Steven Agee is a giant man, funny as hell, and has a huge heart. I met him the first time at a wedding in Santa Barbara about 10 years ago. Both were large conglomerates, though Bendix was a little bigger. Both companies fought like hell to win this corporate war. 

This saga was filled with intrigue, twists and turns, and strategic positioning. And after a little more than a month ... it was over. The ending to this business tale may be a bit surprising.

It became an instant classic in the business world. And business schools across the country introduced it as a case study.

Oh, one more thing.  Even the uber-popular 1980's video game Pac Man became permanently associated with this story.
