot-kisser, it comes in many different names. But does sucking up to someone for personal gain generally make you look like a bad person? From sucking up to teachers in school, to people in the professional world, it's naturally been the unconscious way people behave towards others that have something beneficial to offer. However, it can equally backfire, causing certain consequences... In today’s episode, the slackers share their ambitious experiences sucking up to people in hopes to gain something from them, from clout and social gain, to emotional crushes and more. Being a part of a minority, Thomas talks about how he sucked up to someone just to fit in, and experience the feeling of being with the “popular guys”. Meanwhile, Ron believes that the act of sucking up to another is normally done unconsciously, with people doing their best to settle a positive image of themselves at school, which gets carried forward in the professional world. But simping on the other hand? That's a completely different story that he himself shares an experience on, going as far as having Thomas as a wingman to assist him on his puppy love quests. On the other hand, being the introvert that Earl is, he shares his controversial mindset that every extrovert that socializes generally sucks up to people and how being friendly around people is just an act for personal gain and opportunities.

Some might say sucking up to someone is natural, while some may say otherwise. So stop WHATEVER it is you're doing, and have a listen to this episode to see if we manage to change your perspective on the idea of sucking up. Who knows, you too may be doing it unconsciously.

How It Feels To Be Left Alone

How It Feels To Be Left Alone

With youths these days being glued to their phones, it's ironic how seenzoning and virtually ignoring others have naturally been a habit for some... but why is that? We've all dealt with people who've ignored us either by seenzoning or leaving us in their inbox, and never getting back to us; and maybe, we've done it too - but it's okay we forgive you. So in today’s episode, the slackers dive into their experiences of getting seenzoned or inboxed by those they've messaged. Being the loving and caring person that Earl is, his experience dates back to his university days where an incident took place, leaving him miserable as no one seemed to be available during a vulnerable time, exposing the fakes from the true friends.

Meanwhile, being on both sides of the spectrum, Thomas shares his experience on being the vengeful seenzoner he became caused by others seenzoning him, who he later chose to distance himself from. Finally, Ron analyses and expresses the reason why some people may seenzone or leave others unread on their inbox, further considering their busy lifestyle and other possible factors outside their mobile phones. Thus, join the slackers in this petty episode as they collectively rant about their experiences, and ultimately answer the question - Which one is worst, being seenzoned or being inboxed?

    Why You Should Trust Strangers

    Why You Should Trust Strangers

With the world we live in today, the thought of making friends by socializing and reaching out to strangers does get pretty intimidating and challenging especially for introverts. Hence, the slackers share their relatable experiences about how they struggled building friendships in the past, to help conclude the best ways one can make friends today. With Thomas and Earl being more introverted, it wasn't always a walk in the park when it came to socializing with and befriending stranger. Although, being able to relate with those with similar interests and hobbies did indeed help Thomas and Earl get more comfortable interacting with them.
Ron, on the other hand, being more of an extrovert, talks about the modern day art of friend-making, that we have access to through our phones. He takes Earl and Thomas through an EYE-OPENING analogy that showcases how socializing really has evolved over time, with the help of social media apps.

Despite everything, it definitely still isn't easy to socialize and make friends today, especially due to natural trust issues and social awkwardness. Fortunately, the slackers are always open to conversations and will always guarantee a good time.

    The Toxicity Of The Internet

    The Toxicity Of The Internet

In a world where approximately 70% of people globally have a smart phone with more than 90% being teenagers, we are surrounded by screens. But how many youths really take a step back and think about the social affects of smart phones today? Hence, buckle your seatbelts as this episode has the slackers answer the question - "Smart Phones: A Blessing or A Curse?". Thomas and Earl mutually agree that it is indeed a curse due to the addiction they've experienced and still experience with their eyes glued onto their smart screens, and how toxic it can get in the world of social media. On the contrary, Ron argues that it’s a blessing because of the countless benefits and resources that are placed on the palm of your hand, making daily tasks, communication, and other things hella convenient. However, he further admits to the faults and negativities that it brings along with it, and states that a 'balanced diet' is still required when using smart phones.

Regardless, there are NUMEROUS advantages and benefits that smart phones bring, but it ultimately depends on the intention behind its use, how it is used, and whether it's taken for granted, that results in it transforming into a curse. So strap yourself in for another episode, and perhaps let us know whether mobiles phones are indeed a blessing or a curse.

    Answering The Million Dollar Question...

    Answering The Million Dollar Question...

The question that has long loomed and walked the earth for centuries and centuries, "Can money buy happiness?" finally gets answered by yours truly. In this episode, the slackers dive right into the million dollar question, with Thomas saying that it 100% can due to the difficult reality we live in, surrounded by financial responsibilities and materialistic things, making him believe that one cannot live without money in the world we live in today. Meanwhile, Earl firmly argues otherwise, stating that money CANNOT buy happiness because it's only really the purchases and materialistic items that create momentary happiness. Finally, Ron stands neutral, as he conveys how money does help people achieve happiness; however, only to an extent.

And lastly, the episode's icing on the cake comes in the form of an intense concluding debate, where the guys choose between pursuing your passion over money, or chasing money over passion.

We know you've thought about this question, and you may have already figured it out, maybe not; regardless, this episode is for EVERYONE, and it would be foolish to miss out on it. So grab some popcorn, your headphones, sit back on your couch, and have a listen and enjoy.

Your Grades Don't Define You... or Do They?

Your Grades Don't Define You... or Do They?

In the modern world we live in, students are more than often pressured with the idea that grades and GPAs define you as a student and as an intellectual individual... but do they really? In today’s INTENSE episode, the slackers openly discuss their opinions on whether grades directly determines success and helps you achieve your goals. From Earl's experiences from high school to university, he personally expresses his past challenges with not letting grades mentally affect him or those around him, believing that grades DO NOT and SHOULD NOT define a person and their future. Additionally, Thomas believes that it's not about how others see you, but how you see and think of yourself. Lastly, Ron agrees with the belief that grades do not determine the future of a person; however, he argues that education is still important as the life lessons you learn within and outside the class are important to the real world, referring to the success and failures you experience within school.

Several students are pressured with the expectations of high grades, and failing to do so or falling short, have resulted in mental and emotional distraught. Hence, the slackers are here to keep you company and remind you that there are always people around you willing to support and help you out - including us. As you prepare for your exams, don’t be so hard on yourself, live a little and remember, grades don't define you as a person. "Work Smart, Not Hard" Exam Edition

It's that time of the year again and if you're still a student, you know what we're talking about - exam season... BUT don't worry as the slackers got y'all covered this episode as they talk about the weirdest study habits and rituals they've done in their lives, that may or may not have helped them get to where they are today. With Ron being the most intellectual between the three, he surprisingly thrives under pressure, studying days before the exam. And believe it or not, it's worked out pretty well for him. On the contrary, Thomas tries his best to prepare weeks before his exams, but ultimately isn't very efficient as whatever was read would simply enter one ear, and exit the other days later. Finally, from all the crazy experiments Earl has done in trying to achieve the best grades he could possibly attain, there's no doubt that he's tried them all, if not, most of the WEIRDEST ones, from study habits to even crazy superstitious rituals. So with that being said, go ahead and clear your busy schedules for another wild stupid rollercoaster of an episode, as the slackers help you prepare for your exams like you never have before. Meanwhile, Earl being the student he was, never prepared for oral weekly group quizzes. His luck  eventually ran out as he gets caught off-guard one day with a question, that transforms the oral quiz into a 'roast earl' session. Lastly, in the face of one of his most difficult obstacles up to date, having to hold his bladder in the middle of a science test, 4th grade Ron experienced one of his most embarrassing moments as he was ultimately forced to finish the test than going to the toilet. And in summary, it did not end very well...
In the end, these stories may indeed be embarrassing, but the slackers choose to flaunt them for YOUR entertainment, creating another CRAZY episode. And that is why you can't miss it...

How To Conquer Your Greatest Fears

How To Conquer Your Greatest Fears

Do your fears hinder you from living your BEST life? Does it hold you back from certain activities? Because it definitely did so with the Slack Life boys, hence the 3 slackers discuss ways where they have overcame their fears and how some fears have kept them from living their best life.

With Earl’s fear in heights and falling, it has kept him away from his love for traveling due to the thought that someday, somehow, his fears might turn into reality. This fear followed him to theme parks where rollercoasters were his biggest enemy... until one day, his friends decided to go for one, and poor Earl had no other option but to join them and face his fear of rollercoasters, where he ultimately ended up enjoying, overcoming his fear. From being terrified of rollercoasters, to loving the thrill and adrenaline of it, it’s been a long journey for Earl, unfortunately for Thomas, it hasn't been as easy for him to get rid of his fear of heights. Similar to Earl’s rollercoaster story, what seemed to be a fun experience turned out to be the opposite for Thomas; filled with peeing, crying, screaming, expressing how scared he was. And while Earl and Thomas’ fears were quite identical, Ron’s fears were much more childish, reminiscing on the time when he used to be scared of the dark. His fear caused him unpleasant experiences when he had to venture to the toilet in the middle of the night, always assuming the worst would be lurking in each corner of the dark. This followed him to the bathroom when he would constantly fear the idea that someone is always hiding behind the shower curtain, all thanks to horror movies. Lastly, the 3 slackers share a common fear of cockroaches, which turns out quite descriptive to be written here, so you wouldn’t want to miss out on this episode as they share their experiences on their greatest fears in life to help you realize you're not alone... and possibly make you realize that you are much stronger than them when it comes to facing your fears.
