    Yocto Crashkurs (glt21)

    Yocto Crashkurs (glt21)
Eine Tour durch das Yocto Ecosystem. Wo fangt man an?

Bellagio Bandit Robbed the Casino of More Than $1 Million in Chips

Tony Carleo made off with over $1 million in high-end casino chips from the Bellagio in 2010. He was immediately dubbed the Bellagio Bandit as part of a nine-year prison sentence at Nevada’s Lovelock Correctional Center. The daring robbery took place at a high-end craps table on the Bellagio casino floor. That crime was committed just five days after Carleo stole $19,000 from a Suncoast Casino poker room 10 miles outside of town. After the heist, he checked into the Bellagio Hotel and Casino to spend the money. Carleo’s eventual downfall was tied to the use of special $25,000 high roller chips.

Sag mir, was du hörst - und ich sage dir, wer du bist! (pw19)

Standing up a OSM clone with GeoServer and CSS (foss4g2019)

Standing up a OSM clone with GeoServer and CSS (foss4g2019)
See that little map on the geoserver.org web site? While looking a lot like plain OpenStreetMap tiles, it’s actually rendered by a GeoServer, using CSS styles, off a PostGIS database. The map aims to be a very close clone of the actual OSM official one, meaning it has a lot of little details often removed from lookalikes to reduce the data to be loaded and rendered. This presentation will provide a little history of its development, the performance added to speed up its rendering, a good look at the styles styles used, and the overall setup and the of the GeoServer, both in terms of physical deployment, configuration and tuning. Finally, we’ll show an alternative setup and map, still working on GeoServer, but based on styles and data from the OpenMapTiles project. Podcast 245 – I bet you didn’t expect us…

Well, what a completely insane Easter weekend that was. We went to the countryside, I flew a drone, crashed it, then went to the beach and I also found time to mow the lawn, clean the bathroom and even clean out the car. My life is so rock and roll. With all that I’ll be that … oh wait, there was beer too … so, with all that I’ll bet you didn’t think there’d be a podcast. But there is! This week … How is all this recorded? The Samsung Galaxy Fold. Oh dear. Virgin SIM-only deal A rather in-depth

The post Podcast 245 – I bet you didn’t expect us… is original content from Coolsmartphone. If you see it on another news website, please let us know.

Begrüßung Hintergrund der Konferenz Was heißt Digitalisierung? Was heißt Nachhaltigkeit? Was verbindet beides, was verbindet uns? – Thematische Einführung von Tilman Santarius (IÖW) & Constanze Kurz (CCC) Keynote: Lorenz Hilty (Universität Zürich und Empa, Schweiz) about this event: https://fahrplan.bits-und-baeume.org/events/245.html
