Ein Bestreben seit jeher in der Softwareentwicklung und im IT-Betrieb ist die Automatisierung von repetitiven Aufgaben. Aus diesem Bedürfnis sind eine Reihe Automatisierungs- und Konfigurationsmanagementtools entstanden. Unter anderem auch Ansible, das bereits in vielen Projekten Verwendung findet. Ansibles KISS-Prinzip lädt dazu ein, bereits einfache Aufgaben wie Filetransfers, Paketinstallationen und das Verwalten von Services darüber abzuwickeln. Viele Playbooks/Rollen überschreiten diesen Grad an Komplexität nicht. Die Mächtigkeit von Ansible durch die Plugin-Infrastruktur und die verwendete Templating Engine Jinja2 geht darüber noch deutlich hinaus. So lassen z.B. sich komplexe Schleifen über Objekte realisieren, Inventories aus bestehenden Infrastrukturverwaltungen wie Foreman/Katello oder Docker generieren, mit ansible-pull das aktuelle Playbook aus einem git Repository runterladen und ausführen, verschlüsselte Variablen und Dateien erst zur Laufzeit entschlüsseln oder ganze Playbooks mit Ansible generieren. How OsmBSC was extended to support inter-BSC hand-over next to the existing intra-BSC hand-over support. In 2018, OsmoBSC has undergone significant changes to allow inter-BSC (also called "external") hand-over on the A interface. The previous hand-over implementation only supported intra-BSC type hand-overs, where both the source and the target cell are served by the same BSC. In order to support hand-overs at the edge of BSC coverage areas, inter-BSC hand-over was implemented. At EMF it's easy to see lots of cool things and think you "that's awesome, but I couldn't possibly do that!": this talk is about how to overcome that feeling and get started in a new domain. Two years ago, despite having not done any woodwork since high school, I decided to turn my hand at building electric guitars; with success enough that people are now commissioning me to make them for them. But to keep such an ambitious project manageable I had to create structure and tools around how I approached getting started and continuing to develop, and find ways to keep myself motivated in the days when it all goes wrong. This talk will review those methods so that you can try and apply them when you go to head off in a new direction yourself. about this event: https://c3voc.de

We talk about the mens divisions, the woman's divisions, who we picked; the best and most stand out matches of the event. This show was our highlights of what to watch and who got robbed at this years event (Spoiler it was Keenan). We talk about sandbagging, and time in requirements, plus our general excitement surrounding this years matches. Only a single team close out in the mens and woman's divisions this year.
