In this episode Eric and Craig welcomed Kevin Edelson from Closer Monkey, one of our favorite websites. Closer Monkey tracks all 30 MLB bullpens and meticulously tracks the bullpen hierarchies. We discussed dozens of closers, past closers and potential future closers plus trends like position players taking the mound, closers in free agency and more. If you are a fantasy players, and especially a daily fantasy players, do not sleep on this website and service.

Chapter 2 - Crosstown Traffic. In Chapter 2, Eric and Craig examine the surprising Albert Pujols to the Dodgers deal, The injury bug hits the Dodgers and Mets, the return of the broken hand after punching the dugout wall, the Astros are playing great baseball and a look at the red-hot Giants and the ice-cold Twins.

Chapter 3 - The Marfa Tapes. In Chapter 3, Eric and Craig review the great new record by Miranda Lambert, Jack Ingram and Jon Randall, "The Marfa Tapes."

The Astros bring us “feudalism” as our vocabulary lesson, the LPBRC looks the other way with Roberto Alomar, and both the player’s union and officials from the City of Oakland call the commissioner’s office on operating in bad faith. And still our biggest rant involves cross-training with high school softball in North Carolina and, yes, questionable rules about hair. Albert Pujols finds a home with the Dodgers, Jarred Kelenic gets a curtain call, and Jose Abreu and Hunter Dozier collide. 

Our COVID report tries to explain the breakthrough cases among vaccinated Yankees, and what’s up with the Padres. In Taiwan, a disturbing upswing in infections cause the league to suspend CPBL games, at least temporarily. Women’s baseball kicks off this week in the UK. All this and Diamondback dances, Duck Dynasty, and liberal use of words like “honkin’” and “frickin.” Watch for our special episode with DC Girls Baseball to drop later this week.

DeAndre Swift we learn from our mistakes.  Tough loss for the Lions but how about Mitch Trubisky with three fourth quarter TD's in Bears win?  NOICE.
Jets game was over in the first quarter and to top it off Le'veon Bell went out with an injured hamstring.  Next week the pissed off Niners come to town.
DeAndre Hopkins had a career high 14 receptions today in the Cards win over the Niners.  Joe Burrow lost for the first time in over a year when Randy Bullock missed a 31 yard FG. He had made 24 in a row inside 40 yards.  Rough loss.
